Para compreender os reflexos dessa decisão na economia local, o professor e doutor Júlio César Zilli, pesquisador e líder do Laboratório Gestão e Estratégia em Negócios Internacionais da Unesc, concedeu entrevista ao Cruz de Malta Notícias nesta sexta-feira (8). O convidado do JR ENTREVISTA desta quarta-feira (23) é o prefeito de Uberlância (MG), Paulo César Ferreira. À jornalista Vanessa Lima, ele comenta sobre os impactos do tarifaço imposto por Donald Trump a produtos brasileiros, a importância das emendas parlamentares para o município e os desafios do governo nos primeiros seis meses de mandato. Eleito no primeiro turno com 52% dos votos, Paulo César ressalta que Uberlândia é um importante polo econômico, com destaque para o agronegócio e o setor industrial. Por esse motivo, o município, cujo PIB é o 27º maior do país, pode ser bastante prejudicado pela taxação imposta pelo presidente dos Estados Unidos, Donald Trump. A tarifa, de 50%, está marcada para entrar em vigor em 1º de agosto. “Estamos muito preocupados com o tarifaço e esperamos que o governo federal acerte os ponteiros com o governo americano rapidamente”, declara.Na entrevista, o gestor conta que o município recebe recursos de deputados estaduais e federais — as emendas parlamentares —, destinados principalmente a serviços de saúde. “[Um corte nas emendas] pode afetar muito as principais cidades brasileiras. Não estou vendo cor partidária. O que queremos é o benefício da nossa população e, por isso, estamos sempre em Brasília buscando recursos”, conta. A saúde, aliás, é um dos desafios do prefeito. Segundo ele, 37% do orçamento de Uberlândia são destinados à área. “O município é um polo regional de saúde, cuidamos de várias cidades da região.
