Minnesota Wild owner Craig Leipold returns to Wild on 7th for some laughs, some brainstorming, and some insider info about all things Wild. Carts and King talk about Craig's recent appearance in The Hockey News, his take on the Hard trophy, what he thinks about Kirill, the injury list, and what the future looks like in Saint Paul. Get your Fiji waters on ice for this one, because Craig is bringing the heat, and surprise surprise, owning a winning team is fun.
On today's episode of Locked on Wild, we discuss further fallout from Dean Evason being fired by the Wild. We look at why this is being done by Bill Guerin to prove to Craig Leipold that his roster is still effective, when in reality the roster was constructed based off of a 2021-22 season that was never likely to be replicated. We discuss the philosophies John Hynes brings to Minnesota, and why a new look at the defense and Special Teams isn't going to fix an offense that is struggling and doesn't have enough speed and skill to consistently drive play. We look at tonight's opponent, the St. Louis Blues, and what we should hope to see from the Wild tonight.Subscribe to our YouTube Channel: Locked On WildFollow/Subscribe Anywhere: linktr.ee/LockedOnWildFollow Locked On NHL: linktr.ee/lockedonNHLSupport Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!eBay Motors - With all the parts you need at the prices you want, it's easy to turn your car into the MVP and bring home that win. Introduction: Host Michael Rand takes note of Wild owner Craig Leipold's comments Wednesday on Ryan Suter and Zach Parise plus the Kirill Kaprizov signing. On both fronts, it was a good dose of honesty from the Wild owner. Leipold said he would do the Parise and Suter signings again "in an absolute second" and said he was convinced Kaprizov would sign. 6:00: Star Tribune columnist La Velle E. Neal III joins the show to talk about some interesting Twins news about reassigning their hitting coach and his plan to put Jorge Polanco back at shortstop in 2022 (which has Rand's support as well). Plus Neal and Rand revisit the predictions they made about individual performances for Twins players six months ago to see who fared better. Let's just say La Velle did better than Rand -- and the Twins. 21:00: Four things about Phil Miller's season-ending Twins roster breakdown caught Rand's eye. 25:00: Some love for the Wild Card format, something MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred actually got right. And Rand answers a couple of your burning questions about music.

The Minnesota Wild chose another rookie in Bill Guerin to fill their general manager’s chair less than a month after firing Paul Fenton, who lasted in the job just 14 months as a first-time GM. Guerin ticked off many boxes for Wild owner Craig Leipold, whose team plays in the rabid U.S. ‘State of Hockey.’ But Guerin apparently wasn’t even a finalist, if he really interviewed at all, for the Edmonton Oilers job that went to Ken Holland in early May. Hockey Hall of Fame writer Jim Matheson and host Craig Ellingson talk about Guerin, the one-time Oilers power forward, and why he suits an NHL GM position.
7/30/19 Hour 1 Paul Fenton was fired after a year in charge and now Craig Leipold is crowned as the worst owner in town. EPIC Judd rant! The Mets asked for Byron Buxton... WTF?! Ramie disowned a friend.

2nd Aug 2019 – This week Dan and Will talk about Last Chance U and young hockey players meeting the same fate. Bounce Around the world in India. Not Hockey news featuring weather. Close but not quite with another Aho. No not that one. Then onto the news. We discuss the amazing house of Kessel and how he lives like damn near every rich single man would. Chris Kunitz (who Will doesn’t like) retires. Alex Muerelo is the new owner of the Coyotes and seemingly has fingers in every pie in the world. Panarin does the crazy thing and slams Putin. Dan isnt entirely sure its legit though. Paul Fenton leaving the Wild causes Dan to tell a story about poop whereas Will believes Craig Leipold is actually poop. We called the Chiarelli news before it broke. Speaking of poop Lucic and Neal do a swapsie. Dan loses his mind over the Rangers paying Trouba 8 MILLION DOLLARS. The Rangers also buy out Kevin Shattenkirk. Vasilevskiy gets paid. Some would say way too much. Those people are me and Will. Gusev goes to the Devils which is fine for a guy who can’t skate. The Leafs have found a way to juke the CBA with LTIR and the Sens are truly taking the piss now. Sandwich or a butty and other bits. Please rate review and subscribe.
