There are new AFL rules…seven of them! What is changing? For the AFLW tonight it’s Eagles against Carlton at Tim Sullivan Logistics Stadium and on Sunday Freo play Adelaide at Norwood Oval. In netball, the Diamonds won the Constellation cup with an impressive game but there was a horrible injury. Seguimos con los monográficos terroríficos, si la temporada pasada hablamos de la década de los 70, en el nuevo episodio de Cine de barra nos adentramos en una década en la que los asesinos dormían poco, los demonios vestían con cuero y los efectos especiales parecían hechos con gelatina y entusiasmo. Sí, hablamos del glorioso cine de terror de los años 80, esa época en la que el miedo se veía en VHS, con el cabezal del vídeo pidiendo la jubilación anticipada. En este viaje al pasado repasamos títulos que marcaron época: Pesadilla en Elm Street, con Freddy Krueger convirtiendo las siestas en deporte de riesgo; Hellraiser, donde abrir un cubo podía invocar a demonios o, con suerte, a una mudanza infernal; Bad Taste, la ópera prima de Peter Jackson cuando todavía usaba más sangre falsa que presupuesto; Scanners, con esas cabezas que explotaban sin necesidad de efectos digitales; y Al final de la escalera, que demuestra que mudarse a una casa vieja nunca trae nada bueno (ni aunque tenga jardín). Además, hablamos del documental In Search of Darkness, una auténtica carta de amor al terror ochentero y a esa época en la que los monstruos eran de goma, los gritos eran de verdad y las cintas olían a videoclub y a palomitas recalentadas. Entre sustos, risas y nostalgia, nos preguntamos: ¿por qué el terror de los 80 sigue funcionando hoy? Tal vez porque era artesanal, descarado y, sobre todo, porque detrás del maquillaje y los efectos caseros había algo que el CGI aún no ha podido replicar: pura pasión por asustar. Prepárate para apagar la luz, darle al play y dejar que los 80 vuelvan a colarse en tus pesadillas… si te atreves.
