Original Airdate 8/02/2016 The Metal boys of summer are back with a new review, Dunsmuir! From Barvewords.com: Dunsmuir, the new project featuring Clutch singer Neil Fallon, former Black Sabbath drummer Vinny Appice, Fu Manchu bassist Brad Davis, and The Company Band guitarist Dave Bone released a new album on July 22nd, 2016. When asked about the album, Appice explains, “This album is pure simple heavy ROCK that ROCKS!”“This record is an intense collaboration of four minds all set on "destroy”, says Bone. “It's been a few years in the making and now ready to erupt. Raw and in your face, we hope you like it hot!”"Dunsmuir has given us the opportunity to explore some of our favourite heavy metal influences” adds Davis. "We strove to create something I hope will inspire a lot of head banging all over the world.”Fallon adds, "We turned out some serious metal on this record and it shreds. The concept behind the lyrics is comprised of 10 tales from the survivors of a shipwreck. What had been intended as a scientific expedition, quickly deteriorates into a struggle to survive both the natural and supernatural world.”Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsoFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76
Slayer's final gig was on November 30, 2019, in the band's Los Angeles hometown. But the night marked a new beginning for iconic Slayer songwriter/guitarist Kerry King. The band co-founder wasn't nearly finished; he had much more brutal and provocative music brewing, stages to dominate, heads to roll. King's sound and vision manifest in the 13 songs on From Hell I Rise, the first solo outing in King's four decades of slaying the metal universe. His particular brand of blunt power, incisive lyrical themes, and aural assault are finally unleashed on May 17, 2024. The arrival of one of the most anticipated albums of 2024- and one of the most eagerly awaited metal records ever-finds King beyond stoked. "It's the best feeling I've ever had. There will be some faces punched in," he says. The guitarist quickly addresses the most-asked question: "I think people are going to compare it to Slayer. I'm not afraid of that because I think it stands up to anything we've done in our history, musically, performance-wise." That said, "There will be people complaining, Why does it sound like Slayer?' And 'why doesn't it sound more like Slayer? That's just what people do." Joining the King crusade is a lineup that began with Slayer drummer Paul Bostaph. "Paul's kind of like my [Vinny] Appice to Ronnie James Dio," King says. "I knew Paul wanted to be part of this since 2018. My initial plan was to bring [Gary] Holt, but then I thought I probably shouldn't have any more Slayer pieces, so that went Phil Demmel's way." The band is completed by bassist Kyle Sanders (Hellyeah), and in the much-talked-about vocalist spot, Mark Osegueda (Death Angel), a friend of King's since the early '80s Cali thrash days. The lineup kills. From the instrumental entrée "Diablo" into the relentless, repentless "Where I Reign," to the last cut, the statement-making, full-circle title track "From Hell I Rise," King and co. are in full control. ESP was founded in 2015 by Timothy Moss. The band's concept and music was inspired by Timothy's travels in the Middle East and events in the US. The band's first release, “Call To Arms” was produced by Wyn Davis at Total Access Recording Studios in Redondo Beach, CA . The release on Starwest Entertainment Records was well received and garnered industry interest. After the pandemic it was decided to reconfigure the band with top industry talent for the next release. With help from Wyn Davis and Steve Ornest, Tim “Ripper” Owens (vocals formerly with Judas Priest), Vinny Appice (drums formerly with Axis, Dio, and Black Sabbath) and Jo Jo Brown (guitars) joined Timothy in California to record “Digital Soldiers”. The songs written by Timothy Moss and Jo Jo Brown were greatly enhanced with the addition of Ripper and Vinny. Their professionalism helped take the band to the new level the group was seeking. After the release of “Digital Soldiers” a new touring line up was needed. Sean Salinas, a multi-product endorsed artist (Promark Drumsticks, Evans Drumheads, and Diril Cymbals) and former drummer for two productions with Cirque du Soleil (KA and Zumanity) joined the group. The combination of Sean's incredible drumming with Timothy's bass playing provided the solid foundation. Jo Jo Brown's unique signature playing and writing style was a catalyst and perfect fit for the band. Kris Keyes, formerly with Gargantua Soul and Dive Bomber, joined as lead singer. Kris has appeared with his band on the Rage Against the Machine tour and performed at Woodstock 1999 . At different times these artists have appeared on shows with Korn, Megadeath, and Stone Temple Pilots, to name a few. KILL DEVIL HILL guitarist Mark Zavon and OCTOBER NOIR frontman Tom Noir join us on this week's edition of The Loaded Radio Podcast KILL DEVIL HILL is set to unveil its third album, "Seas Of Oblivion," on September 20th. This LP, meticulously crafted by engineer Chris Collier, who handled production, engineering, mixing, and mastering duties, seamlessly blends classic hard rock with elements of metal. The result is a musical journey that bridges the gap between contemporary and classic metal, reminiscent of iconic bands like SOUNDGARDEN and ALICE IN CHAINS. With "Seas Of Oblivion," KILL DEVIL HILL demonstrates its versatility, fearlessly experimenting with various styles, and pushing the boundaries of expectations to deliver a fresh and exhilarating experience for their devoted fans. Prior to the album's release, KILL DEVIL HILL has already treated fans to a taste of what's to come with the launch of four singles: "Playing With Fire," "Blood In The Water," "You Can't Kill Me California," and "Before The Devil Knows." Formed in 2011 by legendary drummer Vinny Appice (formerly of BLACK SABBATH and DIO) and bassist Rex Brown (PANTERA), KILL DEVIL HILL has undergone a couple of lineup changes, yet continues with a pummeling vengeance. The band's current roster includes Johnny Kelly (formerly of TYPE O NEGATIVE) on drums, Zavon on guitar, Dewey Bragg on vocals, and Matt Snell (formerly of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH) on bass. In the podcast, Mark discusses the evolution of KILL DEVIL HILL, the band's new additions, his love for Wolfgang Van Halen and much more. Hailing from Pensacola, Florida, OCTOBER NOIR emerged onto the music scene in 2016 as a gothic/doom metal ensemble. Since their inception, they have crafted and shared their unique sonic vision through three full-length albums and an impressive collection of nine stand-alone singles. The brainchild of Tom Noir, OCTOBER NOIR was conceived in late 2016, and their inaugural album, "The Haunting and the Powerful," saw the light of day on October 19, 2017. Following the album's release, Tom Noir welcomed talented musicians into the fold for their live performances. Drummer Daniel "Stickz" Bryant, guitarist Troy Lambert, and keyboardist Jackie "Jaxxx" Daniel added depth and energy to the band's live shows. In 2018, OCTOBER NOIR expanded their repertoire by releasing two remarkable singles, both of which were captivating covers. "Pictures of Matchstick Men (RIPeter)," a reinterpretation of the classic by STATUS QUO and TYPE O NEGATIVE, graced listeners' ears on April 14, 2018. Subsequently, on July 5, 2018, they offered their rendition of "Lips like Sugar," originally by ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN, showcasing their versatility and creative prowess. In the second portion of the podcast, Tom discusses the band's influence, the new album "Letters To Existence", his use of torture devices and more. “So I told him about my pain and the life I've been through, he just smiled and the laughter came Then I told him that I love you…and the devil cried.” The early 80's saw a changing of the guard in BLACK SABBATH, with vocalist RONNIE JAMES DIO becoming the new “captain at the helm” as the front man for the legendary Birmingham quartet and bringing along with him a heroic dose of wizards, dragons, clean tigers, shiny diamonds, and more mystical lyrical metaphors than you can shake a sorcerer's scepter at. I'm joined by Buffalo, NY singer Jim Crean. Jim grew up around music. His dad was a drummer and really helped Jim form and appreciate for music. But he was also big into sports, which makes sense for a guy from Buffalo. But once he started playing music, he was all in. He started playing bars at a really young age. He's been putting out music for decades and is a member of the Buffalo Music Hall Of Fame. So when Carmine and Vinny Appice toured with their Drum Wars bands, they did some scouting before each show so they could include local musicians in the show. That's how they found Jim and began working with him on a regular basis. Jim also tells the story of why the brothers each pronounce their last name differently. Jim's new band (and it IS a band) features Vinny Appice and guitarist Steph Honde and it is 100% the product of the pandemic. This band is different for Jim. Even the songwriting used a different approach. They are playing their live debut in January at the heavy metal Hall Of Fame. So check out the new album Kill The Beautiful. Grab a merch bundle while they last. Check them out on Facebook. Check us out @PerformanceAnx on Twitter & Instagram. We're also on YouTube & Facebook. Reach out through all those platforms or at theperformanceanxietypod@gmail.com. Grab our merch at performanceanx.threadless.com or buy us a cup of coffee at ko-fi.com/performanceanxiety. Now prepare to have Jim Crean of Scream Taker take YOUR breath away on Performance Anxiety on the Pantheon Podcast Network.

he fans with his powerful voice and vivid storytelling. It's great to see not only former bandmates like Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler & Vinny Appice sing his praises but to hear from Roger Glover, Rob Halford, Glenn Hughes, Lita Ford, Sebastian Bach, Eddie Trunk and many more about the kind of man and friend he was warmed our hearts. Ronnie wasn't an overnight sensation - he was recording music in the 1950's! But he didn't hit it big with Rainbow until the 70s and success eluded him in American until he eventually replaced Ozzy in Black Sabbath and then went on to form DIO with Vinny Appice, Jimmy Bain & Vivian Campbell.Hear what we thought of the movie, his falling out with Ritchie Blackmore, Tony Iommi, & Vivian Campbell, what he means to us as a singer and his legacy.Ugly American Werewolf in London WebsiteThe RockonteursTwitterInstagramYouTubeLInkTreewww.pantheonpodcasts.comWant to win front row seats to Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets in the US?Enter here to win tickets and a chance to be on a Pantheon Podcast: https://pantheonpodcasts.com/nickmasonWe'll be at the Indianapolis show Friday, October 14, Get tickets here: https://www.thesaucerfulofsecrets.com/

This week is our 8th installment of, “Degrees Of Separation…” where we discuss the more obscure side projects and solo releases from some not-so-obscure artists. This week we pay homage to the rock n' roll rags to riches story that is the metal god-like voice that is Tim “Ripper” Owens. He inspired a major motion picture, not to mention gave opportunities to countless other singers from tribute bands to perhaps be considered as the replacement for the real deals. This guy has some of the most sought-after pipes of the last 25 years. All hear our warning; never turn your back on The Ripper!New to InObscuria? It's all about excavating obscure Rock n' Punk n' Metal from one of 3 categories: the Lost, the Forgotten, or the Should Have Beens.
