The excitement of being within Trad range of an animal definitely will make the heart pound. But being within Trad range of a grizzly takes it to a whole other level. It is imperative that the hunter makes no mistakes and stays focused on the job at hand. One small lapse in focus can mean a blown hunt, or death in the jaws of one of the most formative animals a bowhunter could ever dream of hunting. It takes a special hunter to take a grizzly with traditional gear. Rick Snell, “Mr. Grizzly”, has spent much of his life hunting these magnificent animals with his recurve. This week Rick joins Alan Altizer as he shares several grizzly hunts and a couple of black bear stories. Having taken over 20 grizzlies with a recurve, he has some incredible stories. This is an exciting show!!!
Saulgrieži Turaidā 21. jūnijā – no saules modināšanas rītausmā līdz saules pavadīšanai vēlā vakarā. Par to runājam raidījumā Kā labāk dzīvot.

Firma síce využíva moderné technológie na zefektívňovanie procesov v pozadí, no komunikáciu so zákazníkmi ponecháva v rukách ľudí. Firma totiž dlhodobo zabezpečovala prepravu do krajín bývalého Sovietskeho zväzu. „V roku 2022 sme prišli približne o tretinu tržieb. Napriek tomu sa nám podarilo situáciu zvládnuť a minulý rok sme opäť rástli takmer o 40 percent,“ približuje A. Jendek. Viac si vypočujete v podcaste.

Trad wives are taking over horror in 2026 – but I predict none will be more frightening and more gorgeously WEIRD than Sarah Langan's novel. It's the tale of a young woman in the dying era of journalism and the YouTube influencer who offers her hope, and much worse things…. I absolutely loved it. Sarah and I talk about the trad wife phenomenon, where it comes from, what it means, and how it's all really based in cold hard capitalism. We talk about literary influences, about sustaining extreme weirdness in fiction, and why establishing character properly is so important. And we even recall the time we bonded over the gift of a mutant duck! Enjoy! Other books mentioned: Pet Sematary (1983), by Stephen King Trad Wife (2026), by Saratoga Schafer Yesteryear (2026), by Caro Claire Burke “The Yellow Wallpaper” (1892), by Charlotte Perkins Gilman The King in Yellow (1985), Robert W. A very hot debate, about 3 months too late. The Betches chat through the different moral arguments for and against stripping down a piece of fan fiction to its bones then publishing it in a traditional publishing world. What should be the future of publishing? Do we adapt to the times or do we do what we always have, which is lay out and do nothing as technology advances?See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
In this episode, Tia Levings returns to talk about her new book I Belong to Me - a guide to healing and recovery after high-control religion and other controlling environments. Tia walks through what she calls the steps before the steps: the audacity, the centrality, the willingness to want something different before you're even ready to name what happened to you. We talk about why language can free you and trap you at the same time, how cult-hopping happens and why, what developmental stages get stolen in high-control systems, and how somatic and body-based modalities opened up healing that talk therapy alone couldn't reach. This is a grounded, honest conversation about what it looks like to start to become the protagonist of your own story.Tia Levings is the New York Times Bestselling author of A Well-Trained Wife, her memoir of escape from Christian Patriarchy and I Belong to Me: A Survivor's Guide to Recovery and Hope after Religious Trauma. She writes about the realities of religious trauma, evangelical patriarchy, and the Trad wife life, decoding the fundamentalist influences in our news and culture. Her work and quotes have appeared in Teen Vogue, Salon, Newsweek, and the HuffingtonPost. She is an experienced interviewee, speaker, and podcast guest, and has appeared in the hit Amazon docu-series, Shiny Happy People. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, she is mom to four incredible adults and likes to travel, hike, paint, and daydream. We had a great time chatting to Connor for this week's episode. I feel like you have to really make waves in the Trad world for us to know that much about you and Connor has done just that. After sending what was potentially the hardest ever trad pitch Connor went around the world to try the other contenders for the title, and in so doing, discovered that yes, it's probably the hardest ever trad pitch. We chat about the incredible year he's had but also about trad climbing in general. Some of the ethics questions and also we chat about trad climbers and wonder why they are the way that they are (we love you really). If you're enjoying the podcast and would like to support us, please do consider checking out our Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/user?u=70353823Support the show
Where did the "tradwife" trend come from — you know, aside from the 1950s — and why has it become increasingly popular online? Today, we're talking about not just how men aren't doing that well, but maybe women aren't either. This question, of course, is because the (usually) alt-right tradwives supporters have a new girlboss, and it's Erika Kirk.Journalist Liz Plank joins us to break down the resurgence of these regressive ideas about where women belong and how they should conduct themselves, the trend's origins (again, aside from in the ‘50s), and why the #tradlife is appealing to people now. Our guest Liz Plank is a journalist, podcaster, and author. She hosts the Boy Problems podcast wherever your listen (or watch on YouTube), the Airplane Mode newsletter, and you can follow her work more broadly at https://www.elizabethplank.com/ or @feministabulous everywhere. The new novel ‘Yesteryear' imagines what would happen if a modern-day trad wife influencer woke up in 1855, forced to actually live in the era she's been romanticising on social media. Ellen Coyne, Political Correspondent of the Irish Times, tells Brendan about why it's striking such a chord and posing wider questions about mothers' choices.

In this conversation, Trent Horn and Kade Bradley go head-to-head on some of the hardest questions in modern sexual ethics: whether morality is grounded in natural law or human flourishing, whether affirmation actually improves outcomes, and whether data alone can settle moral debates. They also clash over same-sex relationships, public norms, schools, DSM history, transgender questions, and the limits of harm-based reasoning.

This week, Kate sits down with Caro Claire Burke, author of the hit debut novel Yesteryear, the trad wife time travel thriller that triggered a publishing bidding war, has already been optioned by Anne Hathaway, and is Good Morning America's April book club pick. They discuss a variety of topics within the book (with spoilers, FYI), including how you write an unreliable narrator whose worldview fundamentally opposes your own, the layers of performance that start with God and end with the algorithm, why Natalie is deserving of sympathy as both a victim and a bad person, the Ballerina Farm and Ruby Franke parallels, Caleb as a vacant vessel, why the twist ending had Kate pacing at 2 AM rethinking her life choices, and how the epilogue reframes everything. They also detour into Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and the Taylor Frankie Paul of it all, plus sleepover discourse against Caro's will, how they both relate to Natalie's experience with being publicly perceived, and Caro's experience selling the book and film rights before the book was even finished. Join the world's largest sex school and access 150+ courses for curious adults: https://beducate.me/lovers. — In this episode of Lovers, I sit down with Lisa Bilyeu to talk about a decision a lot of women think about… but don’t always say out loud: what if you don’t want kids? Lisa is an entrepreneur, co-founder of Quest Nutrition, and founder of Impact Theory Studios. She’s known for building billion-dollar businesses alongside her husband while also speaking openly about identity, marriage, and what it means to choose a life that actually fits you. Lisa built a life that looked like the dream. Marriage, stability, and the role she thought she was supposed to want. For a long time, she even stepped into the idea of being a traditional wife. But over time, something didn’t sit right. What happens when you realize the life you chose doesn’t actually fit you anymore? We talk about what it looked like for Lisa to tell her husband that she didn’t want children, how they navigated being in a marriage where one partner wants kids and the other doesn’t, and why choosing to be child-free doesn’t mean something is missing, broken, or selfish. This conversation challenges the idea that every woman is meant to become a mother, and unpacks the pressure many women feel around motherhood, marriage, and identity. We also explore what it means to redefine a successful relationship on your own terms, whether that includes children or not. If you’ve ever questioned whether motherhood is for you, wondered how to tell your partner you don’t want kids, or felt conflicted about choosing career, independence, or a different kind of life, this episode is for you. This week, Scheana is answering your listener questions and nothing is off limits, except for questions she's addressed numerous times before – like why her last name is Shay. From Bravo tea to personal reflections, she's diving into everything you've been wanting to know. Which Bravo show would Scheana join if she had to pick another? Who is her favorite (and least favorite) Bravolebrity? And which Vanderpump Rules castmate was she actually closer with than the cameras showed? She also opens up about whether she's working to salvage any old friendships and what she does—and doesn't—miss about being on TV. Plus, Scheana gets into the tattoo removal process and the seven bad decisions she's currently erasing from her life (and body), including the matching tattoo she once got with Kristen Doute. She also jokes about Brock's new “trad wife” energy in the kitchen, gives an update on new music and upcoming projects, and shares when you might see her back on your TV screens. Tune in to find out!
