After paying dues for over a decade, THE FIFTH are putting the pedal down in an all-out push for higher ground with their debut full-length album from RFK Media “WE ARE ONE,” releasing May 2nd, 2025, on CD and all digital platforms worldwide. This potent collection contains twelve songs that clearly celebrate the band's strengths – strong anthems with blistering guitars and powerful vocals – while weaving classic rock roots with strands of modern melodic hard rock. Fronted by veteran frontman and former MCA recording artist Roy Cathey (Cold Sweat), affectionately known as “The Mouth of The South,” THE FIFTH also includes young guitar hero Justin Womble, bassist Jake Tripp (Gunshine), and drummer Gary “Zeus” Smith. The new album was produced by Chris McLernon (Saigon Kick, Cold Sweat); primary recording took place at Big Animal Studio (home of Shinedown) in Charleston, SC. Rockers everywhere are encouraged to pre-save and pre-order the new album via this link:http://lnk.to/thefifthband- RFK Media is offering bundles and discount options available at http://rfkmedia.com The new single “Blind” will be available as an instant advance download April 4th when you pre-order the album on iTunes. The stellar first single “Starlight” was released last year and supported by an intense full-production music video directed by Jaiden Frost (scroll down to view this epic clip). The release of their new album “WE ARE ONE” coincides with a headline performance at the 2025 M3 Pre-Party in Columbia, Maryland on May 1st, 2025. No strangers to the big stage, THE FIFTH has recently performed on the KISS KRUISE and toured with/opened for Foreigner, Nickelback, Blue Oyster Cult, Sevendust, Breaking Benjamin, Queensryche, Stryper, Kix, Hinder, Tantric and Saliva. They've also headlined countless bike events & festivals stateside and garnered rave reviews for their 2008 tour of Japan. The band's music has appeared in major TV shows such as “Grey's Anatomy,” “The Voice,” and the “2016 Summer Olympics” on NBC. After bearing witness to this relentless drive & perseverance and loving what they'd heard and seen, Ron Keel's team at RKF Media put a bullseye on THE FIFTH and was determined to make them the first act signed to the new multi-media company. “Their energy is infectious,” Keel explains, “and this is exactly the kind of band we can devote our resources to.Take a shot of THE FIFTH online at http://rfkmedia.com/thefifth and join the legion of fans that are truly “the fifth” member of this incredible band.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

Casandra Carson stops by on a tour stop to discuss her latest endeavor, Casandra's Crossing. This is an album that she released on the day the show was recorded with George Lynch. This is a fantastic new album that compliments the work she does with Paralandra very well. Check out the music she has out, catch her on the road, and support musicians by checking out their store with the links below:Listen to Casandra's Crossing: Click HereListen to Paralandra: Click HereCheck out Paralandra on the road: Click HereBuy Paralandra merch: Click HereParalandra Bio:Paralandra hails from Springfield, Missouri, and formed in the summer of 2013 when Casandra Carson and her dad, Paul Carson, began writing songs together to play a one-time event at their local county 4th of July celebration. The response was so positive, and they enjoyed it so much, they decided to continue booking shows and writing songs. They recorded and released a homemade CD titled Rise Up; which sold over 1,000 copies at local shows. Shortly after, friend and local musician, Sawyer Rikard, joined the band on bass guitar in 2015, bringing their stage sound and performance to another level. In March of 2016, they released a follow-up EP, All Fall Down, which debuted #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. They soon began touring and being invited to festivals such as Rocklahoma, SXSW, Rockfest, Dirtfest, Loud in Lima, etc.In 2018, they joined forces with Legend Recordings, and released another EP, Ascension, which became their biggest release yet with singles “Back to Life” and “Killer Queen” landing on the radio. Shortly after, they added local powerhouse drummer (and childhood friend of Sawyer), Dakota Watson, to form the rhythm section Casandra, Paul, and Sawyer had always dreamed of. In 2019, they recorded standalone single “Love Will Win” with producer/videographer, Jake Jones, which gained even more radio play, and placed them on numerous national tours; supporting artists such as Tantric, Saliva, Yngwie Malmsteen, Dokken, and being added to the KISS Kruise and NAMM Show. The band continued to write, record, livestream, and perform wherever they could during the 2020 pandemic, and only continued to gain traction and fans from all over the world. Reaching out on a whim, they won over the attention of renowned producer/songwriter, Elvis Baskette, and shortly thereafter, entered the studio to record their first professionally made, full length album, Street Magic, in 2021. This release proved to be a monumental success, skyrocketing their audience with over 5 million views and streams across all platforms. Radio singles from this release alone include “For the Record”, “Despicable”, “Repeat Offender”, “Can't Quench the Fire”, and “Only Human”.Paralandra has since toured the country on multiple headlining runs, and is constantly supporting iconic bands such as Warrant, Lita Ford, Firehouse, Last in Line, and countless others with no end in sight. They reentered the studio with Elvis Baskette in 2023 and recorded their 2nd studio album, which is due April 4, 2024. They plan for this release to be just as big, if not bigger than the last, as they continue to record, write, tour, and work tirelessly to build their brand, and change the direction of rock music to be a force for good in this world.

This week we feature fellow music podcasters that not only have the gift of gab but are also talented and creative musicians. Many of us who get on the mic every week either are or were, also in bands playing the music that we love talking about. We thought it would be fun to not only play some songs from podcasters that we know but to also get their insights around the tunes we selected. So open your ear holes and let your brain experience the invasion of podcasters! What is it we do here at InObscuria? Every show Kevin opens the crypt to exhume and dissect from his personal collection; an artist, album, or collection of tunes from the broad spectrum of rock, punk, and metal. It's a pure passion play, which is why we all end up talking about music, having heated debates, and wild lunatic-ish rants about things as silly as what gauge strings the rhythm guitarist is using on a particular section of a song. So this week we give you podcasters that rock!Songs this week include:1. Crunchy – “Fake” from Clown School Dropout (2003) http://www.montycolvinart.com/2. Dome – “Descend” from We Are Machine (2017) https://domewpg.bandcamp.com/album/we-are-machine3. The Mean Reds – “Black Sadie” from Dog And Pony Show (1994) The Mean Reds – Dog & Pony Show CD4. Staring with is early days Canada honing his craft on bass and guitar and developing his killer pipes Todd saw the rock and roll bat-signal if you will at an early age. Stating out in some of his early bands like Age of Electric in 1989 with their debate album Make a Pest a Pet! Various other project would come, but in 2007 he would help form The Sin City Sinners. It would't be long until Slash from Guns N' Roses would come knocking and Todd would find himself in one of the hottest acts in the world in Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators releasing four studio albums. in 2017 another guitarist would be at Todd's door in the form of Bruce Kulick formerly of KISS. Joey and I were on the Jericho Cruise and we ran in to PRISS! So we sat down with them and had a talk. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND we are on a cruise ship so it can be a little noisy at times. We just hit record and talked. Also I say we are on the KISS KRUISE...That's MY BAD...
Canadian bassist and vocalist Todd Kerns (Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators) stopped by to talk about his new band, Heroes and Monsters! The trio consists of Kerns, guitarist Stef Burns (Huey Lewis & the News, Sheila E., Berlin, Alice Cooper, Y&T, etc.), and drummer Will Hunt (Evanescence, Dark New Day, Black Label Society, Staind, Slaughter, etc.). Their self-titled debut album drops Jan. 20 and features 10 tracks of excellent and varied hard rock. Heroes and Monsters makes quite an opening statement with this record and I got a little of the background on the project from Todd, who also discussed his musical influences, but we also devolved a bit into a discussion of KISS, a band we're both passionate about (Todd has played with Bruce Kulick's band on the KISS Kruise in recent years). Find out more about Todd's work at ToddKerns.com. This week Tom & Zeus breakdown their remaining trip on KISS Kruise XI. The Kruise had one more stop in Ensenada, Mexico and many more shows, including the KISS indoor show. Part two of the trip focuses on the KISS indoor show, Bruce Kulick's band, Black Label Society, Buckcherry, Stryper, Vixen, Sisters Doll, Plush, L.A. Maybe, Black Sabbitch, Richie Kotzen and more. The guys continued to see and hear some great music, the KISS Karaoke, notwithstanding. The guys give the inside track of what really happened on KISS Kruise XI as only SIOL can.
