Mat Smith and Kyle Reese open today’s show avoiding all the unpleasantness from the sports weekend in Denver Sports by talking about The Masters before diving into the 7-0 debacle at Ball Arena yesterday. They lighten the mood by celebrating the DU Pioneers’ record breaking 10th national championship title, possibly looking at a future Avs goaltender. They close out the hour completing the bad news sandwich, venting about the Nuggets choking away the 1 seed to the Spurs and what that means for the Nuggets’ title defense.
Brandon Stokley and Mat Smith open the show with a rant about the tough western conference in the NBA and the Nuggets’ place in it. They chop it up about Easter before discussing a tale of two Nuggets games over the holiday weekend. The Avs also had a big game this weekend with a big comeback, but that means they’re still falling behind, are you worried about the Avs’ slow starts? The guys go back to college, talking about the CU Women’s faceoff with Caitlin Clark, the DU Pioneers’ tough game in Springfield, and the Final Four. They close out the hour talking about the Rockies’ poor opening weekend and ranting about their issues with a certain expensive malcontent.

The Avs have been rolling since the trade deadline but there’s still been some issues, what are some of Mat and Kyle’s concerns with the team going into the playoffs? They guys give a shout out to the DU Pioneers before they give Caitlin Clark her flowers after blowing the CU Women’s team out of the water. Stoke had the idea that maybe the Broncos have been throwing out a smoke screen with J.J. McCarthy when they’ve been all in on Nix the entire time.
