Other teams are having issues with player extensions and others asking to be traded. The Broncos seem to be doing things the right way, but why are other franchises struggling so much? Arnold Schwarzenegger plays the killer robot (technically an android but called a cyborg) Terminator sent from the future to eliminate Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor but followed by scrappy future soldier Kyle Reese, played by Michael Biehn, and you know the deal having seen T2 (1991); this first film is when Connor gets preggers and has awesome 80's style and learns of the future badass she must, and does, become.  Future fellow Cameron android player Lance Henriksen plays a cop, who may or may not die in the film, when Schwarzenegger's T-800 delivers on his iconic promise to the precinct's desk officer that he will return. (Schwarzenegger, as we learn this episode, did not want to deliver Cameron's line as written as the English word “I'll” was difficult for the bodybuilding immigrant.)  The hosts this week (no Jack, no special guest Shannon) speculate on Cameron's CB sexy talk when he was a truck driver, discover where Jack got his fashion sense, and express awe as how stripped down and fast-paced the story is. Ken fondly remembers the short-lived TV series Manimal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manimal), Ryan reveals the film to secretly be an 80's slasher, and Thomas, bummed, reacts with atemporal microaggression by introducing earlier into the pod the concept of Roko's basilisk (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roko%27s_basilisk but don't click!). A least one Cameron shows up while a confused former prime minister of England makes a brief off-mic appearance. The Broncos ranked at four and five with the hirings of Josh McDaniels and Nathaniel Hackett respectively. Which coaching hire was worse looking at how everything played out. Do we not give enough credit to the job Elway and company did on the path to Superbowl 50? Is the leadership over with the Broncos finally in a position where you can say this team is a true contender?

In hour 4 Kyle Reese and Marcello Romano question whether NBA and the WNBA have some common ground.  The trip down memory lane continues as more names and what could have been are brought up.  Is College Football the true minor league for the NFL?  Someone needs to slow down.

Jai Courtney's breakthrough came with the role of Varro in the Starz historical drama series "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" and he quickly followed that up with roles in Tom Cruise's "Jack Reacher" and Jack McClane Jr., in "A Good Day to Die Hard" with Bruce Willis. He played Eric Coulter in the "Divergent" film series (2014-2016) and portrayed Kyle Reese in "Terminator Genisys" (2015), and in Stuart Gatt's Catching Dust. One of his most recognizable roles came in 2016 when he joined the DC Extended Universe as Captain Boomerang in David Ayer's "Suicide Squad," a role he reprised with critical acclaim in James Gunn's "The Suicide Squad" (2021). Sean Byrne first gained international acclaim with his 2009 debut feature, "The Loved Ones." The darkly comedic horror film captivated audiences and critics alike, winning the People's Choice Award in the Midnight Madness category at the Toronto International Film Festival. I just rewatched the first Terminator film, and it still holds up as a strong cinematic experience. Even after all these years, the film's gritty nature and tight storytelling make it feel as fresh as ever. I drove across state lines just to see it on the big screen again, and it was worth every mile. The film is nearly perfect in its execution, and while some may point out its 80s aesthetic, it's the emotional depth and character development that truly resonate. The way Kyle Reese explains the future war is a masterclass in exposition, keeping the audience engaged while delivering crucial plot details.  The debate between Terminator 1 and Terminator 2 is ongoing, but for me, T1 remains my favorite. It's Arnold Schwarzenegger's best villain role, and the film's pacing is impeccable. I also appreciate how the film manages to convey a sense of urgency and tension throughout. The re-released 4K version has received mixed reviews, but I believe it enhances the viewing experience, making the film even more visually striking.  As I reflect on the emotional impact of these films, I can't help but think about the scenes that have left a lasting impression on me. The moment when Sarah Connor realizes her humanity while facing the potential for violence is incredibly powerful. It's a reminder of the film's core message about the value of human life amidst chaos.  In conclusion, revisiting the Terminator films is not just about nostalgia; it's about recognizing their significance in cinematic history. They continue to influence filmmakers and audiences alike, and I encourage everyone to experience them again.
