Christmas Isn't Christmas Anymore | Cancelled. Sanitised. Watered down. #JonGaunt #JonGauntTV #Live #UKCultureWar #BirminghamBollards #HostileVehicleMitigation #FreeSpeechUK Christmas. Cancelled. Sanitised. Watered down. Tonight I'm going live to talk about how far this country has fallen — and how even Christmas is no longer safe from the madness. Birmingham City Council has announced automatic bollards in the city centre for "hostile vehicle mitigation". But let's stop pretending: it's not cars that are the problem. It's people. And the fact we can't even say that out loud tells you everything about the state of the UK. Then there's the corporate cowardice. Sainsbury's pulling a Christmas card over Grinch controversy and complaints from the Trans lobby! Tesco refusing to even call a Christmas tree a Christmas tree — opting instead for "evergreen". When did common sense get replaced with fear of offence? Meanwhile, people are skint, energy bills are crushing families, and what do we get on TV? Wall-to-wall repeats and recycled rubbish. No joy. No escape. No Christmas spirit. This will be a live, interactive stream — say what you think, argue back, or just vent. Because if we can't talk honestly anymore, then Christmas really is dead.

Joe Rose joins live from Pittsburgh to briefly go around the NFL, touching on Josh Allen's Bills comeback, Phillip Rivers' solid outing for the Colts, and Patrick Mahomes' season-ending injury. The focus then shifts to the Dolphins-Steelers matchup, with Joe breaking down Miami's keys to victory: running the ball, playing physical, and exploiting Pittsburgh's weak stats. He also highlights Mike McDaniel's late practice to prepare the team for cold weather and the Dolphins' chance to silence long-standing narratives. The hour also covers John Cena's retirement and WWE sendoff, Alex Donno's take on a watered-down college bowl season, and local sports highlights, including Fernando Mendoza winning the Heisman Trophy.
☞ ABOUT THIS MESSAGE Jim's message explored the true meaning of belonging to Christ, focusing on spiritual identity and persecution. Drawing from John 15 and 16, he emphasized three key principles: making Jesus our foundation, recognizing our true belonging to God rather than the world, and developing deep and wide roots in our faith. He described the Christian life as a well-watered garden, thriving even in persecution. The message challenged us to consider if we face persecution for genuine faith or mere religious behavior, highlighting that true belonging to Christ sets us apart from worldly systems and empty religion. ☞ BIBLE APP NOTES https://www.bible.com/events/49520126 ☞ GROUP LEADER GUIDE https://page.church.tech/274affff ☞ NEXT STEPS
☞ ABOUT THIS MESSAGE Jim shares God's strategy for cultural transformation through Ezekiel's vision of a life-giving river from God's throne. This river starts as a trickle but grows deeper, bringing life to dead places. As we stay rooted in surrender at God's throne, His living water flows through us, making us like flourishing trees that bear fruit and bring healing. Instead of policing morality, we're called to overflow with the fruit of the Spirit. Jim encourages us to examine our relationship with God's throne and become sources of life and renewal in our communities. ☞ BIBLE APP NOTES https://www.bible.com/events/49513421 ☞ GROUP LEADER GUIDE https://page.church.tech/aa45c3e1 ☞ NEXT STEPS

Labour has announced what some are describing a “watered down” version of a Capital Gains Tax. This targeted CGT would affect profit made after July 2027 from selling a commercial or residential property, excluding the family home. Leader Chris Hipkins promises nine out of 10 Kiwis won’t pay tax on what they own, and it’ll allow everyone to get three free doctors visits a year. On the flip side, National’s calling it an “attack on investment and savings” - with Finance Minister Nicola Willis saying it would “put New Zealand’s economic recovery at risk”. Today on The Front Page, Infometrics economist Brad Olsen is with us to dive into the details of Labour’s latest pitch to the public.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Segment 1 • Sanctification isn't “just stop it” — it's put off and put on (Eph 4:22-24). • True change means replacing sin with Spirit-driven habits. • If you're dry, bitter, or hurting — don't wait to feel it; start doing what grows desire. Segment 2 – The Math of Holiness • Dr. Greg Gifford explains the biblical equation: Put off + Put on = Growth. • Sanctification isn't just subtraction alone; holiness must also be put on. • Lasting change happens when obedience fills the space sin used to occupy. Segment 3 – The Trojan Horse in Your Church • “Contextualization” can smuggle worldliness into worship. • The church loses it's unique purpose as salt and light when it trades truth for relatability. • Baby-talk preaching creates baby-faith Christians. Segment 4 • Paul's “all things” meant removing cultural barriers, not rewriting the gospel. • Contextualization becomes compromise when it reshapes truth to fit culture. • Faithful preaching feeds sheep, not the world. ___ Thanks for listening! The early church is often painted as an ideal of perfect community. The reality, however, was far from picturesque. The church in Corinth was, to put it lightly, a mess. In one of his letters to the Corinthian church, the Apostle Paul tried to paint a clear picture for the people and untangle the many theological and moral knots the church had created for itself. His letter to them still rings true to the church today. How can we be unified in a world of chaos? How can we be wise in a world of foolishness?

In this week's message in our series, Soil of the Supernatural, we explore what it means to live a life Watered by the Spirit. Jesus promises rivers of living water to all who believe in Him—a direct reference to the Holy Spirit flowing in and through our lives (John 7:37–39). But how do we stay in step with the Spirit and allow that water to nourish the soil of our souls?Drawing from Galatians 5, this message calls us to walk by the Spirit—not by the flesh—so we can bear lasting fruit and thrive in the supernatural life God intends. When our hearts are daily saturated with His presence, transformation is inevitable.

Sometimes my passion for being in the Word starts to wilt a little bit. Chatting with people who love Jesus and reading his word encourages me to see it in a new light, or inspire me to dig in deeper. I've met with Maggie a couple of times in person at conferences and I'm always inspired by her passion for studying the Bible! I Most of what we have talked about is Bible stuff and fashion (one thing listeners should know is Maggie has an amazing sense of style) But she also lives on a farm, how does what you do on your farm remind you of studying the Bible? I think it would be impossible to dive into this topic without touching on your last stage of life too. How did you meet Gretchen and end up working for Well Watered Women? As this season has shifted, how has studying the Bible changed for you? Or has it? What obstacles do you face in reading or studying the Bible? In your study you give 5 ways to respond to the text you've read (believe, act, repent, worship, pray) Does one of those come more naturally? Does one come less? What have you done to strengthen that area?
