Radical Purge! – Interview With Don Hutchinson Part Two Radical Purge! – Interview With Don Hutchinson Part Two Beat the censors, sign-up for our newsletter: https://firstfreedoms.ca/call_to_action_pages/stay_informed/ Dr. Don Hutchinson, Principal at Ansero Services, shares with Barry the federal government's continued discrimination against Christian charities who do not share the government's ideological commitments. The governments “Community Services Recovery Fund” is only open to those groups that are willing to agree with government's views on such matters as abortion. Yet again the Trudeau government is demanding ideological conformity. The second part of this interview considers the purge that has gone on in the Liberal Party in recent years. Many talented, experienced politicians have been purged from the Liberal Party to make room for a more radical element that is upending basic understandings of how government ought to be run. Dr. Hutchinson shares with Barry the latest in the ongoing government campaign against pro-life Christian charities. This is part two of a two-part interview. Yet again the Trudeau government is demanding ideological conformity. The Canada Summer Jobs issue in 2018 got a lot of attention for the same government interference in freedom of religion and conscience. The government has not changed. And, with this new program the government's heavy hand is seen yet again. Dr. Hutchinson shares with Barry the latest in the ongoing government campaign against pro-life Christian charities. In response to media reports, Freedom Feature guests Davina Peters and Nadine Ness offer their personal accounts of the situation in Ottawa. Their impressions differ drastically from the narrative given in the mainstream media or by certain politicians. Nadine cautions against “underestimating the Canadian people and their thirst for freedom” and expresses her hope for change. To see more from Unified Grassroots, visit www.unifiedgrassroots.com or join their Facebook group. Lawyer and Ottawa resident Don Hutchinson (donhutchinson.ca) returns to Freedom Feature to discuss his perspective, including the federal government's responsibility to address the crisis. This includes articulating a clear pathway towards lifting mandates, as recommended by Canada's chief public health officer Dr. Tam. He makes a personal appeal for the Prime Minister to begin negotiations to end the blockade so that Ottawa and the country can get back to normal. – – – Please note the views expressed by the individual(s) in this video are their own, and do not necessarily reflect the views or principles of the First Freedoms Foundation.
Don Hutchinson, a Canadian legal expert and former legal council for the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada, describes the implications of the new conversion therapy ban on Canadians and Christians. He explains that one way the church can rebuild is to respond to these kind of legal attacks by focusing on our biblical mandate to love God, each other, and our neighbors.
Why is Canada's new Conversion Therapy Bill so problematic? Listen as Barry discusses concerns around Bill C-4 with Dr. Don Hutchinson and Dr. Iain Provan. Bill C-4, An Act to Amend the Criminal Code (Conversion Therapy), went through the Parliament of Canada in record time. There was unanimous consent in the House and the Senate. Part of the rationale was that the bill had already been passed just before the 2021 election but died on the order paper when the election was called. However, guests Dr. Don Hutchinson and Dr. Iain Provan explain that Bill C-4 was very different. It expanded criminality significantly from the previous version. The government's own characterization of the limited nature of the bill is questionable. Further, the lack of opposition over this fact, and the complete disregard of parliamentary procedure, are cause for concern of the rule of law in Canada. – – – Please note the views expressed by the individual(s) in this video are their own, and do not necessarily reflect the views or principles of the First Freedoms Foundation.

This is Music and Poetry episode 9 - Ergodontics. "Ergodontics" is a word coined by Don Hutchinson. The notion of "Ergodontic work" came about as an attempt in trying to describe work that a person does with genuine interest. "Ergo" relates to the production and the relation of the person to the work. "Dontic," which means gifts, seemed to compose the qualities of respect for the work, care, knowledge, interest, and responsibility. As workers, we often proceed with interest, but with no clear idea of what we are doing, how to do it, or why. A work process that is not interesting may include systematic distortions that have gained legitimacy. But Ergodontic work, or work that has the workers genuinely interested in the process, seems to be the goal for us all - not only from the management/leadership side of the equation, but also from the prospective of the worker. I hope you enjoy the poem and the music! -SH
