On this episode of Ford News, Johnathan and Brian start the show by discussing the Tate brothers coming to the United States. Why are these two disgusting individuals scumbags? Why do the "bros" worship them? Why does Donald Trump embrace "Alpha Males?" All of these questions are things we ponder. In segment two, we talk about Texas Congressman Al Green (D), who stood up and shouted at President Donald Trump during last week's speech to a joint session of Congress. Green was censured in a move that can only be termed as hypocritical after the Boopsie Twins' MTG and Lauren Boebert acted like idiots over the last few years during Biden's SOTU addresses. Segment three brings us to the "Ford Fact Check," where Johnathan takes a stab at fact-checking the president's speech to Congress. One segment probably didn't give him enough time to do this, but he tried! SEASON 3 EPISODE 106: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:45) SPECIAL COMMENT: Hidden behind Trump’s complex multi-layered endless hallucination that his address to Congress shows he is beloved and the stock market isn’t crashing and Speaker Johnson’s Chief of Staff WASN’T arrested on a DUI right after the speech and the MAGGOTS aren’t furious at him and the newest polling doesn’t suggest he’s already lost nearly a fifth of the Trump Bros under 30… there is a much more real and much starker truth: he has already moving to make NOT LOVING HIM… illegal. The attempt is underway to make PROTESTING THE TRUMP DICTATORSHIP against the law. Early Tuesday, Trump posted what seemed like a warning against pro-Palestinian protests on American campuses. In fact it says nothing about what kind of protests he'd make illegal, so let me tell you what he really meant: Let me re-write this to reflect reality – the reality inside Trump’s plans to imprison you. 'All Federal Funding will STOP for any College, School, or University that allows illegal protests. Protests like ‘Black Lives Matter’ are now illegal. Protests to save Medicare are now illegal. Protests against your favorite president (me) are now illegal. Agitators will be imprisoned… American students will be permanently expelled or depending on the crime, arrested. NO MASKS! NO DEMOCRATS! Thank you for your attention to this matter.' He also dropped a second hint inside that test of human endurance in front of the House and Senate of how he will use the new anti-Deepfake law to prosecute you for sharing videos of him, whether they're real or they're not. Because therein lies the true danger of a deepfake law: claiming a REAL video is just a fake. And of course don't miss out on the attempt to censure Rep. Al Green, the true hero of Tuesday night. They will vote today on punishing him for doing nothing compared to the previous Karen-ing by Boebert and Greene, or the infamous Joe "You Lie" Wilson. WE should be voting on whether we want Al to be the Democratic nominee in '28. Or the head of the entire party. Or the mandatory role model behind whom all the Democrats should've walked out in solidarity. B-Block (31:00) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: Those Trump Bros? The under 30s who pushed Trump over the finish line? They have abandoned him. Poll numbers among them down 15-30% in the first MONTH. Ukraine and the peacekeepers explained. Which Trumper would you take first in the Moron Draft, JD Vance, Karoline Leavitt, or Alina Habba? And when Joni Ernst campaigned on going to Washington to get hog and make 'em squeal, little did we know! C-Block (44:00) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Jeff Shell, reportedly running CBS before he's legally allowed to? Well 15 years ago he tried to run NBC before he was legally allowed to, and I have the receipts. Appeaser Governor Polis of Colorado learns what you get for helping Trump: Trump wants to cut off funds to Colorado. And Nancy Mace has a Lion Gender Identity Crisis.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R, CO-4) joins Dan to recap her questioning of Denver mayor Mike Johnston, along with three other major city mayors (Michelle Wu, Boston; Brandon Johnson, Chicago; Eric Adams, New York City) on the impact of sanctuary policies on ICE deportations of criminal illegal aliens.
Reps. Boebert and Tiffany Reintroduce Legislation to Delist the Gray Wolf
The big news this week is, well, us! Mayor Mike Johnston sat down with host Bree Davies and producer Paul Karolyi last week to talk about everything from the tipped minimum wage to his upcoming face-off with Rep. Lauren Boebert — and the interview caught fire. But lot of what the mayor actually said got lost in the noise, so Paul and Bree are clearing up the confusion. Plus, an interesting compromise in a zoning fight in City Park West, and a listener calls in with some jokes for Mr. Johnston before he goes in front of Boebert and the other Republicans on the House Oversight Committee this Wednesday. Paul mentioned this Denver Gazette article that left space open for people to misinterpret the mayor, along with a report from the Common Sense Institute and commentary from Heidi Ganahl and Do Better Denver. Here's the full instagram post from Weathervane Cafe owner Lindsey Dalton and our previous episode on the zoning debate. Get your tickets to HEYDAY now! Mayor Mike Johnston returns! Host Bree Davies and producer Paul Karolyi sit down with the mayor ahead of his trip to Washington for a high-profile congressional hearing on his approach to immigration next week, during which he will likely face hard questions from the likes of Rep. Lauren Boebert and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. With federal funding at stake, the mayor discusses his approach to what will surely be a media circus, as well has his thoughts on the recent debates over the tipped minimum wage, walkable and bike-able spaces, Colfax businesses struggling with BRT construction, and the future of downtown — plus, the recent wins he's proud of and a sneak peak at his next big projects. What do you think about how the mayor is doing? We'd love to hear your thoughts! Let's see… We lost Tester and Brown. We kept Greene and Boebert. And soon both Biden and Trump will be spending more time brushing up on their golf. Why does it feel like the math isn't right? David Waldman and Greg Dworkin try to help cypher it out. First things first, whose fault is it? Maybe anti-incumbent sentiment drove voters to the former President running for his third or fourth term, or it was the insidious far left media… or maybe a plurality of dumbass voters just like Trump. Young Latino males made a huge shift to Donald Trump. Was it economic anxiety? Racism? Sexism? Well, yes… but who motivated them to vote? Gops win elections through voters who don't trust the government. Therefore, once elected they will strive to make it less trustable. People made poor then vote for people to make them poorer. Here in Ohio, there was a campaign to reduce gerrymandering, and a campaign to confuse voters about what they were voting for. I can tell you that an issue that takes up more than 2 pages of a ballot to describe is pretty tempting to skip over. David can tell you about how this trick has been used before. Will Trump go to jail? No. Will Trump be sentenced? No. Will anyone connected to Trump's crime sprees go to jail? No… Other than Jack Smith, maybe.
Comedians Clare O'Kane, Alex Ptak, and Jeremy Kaplowitz explore the mysterious land of Quora.com to answer life's questions. This week's questions include: Why do extreme, right wing American women politicians always seem to be total MiLFs? Greene, Boebert, that one in Alaska, all completely gorgeous. As naturally left leaning, I find myself confused. Nostradamus identified two people he referred to as the antichrist: Napoleon and Hitler. He wrote there will be a third antichrist that will arrive in the future. Would you agree that the third antichrist is Joe Biden? Colorado's 4th Congressional District includes some of the state's least-populated places, and booming communities like Parker and Loveland. Democrat Trisha Calvarese and Republican Lauren Boebert each begin by answering a key question: Name a problem in the district and why voters should choose you to solve it.

The race to represent Western and Southern Colorado in Congress is much milder than it's been the past few cycles. Colorado's 3rd Congressional District is an open seat this year, with Lauren Boebert having switched districts to run for a safer seat. That leaves Democrat Adam Frisch facing off against Republican Jeff Hurd. Both candidates say they want sensible energy and immigration policies, as well as protections for water, though they chart different routes to achieve that.

A judge in Michigan torched RFK, Jr.'s attempt to remove his name from the state's ballots this year after Kennedy desperately tried to remove himself in order to help Donald Trump. The judge said that the state isn't going to change how they do business based on the "whim" of a candidate like Kennedy. This was a shot at Kennedy's fight to get on the ballot and then his fight to get off of it because he changed his mind. But there's much more to the ruling than just that little dig. Also, during his recent rally in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump claimed that the reason he continuously goes off topic during his rants is because he's using an oratory strategy that he calls "The Weave." He then attacked the media, saying that they will say he's off-topic or going crazy, but it is apparently all a part of his strategy. This isn't true at all, but he knows that the media is making a big deal of his cognitive decline so he's trying to pretend that it is all being done on purpose. And Lauren Boebert recently had her first, and probably only, debate against her Democratic opponent Trisha Calvarese, and it went as poorly for Boebert as you would expect. Boebert ended up melting down from the pressure that Calvarese put on her over her poor voting record, showing that you don't always have to go to the personal level to take down your opponent - But Calvarese did end up getting a few good shots in, too. Finally, according to new reports, Republicans in Washington, D.C. are actually hoping that Donald Trump loses the 2024 election so that the Republican Party can finally move on from him. Even though nearly all of them are publicly supporting Trump, they are more than ready to be rid of him behind the scenes. The only problem is that Trump has solidified himself into the Party's apparatus so deeply that there is almost no chance they can make a clean break.Subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay up to date on all of Farron's content: https://www.youtube.com/FarronBalancedFollow Farron on social media!Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FarronBalancedTwitter: https://twitter.com/farronbalancedInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/farronbalancedTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@farronbalanced?lang=enText and and let us know your thoughts on today's stories!

Two landmark Supreme Court decisions—the Trump immunity case and the overturning of the Chevron doctrine—represent the legal institutionalization of the core values of conspirituality: self-sovereignty, natural immunity or divine protection, and “doing your own research.” The attempted assassination on the former president forged the essence of these two rulings into a stunning still life of Trump's image for those who love him and those he's appointed to serve him. Julian and Matthew wade into the flood, and what might happen at ground zero of conspiracy theory formation—this time veering left as well as right. We're getting ready for this week's presidential debate. In the meantime, we wanted to share an audio essay from Michelle Cottle on a make-or-break vote for the MAGA warrior Lauren Boebert. The controversial lawmaker is facing a primary in Colorado that will determine her political future. Michelle visited a biker bar in Douglas County, Colo., to understand the ways Boebert is tweaking her image in a new district in hopes of winning over more traditional conservatives. Can she do it without losing hard-core Trump fans? This audio essay was originally made for the NYT Audio app, free for Times subscribers in the Apple App Store.
