Every great hero—and every great villain—has an origin story that shapes their future. But what happens when yours is filled with broken cycles, trauma, or habits you desperately want to break? In this message from our series The Refining, Pastor Mark looks at the generational drama of Joseph in Genesis to unpack a powerful truth: true spiritual health requires us to confront our past. You don't have to live by the script handed down to you. It's time to step into a new, supernatural identity and become who you were actually created to be.CONTENT REFERENCES:Theo Von Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CihTN2GQymcMark Manson Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfiBDuUVc-A&t=314s**********

Have you ever needed someone to just meet you where you are in life, and just listen to you? It's commonly called "sitting in the mud" with someone. Pastor Dalton talks about the importance of sitting with people and REALLY seeing them for who they are. Not some kind of project, or category, or just an audience to speak at, but a real person to be present with. We would love for you to journey with us as we unpack this together!**********

What do you do when the unimaginable happens? When you lose everything you love, is it possible to find "treasure" in the wreckage of grief?Pastor Mark sits down with Tammy, a long-time friend of Lux Digital Church, to discuss one of the most difficult chapters of Emotionally Healthy Discipleship: Finding Treasure in Grief and Loss. Tammy shares her raw and powerful story of losing two children—her son, Matthew, and nine years later, her daughter, Alex. We often hear that "everything happens for a reason," but the reality of grief is far more complex. Tammy talks about how the supernatural presence of God sustains us when we should be defeated—and how God can transform even our deepest tragedies into a platform for His grace.**********

If you spend a lot of time gaming, grinding, or leveling up your career but still feel like you're hitting an invisible ceiling, this video is for you. We often think the answer to every problem is to just "push harder," but what if the limits you're fighting are actually meant to form you? In this talk, Pastor Andy explores the vital difference between the resistance that strengthens us and the ceilings that define us. Drawing from Genesis and Peter Scazzero's Emotionally Healthy Discipleship, we look at why surrendering to our limits is actually an acknowledgement that we are not God. **********
In this message wrapping up the “From Tent to Tomb” series, Pastor Ryan explores how the power of the empty tomb moves into everyday life. He challenges listeners to turn down artificial light and distractions, turn up devotion to Jesus, and step confidently into a culture full of competing “truths.” Using Paul in Athens, starfish regeneration, and campfire community as illustrations, he calls believers to become prepared, culturally aware, and bold—sharing their faith in the “court of public opinion” as evidence of Christ's restoring work in their own lives.---------------We are growing the Kingdom of God through the lives of everyday people by reaching UP to God, IN to Grow, and OUT to GiveJoin us on Sundays at 9:30 in person and online!**Our live stream on Sunday mornings includes worship and announcements. Maybe you are dragging yourself into church because it's what you "should" do, or you're feeling completely burnt out by work and the chaos of life. As Pastor Ryan continues his series “From Tent to Tomb,” we explore the meaning of the altar as the place where our confession meets God's mercy. Tracing the story from Eden to the temple, from Old Testament sacrifices to Jesus' death on the cross, we look at how judgment, offering, and grace all intersect in this “divine transaction.” As you consider your own walk with Christ, you'll be invited to reflect on a simple but searching question: What do you bring to the altar today?---------------We are growing the Kingdom of God through the lives of everyday people by reaching UP to God, IN to Grow, and OUT to GiveJoin us on Sundays at 9:30 in person and online!**Our live stream on Sunday mornings includes worship and announcements. What do you do when the people who are supposed to love you most are the ones who let you down? Nathan Artt grew up in the middle of chaos: suffering through family substance abuse, physical violence, and eventually being abandoned by both parents by the time he was 17. Despite holding scoring records on the basketball court and a 4.0 GPA, he was "passionately against" the idea of religion. In week 5 of The Crucible, Pastor Mark welcomes his friend Nathan Artt (Ministry Solutions Group) to share his testimony at Lux Digital Church. This isn't just a story about "refrigerator awards" and Ivy League offers: it is a raw look at how God works uniquely through our suffering to form something new**********
Pastor Ryan explores the powerful temple imagery of the mikvah—the ancient Jewish purification bath—and connects it to Christian baptism and ongoing spiritual renewal. The message challenges listeners to move beyond a private, passive faith into a rhythm of honest confession, prayer, and spiritual “washing,” so that we don't just go through church routines, but truly prepare our hearts to encounter God.---------------We are growing the Kingdom of God through the lives of everyday people by reaching UP to God, IN to Grow, and OUT to GiveJoin us on Sundays at 9:30 in person and online!**Our live stream on Sunday mornings includes worship and announcements. We often think that if we follow the "rules" of faith: reading our Bibles, praying, and serving, that God owes us a comfortable life. We want a boss who pays us for our work, not a God who transforms us through our trials. But what if suffering isn't just a hurdle to get over, but a vital part of your spiritual formation? In part four of "The Crucible", Pastor Mark explores the redemptive power of suffering. Drawing from the lives of the Apostle Paul, James, and Brother Lawrence, we look at how God uses discomfort to develop a strength of character that cannot be found anywhere else.**********
Do you ever feel like your brain is a "surprise encounter" in an RPG? You finally sit down to pray or be still, and within 15 seconds, your mind is bombarded by anxiety, distractions, or a "to-do" list that feels like a final boss. Spiritual formation isn't about having a perfectly silent mind: it is about having a redirected one.- The "Lev" Command Center: Why the Biblical word for "heart" actually refers to your inner monologue and how to guard it.- Fighting Lavos: Identifying the "proud obstacles" and strongholds that set themselves up against the truth of God in your mind.- The Art of the "Rep": Why a wandering mind isn't a failure, but an opportunity to train your "return" to God's presence.- The 3-Breath Return: A practical, 30-second tool to Acknowledge, Release, and Receive God's peace in the middle of your busiest day.Stop "button mashing" through your spiritual life and feeling like a fraud. Formation happens when we abide: and abiding starts with taking your thoughts captive.**********
In this message from the series “From Tent to Tomb,” we trace how God's presence moved from Eden's mountaintop to the tabernacle, to the temple in Jerusalem, and ultimately to Jesus himself. Using the imagery of city walls, temple courts, and the narrow gate, we explore why access to God isn't blocked by his barriers, but by the walls we build in our own hearts. This sermon calls us to honest confession, daily surrender, and a deeper experience of God's presence—especially as we approach baptism, communion, and the journey toward Easter.------------We are growing the Kingdom of God through the lives of everyday people by reaching UP to God, IN to Grow, and OUT to GiveJoin us on Sundays at 8:30 in person and 10:30 in person and online!**Our live stream on Sunday mornings includes worship and announcements. Are you satisfied with just "checking the boxes" of your faith, or do you long for something deeper? In Part 2 of our series, The Crucible, Pastor Mark explores the difference between being merely "shaped" by religious habits and being completely "melted down" and transformed by the presence of God. We talk about what Scripture actually says about anxious thoughts, why anxiety is not a sign of weak faith, and how God meets us with His peace in the middle of uncertainty.Together, we explore how anxiety often reveals where we are carrying burdens we were never meant to hold—and how God gently invites us to release them back into His hands. If you have been feeling overwhelmed, restless, or mentally exhausted, this conversation is for you.Help keep our Bible study resources free by supporting as a Heartkeeper here: heartdive.org/giveJoin us in our daily Bible study!PHASE 1: heartdive.org/startHEART DIVE LOBBY (Facebook Community): https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1BK2GvLZbo/?mibextid=wwXIfrVISIT OUR SHOP: heartdiveshop.comFREE RESOURCES: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/mobile/folders/1Tvms_gB-OWMum61DiCXvFV8R8jKXpIVIMy Bible Notes: https://heartdive.org/daily-notes-with-kanoe/Amazon Link: https://www.amazon.com/shop/kanoegibson/list/1ED3COSB79TAQ?ref_=aipsflistLOGOS Software affiliate link: http://www.logos.com/heartdiveFree Reading Plan and Daily Newsletter sign up: http://heartdive.org/newsletterLink to recommended Bibles: https://heartdive.org/recommendations/
Are you tired of treating your faith like a "grind" in an RPG? We often approach spiritual disciplines like we are trying to level up a skill tree: if we just read enough, pray enough, or "do" enough, then we will finally be "good Christians." But what if the point of your faith isn't the destination, but the doorway? In the kickoff of our new series, The Crucible, Pastor Druzi explores the shift from performing spiritual disciplines to experiencing spiritual formation. This is part of our Year of the Forge journey: moving from the "what" of our faith to the "how" of being changed by God's presence. In this video:
Why do we avoid one of the spiritual disciplines Jesus assumed we'd actually do? In Part 3 of our series on Spiritual Disciplines, Pastor Mark is joined by Dr. Chris Marshall to discuss fasting. For many of us, fasting feels "old-timey," overwhelming, or even like "works righteousness," but it's actually a powerful rhythm designed to sharpen our hunger for God. Whether you are a seasoned believer or just starting your faith journey, this conversation explores how to move from physical hunger to spiritual fullness.
Welcome to our first service of 2026! We are kicking off a brand-new year-long emphasis at Lux Digital Church: The Year of the Forge. If you are starting this year with the "Planet Fitness" mindset—full of good intentions but easily distracted by life's "chili cheese dogs"—this message is for you. Following Jesus is simple, but it is not easy. Too often, we treat reading the Bible as a religious chore rather than a life-altering rhythm. In the series premiere of "The Core," Pastor Mark breaks down how your spiritual core determines the quality of your life. We aren't looking for religious check-boxing; we are looking for healthy spiritual rhythms that bring about genuine transformation.*****4 Perspective Shifts for your Bible study:1️⃣ Read for Relationship: The Scriptures aren't a divine info-dump; they point to a relationship with a living God.2️⃣ Read for Formation: Just like the gym, the Bible forms you over the long haul, not through a one-time "quick fix".3️⃣ Read for Resistance: We need the Word to counteract the billions of dollars spent trying to press us into the world's mold.4️⃣ Read for Knowing: Moving from knowing about God to recognizing the voice of the Shepherd.*****
Pastor Dalton is joined this week by lots of guests from our community here at Lux. We get to hear from several of our small group leaders about the importance of being in community, and how small groups have impacted their lives. We weren't meant to do life alone, so let's see what life can look like when we walk through it together. *****

We are not naturally generous. We are naturally selfish. But God supernaturally transforms the way we think and act- so what would our lives look like if we changed to be more like our God: open-handed?**********
Welcome to our Christmas series, The Garage: A Legacy of Love! This week, Pastor Mark asks the central question: What legacy are you leaving? Are you leaving behind a legacy of chaos and anxiety, or one of faithful, loving presence? We dive into the four names of Jesus from Isaiah 9:6 and show how each one gives us the hope we need to leave a lasting legacy this Christmas season. The legacy of hope in Jesus is found in four names:1) Wonderful Counselor (Our Guide): In a world of spin and AI , Jesus is our faithful guide. We discuss our cultural value: Guides are greater than Heroes , and how to respect people as people, not just conquest targets.2) Mighty God (Our Champion): The Hebrew word Gibbor means Champion or Warrior. Jesus is our powerful champion who stands in front of us and prevails, even when the culture feels overwhelming.3) Everlasting Father (The Creator of Eternity): The literal Hebrew translation means the Father of Eternity. We can have hope because we serve a God who created time and exists above it.4) Prince of Peace (The Lord of SHALOM): The Hebrew word Shalom means so much more than just the absence of war; it means completeness, soundness, welfare, and the longing to restore Eden.#LegacyOfHope #WonderfulCounselor #MightyGod #PrinceOfPeace #Gibbor #Shalom #ChristmasSermon #LuxDigitalChurch #Legacy #NerdTheology**********

Their life is a real-world example of the legacy that Jesus started at the manger. In this talk:
