Our real estate playlist of episodes is among the most watched and engaged with. What is interesting about Milo is they weren't founded as a crypto company, they are and always have been a mortgage lender to borrowers who don't fit into the “prime box”. That's immediately what made Milo stick out to me is that they have a history of making mortgage loans work in the absence of regular W2 income, citizenship and FICO scores. George has been in the church his whole life. From growing up in the Coptic Orthodox tradition, to serving in Pastor roles within Evangelical and Mainline Churches. We get the chance to talk about George and his work with Church Clarity. As George puts it, “We shouldn’t know more about our Uber drivers than we do about our pastors.”

Clarity is reasonable. Ambiguity is harmful. I love the mission of Church Clarity to raise the standards of clarity for churches to present their policies clearly on their websites so that those who choose to participate in these communities are not harmed by bait-and-switch ambiguity. Here’s my conversation with one of the founders of Church Clarity, George Mekhail, who is a parent of two kids. We talk about how to raise our children in understanding what words mean and to let your yes be yes. I’m especially grateful for how Church Clarity will help protect LGBTQ teens who may want to enter a church community to be CLEAR on how fully they will be welcomed. George Mekhail, gay affirming Pastor, wrote a letter to mega church Pastor Judah Smith, (City Church, Seattle) asking for clarification on his ambiguous statement about church inclusion during a sermon.  "Is City Church gay-affirming" George writes Judah Smith. "Will City Church affirm, baptize and marry gay people?"  No answer after a few months.
