La baisse de fréquentation dans les salles a provoqué un déficit de plusieurs milliers d'euros pour la structure de Rothau. Depuis début 2025, les entrées ont chuté de 20 à 25%. Il aurait manqué 1 500 spectateurs pour finir son année sereinement.Faits divers. On vous parlait hier du début du procès de trois hommes à la cour d'assise du Haut-Rhin. Le principal accusé était suspecté de vol avec violences ayant entraîné la mort. On lui reproche d'avoir égorgé une femme de 70 ans, le 5 juin 2022, dans une résidence séniors de Mulhouse. Le procès a finalement été renvoyé au 28 septembre. L'accusé, âgé de 38 ans, souffre d'un cancer de la gorge et a l'impossibilité de s'exprimer clairement. L'une d'elle est portée par Damien Schmitt. Âgé de 42 ans, ce viticulteur brigue ici une première expérience dans la vie politique castinétaine. « Si je suis un nouveau venu en politique, je ne suis pas un visage inconnu des gens de Châtenois », explique le candidat, mettant en avant son engagement associatif. A la tête de la liste « Redessinons Châtenois avec vous », Damien Schmitt souhaite « proposer un choix alternatif ». Parmi ses propositions, le candidat compte notamment moderniser les infrastructures existantes, redynamiser la rue principale, végétaliser la commune, ou encore renforcer la sécurité, en rallumant l'éclairage public de nuit. Damien Schmitt propose une liste sans étiquette, composée de « personnes de tous quartiers, de tous âges et de toutes professions ». Deux anciens adjoints et quatre conseillers municipaux y figurent notamment. « Nous avons une liste d'expérience. Une liste prête à travailler pour Châtenois et ses habitants », précise Damien Schmitt. Élu au conseil municipal de Châtenois depuis 18 ans et adjoint au maire depuis deux mandats, ce coiffeur de 56 ans briguera les 15 et 22 mars prochains le poste de maire. « Je connais parfaitement la réalité du terrain, le fonctionnement au quotidien de Châtenois et les enjeux de notre territoire », appuie le candidat tête de liste de « Châtenois, du cœur et de l'action ». Dans cette campagne, ses propositions seront notamment marquées par « la continuité ». « Nous avons déjà plein de projets en cours pour la commune », rappelle Stéphane Sigrist. Parmi les points de son programme se retrouvent également l'urbanisation de l'ancienne RN59, l'agrandissement de l'Espace Les Tisserands, l'étude d'une zone de baignade au Giessen, ou encore le développement du tourisme.
