Jameson Doud was nearing his 8th birthday in August of 2024 when he was diagnosed with a Midline High Grade Glioma Pediatric Brain Cancer. In March of 2025 the Doud family got very good news that there were no signs of any cancer from the most recent scans but just a couple of months later, Jameson's scans showed that his cancer had spread to his bone and Jameson was not expected to last until Christmas of 2025. That expectation went too far unfortunately and James on passed away from this disease on August 12th of 2025.

Hour 2: The Rafael Devers trade, one year later, has been a major disappointment for the San Francisco Giants. The team's struggles on the field have been well-documented, but what's behind the decline of the once-promising star player? In this episode, we dive into the numbers and the narrative surrounding Devers' disappointing season, and explore what the future might hold for the Giants and their star player. The Giants' acquisition of Devers was seen as a major coup at the time, but a year later, the team is 69-93 with Devers on board. The numbers just don't add up, and the team's struggles on the field have been a major talking point. But is it all on Devers, or are there other factors at play? We explore the analytics and the narrative surrounding Devers' decline, and discuss what the Giants might do next. The conversation also touches on the Giants' overall struggles, including their lack of pitching prospects and the team's decision not to address the bullpen in the offseason. We also discuss the potential trade deadline moves, including the possibility of trading Devers or other big-name players. URSULA'S TOP STORIES // GUEST: Dr. Peter Rabinowitz, UW Pandemic Preparedness Center on the threat (or lack thereof) from hantavirus // Should you “look your age”?
It's Friday, May 1st, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus United Nations urges Pakistan to ban forced conversions and marriages On April 22nd, a United Nations-appointed body urged Pakistan to intensify efforts to eradicate Islamic forced conversions and marriages, noting that young Christian girls consistently fall victim to Islamist coercion, reports MorningStarNews.org. To prevent forced conversions and marriages, Pakistan was urged to raise the minimum age of marriage to 18 across all territories, criminalize forced religious conversion, and enforce laws related to human trafficking and sexual violence. Isaiah 59:7 says, “Their feet run to evil. … They pursue evil schemes; acts of violence mark their ways.” Hegseth to Democrat: “Your hatred for President Trump blinds you.” War Secretary Pete Hegseth delivered a blistering rebuke to Democratic Rep. John Garamendi of California, slamming the congressman for labeling the conflict in Iran a "quagmire" during a heated exchange, reports the New York Post. HEGSETH: "When I said reckless, feckless, and defeatist of congressional Democrats at the beginning that came after watching you say the same thing on CNN this morning: ‘a quagmire.' “My generation served in a ‘quagmire' in Iraq and Afghanistan. Years and years of nebulous missions and utopian nation-building that led us to nothing. “The way you stain the troops when you tell them two months in, Congressman, you should know better. Shame on you! Calling this a quagmire two months in. The effort, what they've undertaken, the success on the battlefield that creates strategic opportunities. The courage of a president to confront a nuclear Iran. And you call it a quagmire, handing propaganda to our enemies. “Shame on you for that statement and statements like that are reckless to our troops. Don't say, ‘I support the troops.' on one hand, and then, a two-month mission is a ‘quagmire.' Who are you cheering for here? Who you pulling for? “Our troops are doing incredible work. They've done incredible things for the entirety of this mission and achieved incredible battlefield successes. And you sit there, and go on TV for your click bait, about ‘quagmires.' It undermines the mission. “Your hatred for President Trump blinds you to the truth of the success of this mission and the historic stakes that the President is addressing which the American people support.” GOP Congressman to pro-abort: “What's your favorite form of abortion?” On April 21st, a judiciary hearing in the House of Representatives grew tense when Republican Congressman Brandon Gill of Texas pressed American University scholar Jessica Waters in graphic detail on which abortion procedure she would list as her favorite, reported FoxNews. Listen. GILL: “You're an advocate for abortion, for abortion policy. What's your favorite type of abortion?” WATERS: “I am an advocate for patients having access to the full realm of reproductive health care.” GILL: “But do you have a preferred method of abortion that you like?” WATERS: “I do not.” GILL: “Let me read through a couple different methods, and I want to get your take on how much you like these. The first type is called a suction abortion. This is when the cervix is dilated and a strong suction, 29 times the power of a household vacuum cleaner, tears the baby's body apart and sucks it through the hose into a container. Do you prefer that method?” WATERS: “I stand by my former testimony.” GILL: “That sounds kind of gross, doesn't it? It sounds pretty gruesome. Do you agree? It does to me.” WATERS: “I stand by, um, how I answered your question fully and accurately.” GILL: “Okay. What about this one? This one is called dilation and curettage. After dilation of the cervix, a sharp, looped knife is inserted into the uterus. The baby's body is cut into pieces and extracted, often by suction. Do you prefer that method?” WATERS: “What I believe we are here to talk about today is the [Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances] Act. We are not here to talk about the legality of …” GILL: “You're a pro-abortion advocate. I'm asking if you prefer the dilation and curettage method.” WATERS: “I am access to reproductive health care advocate.” GILL: “You don't want to talk about abortion itself. Why is that?” WATERS: “I would prefer to talk about the reason that the committee called the hearing.” GILL: “Is it because it's uncomfortable to talk about? It should be uncomfortable.” WATERS: “I would prefer, if you would let me finish my statement, to talk about Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, which is what I was asked to talk about.” GILL: “We're talking about what that access gets. How about this one? It's called dilation and evacuation. Forceps are inserted into the uterus, grabbing and twisting the baby's body to dismember him or her. If the head is too large, it must be crushed in order to remove it. Do you prefer that method?” WATERS: “I would prefer to talk about the reason the hearing was called and the basis of my expert testimony.” GILL: “It's uncomfortable to hear this, isn't it? I think it is because it's barbaric and evil.” WATERS: “I would prefer to talk about the subject of the hearing.” GILL: “This is the subject of the hearing. This is about protests outside of abortion clinics. I'm asking you about abortion.” WATERS: “I stand by my prior testimony.” GILL: “I wouldn't want to talk about this either if I were you, because it is barbaric and evil.” Proverbs 31:8 says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” To thank Texas Republican Congressman Brandon Gill for his unapologetic description of the evil of abortion, send him a two-sentence thank you note to Rep. Brandon Gill, 600 Parker Square, Suite 205, Flower Mound, Texas 75028. Or call his D.C. office at (202) 225-7772. Maine Governor, a liberal Republican, drops out of Senate race And finally, liberal Republican Governor Janet Mills has suspended her candidacy for the U.S. Senate. She announced, "I very simply do not have the one thing that political campaigns unfortunately require today: the financial resources." A year ago, in the midst of the debate over men in women's sports and locker rooms, President Trump predicted the political demise of Governor Mills, to her face, at the White House. Listen. TRUMP: “Two weeks ago, I signed an executive order banning men from playing in women's sports. Many Democrats are fighting me on that. I hope you continue, because you'll never win another race. The NCAA has complied immediately, by the way. That's good. But I understand Maine … Is Maine here? The governor of Maine? Are you not going to comply with it?” MILLS: “I'm complying with state and federal laws.” TRUMP: “We are the federal law. Well, you better do it. You better do it, because you're not going to get any federal funding at all if you don't. “And by the way, your population, even though it's somewhat liberal, although I did very well there, your population doesn't want men playing in women's sports. So, you better, you better comply, because otherwise you're not getting any, any federal funding. MILLS: “See you in court.” TRUMP: “Good. I'll see you in court. I look forward to that. That should be a real easy one. And enjoy your life after Governor, because I don't think you'll be in elected politics.” That leaves Graham Platner, a controversial candidate, as the Democrat front runner in the upcoming June 9th primary. He's been endorsed by Senate leftists Bernie Sanders of Vermont, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Ruben Gallego of Arizona, and Martin Heinrich of New Mexico. While GOP incumbent Senator Susan Collins of Maine has a Republican challenger in the June primary, she's likely to win and then run for a sixth term in the November general election. ONE YEAR AFTER THE FIRE: NEBRASKA RANCHERS FIGHT BACK AND REBUILD In this powerful episode of Trent on the Loos, Trent Loos returns to the exact location he visited one year ago following the devastating Nebraska wildfires. What he finds is a story of resilience, recovery, and determination. The land, once scorched and lifeless, is beginning to heal—proving the strength of nature and the grit of the people who depend on it. Trent sits down with Nebraska rancher Matt Blackford to get a firsthand look at the progress. Together, they break down how the land is recovering, what challenges still remain, and how ranchers are working tirelessly to rebuild their operations. From regrowth on the prairie to the emotional and financial toll of the fires, this episode delivers a hard-hitting look at the reality of rural America. This is more than a comeback story—it's a testament to the unwavering spirit of ranchers who refuse to quit, no matter the odds.

A year ago today, Alex Ovechkin made history by scoring his 895th career goal, becoming the NHL's all-time leading goal scorer—a milestone Chris Russell takes time to reflect on, revisiting the significance of the moment and what it meant for the game and the Washington Capitals franchise. The tone quickly shifts to the present, however, as Russell contrasts that historic high with a brutal 8–1 loss to the New York Rangers, joking that the Capitals could've used “a goal or eight” from Ovechkin in a performance that highlighted the team's current struggles. With the season slipping away and playoff hopes fading, Russell discusses the disappointing trajectory of the team and raises the very real possibility that the organization could soon be facing an emotional turning point—potentially even an Ovechkin retirement announcement—as the franchise looks ahead to an uncertain future.

Tonight's guest, Stan, had his first Bigfoot sighting a year ago, almost to the day. You see, on March 1st, 2025, one of Stan's friends, Ed, who is a member of the B.F.R.O, called Stan and asked him if he'd like to go out looking for Bigfoot. Stan said, “sure,” so his friend took him out to a reservoir close to Stan's home, in Oregon, that has Bureau of Land Management land around it. After they made it to the reservoir, they drove the mountain roads in that area. The two men were drinking iced tea as they drove up and down the roads, so eventually, Stan wound up needing to relieve himself, so he asked his friend to pull over. The decision to get out for that nature call was the genesis of what became an obsession for Stan when it comes to investigating Sasquatch. Here we are, one year later, and he's had 5 sightings and numerous other experiences with them. We hope you'll tune in and listen to him share some of those experiences. If you've had a Bigfoot sighting and would like to be a guest, on the show, please go to https://MyBigfootSighting.com and let us know. WarRoom Battleground EP 810: One Year Ago Today The Release OF Peter Navarro
One year ago in Butler, Pennsylvania, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks was able to get onto a nearby roof and take shots at Donald Trump. In the aftermath many wondered — who was this man who shot the presidential candidate, and how was he allowed to get so close to killing him? Host Colby Itkowitz speaks with investigative reporter Carol Leonnig about the mystifying search for a motive and what she and others have concluded about what went wrong that day, one year later. Today's show was produced by Sabby Robinson. It was edited by Maggie Penman and mixed by Rennie Svirnovsky. If you want to learn more about how the shooting in Butler changed Trump, our colleague Isaac Arnsdorf was on “Post Reports” on Friday to talk about that. His new book is “2024: How Trump Retook the White House and the Democrats Lost America.”Subscribe to The Washington Post here.
