Welcome to the Royals Roundup! This new feature on Royals content will arrive in a podcast format as we dive into the personalities of our organization on a bi-weekly setting. Heisinger was hired by the Royals at the end of July as he joined the team following six seasons with the Winnipeg/Kootenay Ice organization. During our conversation, we chatted about his upbringing in Winnipeg, playing junior hockey for his hometown MJHL team, moving onto playing collegiate hockey with Curry College and his transition into hockey operations.     Heisinger will have a primary focus on scouting and player development; a role he is very familiar with, having been an integral part of the group in Winnipeg that scouted first-round NHL Draft Picks such as Connor Geekie, Matthew Savoie, Carson Lambos, and Zach Benson.
