The Red Wings success this seaosn largely depended on Ville Husso's success, as he kept Detroit from falling out of the contention for 3 months with his stellar play, before he ultimatley began to falter. Pius Suter began the year as an odd man out but finished the year as the best defensive forward the Red Wings have. Elmer Soderblom shocked everyone by starting the year with Detroit, but ultimatley proved not NHL ready. #lgrw Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…

Alex Nedeljkovic's season was dissapointing, mired with several AHL stints and poor numbers. Adam Erne gave us exactly what we expected -- Adam Erne. #lgrw Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…
Jake Walman entered the season injured, with our expectations topping out at middle-pair defensman. He ended the season a bonafide top-pair D-man with a new 3-year extension. Does Walman earn the highest honors? We were hoping to see Joe Veleno take steps forward this year, instead we saw a him struggle as 4C. Alex Chiasson didn't even have an NHL contract until post-deadline, and he turned into a PP specialist. #lgrw Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…

Those 3 goals carrier him across the 30 goal threshold, and has set a new career high in points! He is back to above a point per game. Marco Kasper also made his NHL debut and immediatley made his presence felt bringing toughness and a physical edge to the game. Simon Edvinsson was without a doubt the best player on the ice for the Detroit Red Wings again, making big plays offensivley, defensivley, and getting rewarded with a goal (eventually) early. But it wasn't enough as Detroit's sloppy second and poor goaltending cost them a 2-0 lead and 4 unanswered, resulting in Magnus Hellberg being pulled for Alex Nedeljkovic. Alex Chiasson scored again, this time with the goalie pulled, but thats all the they could muster. Flyers Saturday. #lgrw Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…
