On the last day of the season yesterday I shared a boat with David Hoppe at Grafham Water. David has had much success over the years on the competition scene but he also has another passion..... Zander. I have yet to catch one so thought who better to get me into one but David. It wasn't the ideal conditions to say the least but we braved the elements but unfortunately it wasn't to be but I took the opportunity to record this chat with him from the boat to discuss his methods and tactics which brings him success and gives a taste to those wanting to give it a try. He also talks of his break from the competition scene, but says he will return again someday.

Tomorrow's highly anticipated Jan. 6th hearing is expected to focus on Trump's 187 minutes of inaction as his supporters stormed the Capitol. New reporting shows a watchdog agency learned the Secret Service had purged nearly all texts from the Jan. 6th back in February, but chose not to alert Congress. Plus, eight prominent conservatives released a new report examining and refuting every single claim of election fraud in the 2020 election. Geoff Bennett, Kyle Cheney, Harry Litman, David Hoppe, Former Sen. Al Franken, and Matthew Dowd join.

The Jan. 6 committee investigating the Capitol insurrection is not the only body battling the Big Lie perpetuated by Donald Trump and his allies. A prominent group of conservatives issued a detailed report on Thursday showing that there is "absolutely no evidence of widespread fraud" in the 2020 election. The question remains: will their conservative peers finally listen? David Hoppe, former chief of staff for Speaker Paul Ryan, and one of the authors of the aforementioned report, and Abdallah Fayyad, opinion writer for The Boston Globe, join Joy Reid to discuss. Plus, Democrats were accused of lying about a 10-year-old pregnant rape victim. Now that the horrible story is confirmed, we discuss what it tells us about the terrifying future of reproductive rights in America. Finally, another generation of young Americans is saying -- loud and clear -- pass that torch to us. Joy Reid and her panel analyze the large age gap between many Democratic leaders and young voters, and what can be done to bridge the gap. All this and more in this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.
