Have you been reading the Word, praying, showing up at church, and still walking away feeling flat and far from God?Kathy Lindberg, founder of Watered by the Word, named something on the Treasured Wellness Show that I have watched play out in the lives of so many women I work with. Women come to her and say, “Kathy, I'm doing all the things. I'm going to church. I'm reading my Bible. I'm praying. I have my quiet time.” And they still feel empty. Still dissatisfied. Still stuck.I told Kathy something I believe with my whole heart. Spiritual fatigue is the most dangerous form of fatigue there is. When your body is tired, you feel it. When your mind is foggy, you notice it. But when your spirit runs dry while you keep performing the motions of faith, you can go a long time before anyone, including you, recognizes what is happening. The Trap of the Full ChecklistKathy calls it being a box checker, and she is honest that she has been there herself. The quiet time gets crossed off the list right alongside the emails, the school pickups, and the meetings. The heart posture underneath quietly slips away while the activity keeps going. Here is what most women never get told. A full checklist can sit right on top of an empty tank. You can be faithful in every observable way and still feel disconnected, because the doing was never the point. The relationship was. And that gap carries a real cost, one that often has a physical layer nobody is examining. When Your Faith Feels Flat, Look at Your Whole PersonI want to address something to the woman who has been praying harder, serving more, and secretly wondering whether her dryness means her faith is failing.Sometimes the spiritual flatness you feel has a root that reaches all the way into your body. When you have been running on chronic stress for years, your cortisol rhythm flattens, inflammation builds quietly, and your nervous system stays locked in a state of powering through. In that state, your capacity to feel almost anything, including the presence of God you know is there, gets muffled or muted. Here is the part most midlife women do not realize yet. What you are feeling is common, and it is a signal. The exhaustion, the flatness, the sense that something is off long before any lab test reading confirms it. In my experience most women are already roughly two-thirds of the way toward a diagnosis by the time their bloodwork flags it through a conventional reading. That means the tiredness you have been powering through sits inside a window where things are still very changeable. Common has quietly convinced a lot of women it is normal. It is common, and it is not normal, and this is exactly the moment where taking the reins changes the outcome. This is part of what I call High-Functioning Fatigue™, the invisible depletion of a woman whose drive has outpaced her body's current capacity. She looks capable on the outside because she is. Underneath, the tank is running dangerously low, and it touches every part of her, spirit included. The woman in that place is asking for answers, for language to understand what her body has been trying to tell her, so her spirit has room to breathe again. The Invitation Is Smaller Than You ThinkHave you been believing that reconnecting with God requires an hour you do not have?Kathy shared something freeing. Jesus is offering an invitation, and it holds whether you have five minutes or five hours. There is life to be given through the Word, through silence, through prayer, in whatever measure of time you can plug in today. It is never too late, and there is no expectation of perfection. This is the same principle I build into the lives of the women I guide. We create daily restore times, small intentional pauses to be with the Lord and to let the body settle out of emergency mode. Some days that looks like a cozy chair and a full cup of coffee. Most days it looks like five minutes before you open your laptop, listening to a Psalm, breathing slow, letting your nervous system come down. Scripture calls us to “be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). Stillness is a practice you can steward, one small choice at a time.Kathy keeps Scripture note cards where she will see them, on the mirror, on the refrigerator, in the car during her commute. During her own fiery season, filling her mind with the things of God was literally life giving. That is stewardship of the mind, and it is a spiritual practice and a physiological one at the same time. What you feed your mind, your body listens to.You Were Made to Prosper as Your Soul ProspersThe verse that anchors everything I do is 3 John 1:2. “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”Read it slowly. Your health and your soul were designed to rise together. To be united. When one is depleted for long enough, the other feels the drought. So here is the question I want to leave with you. What if that emptiness you have been carrying is your whole person asking to be understood and cared for, while there is still time to respond well? You do not have to figure this out alone. Kathy said it plainly, and Scripture said it first in Genesis. We were made for community, not to walk this out in isolation. The same is true of your health. This is the season to take control and steward it with intention, before the window narrows.Ready to begin stewarding your health with specific intention?Subscribe to Treasured Wellness!Treasure your wellness!XO, Michelle. This content is for educational purposes only and is not intended as medical advice. Isaiah 55:10-11 Watered with the Word It doesn’t look like much from a distance, just a white line on the horizon. But as you get closer, the line has contours and dips and domes. It turns into a white ridge of snow-covered mountains. That snowpack may look quiet and still, but in the spring and summer months, it’s doing an important job. Melting. In places like the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the snowmelt is crucial for area agriculture. As snow melts, water runs down into rivers and reservoirs. It waters farms and orchards and carries communities through the dry months of summer. God says his Word works like that. Rain and snow do not fall from the sky and return without watering the earth. They accomplish God's purpose. So does his Word. It may not look powerful. Bible passages read around the family dinner table. A devotion next to a hospital bed. A Sunday sermon. But God says his Word does not return empty. That promise is great comfort, especially when we feel spiritually dry. Maybe your faith feels weak. Maybe guilt has hardened your heart. Maybe grief has left you cracked and tired. God’s Word is not powerful because of how strongly you feel it. It is powerful because God is working through it. The same Lord who sends rain to make the earth bud and flourish sends his Word to give faith, forgiveness, peace, and life. The good news of Jesus is not empty. Jesus’ death for your sins was not empty. His promise to forgive you is not empty. He left the tomb empty so that every promise he made is fulfilled. So, use God’s Word. Read it. Speak it. Share it. Rest in it. God will use it for his purpose. Prayer: Lord, water my dry heart with your Word. Make faith grow in me and use your Word through me to comfort others with Jesus. Amen. The guys react to the Heat losing to a struggling Jazz team that's clearly trying to tank, even pulling starters in the fourth quarter, and use it to highlight bigger issues in the NBA. They rip the underwhelming Dunk Contest lineup and question why LeBron never participated, while arguing that All-Star Weekend and even the All-Star Game itself have become watered down. The conversation shifts to the league's core problem of too many games, noting it will never change because of the money involved. They also give some credit to the Marlins for fighting to stay around .500 last season despite limited financial flexibility

This week on Truth From The Stand, I'm sitting down with Chad Sylvester for a conversation that started light and ended up digging pretty deep. We talk about whether hunting has become watered down, and what that question really means in a world shaped by technology, influence, and constant noise. Somewhere along the way, we get into old boots, old lessons, and the kind of hunting experiences that leave a mark because they're earned, not curated. We unpack how modern tools, social media, and shifting expectations have changed the way a lot of us experience the woods—and how easy it is to lose sight of why we started hunting in the first place. Chad and I get honest about influence, ego, motivation, and the tension between chasing outcomes and honoring the process. At the heart of it all is a reminder that woodsmanship, awareness, discomfort, and humility can't be watered down—and that the best parts of hunting still live in the friction, the uncertainty, and the quiet moments when nobody's watching. This one's about reconnecting with what matters, questioning our motives, and remembering that the hunt is supposed to shape us—not the other way around. WHAT TO EXPECT FROM PODCAST 477 Hunting can feel watered down when friction and challenge are removed. Real growth comes from discomfort, effort, and earned experience. Woodsmanship and reading nature are skills that can't be replaced or diluted. Influence can be driven by ego—or by a genuine desire to help others. Self-reflection reveals why we hunt and what truly motivates us. The dilution of hunting reflects broader cultural shifts, not just technology. The deepest value of hunting lies in connection, struggle, and personal growth. Christmas Isn't Christmas Anymore | Cancelled. Sanitised. Watered down. #JonGaunt #JonGauntTV #Live #UKCultureWar #BirminghamBollards #HostileVehicleMitigation #FreeSpeechUK Christmas. Cancelled. Sanitised. Watered down. Tonight I'm going live to talk about how far this country has fallen — and how even Christmas is no longer safe from the madness. Birmingham City Council has announced automatic bollards in the city centre for "hostile vehicle mitigation". But let's stop pretending: it's not cars that are the problem. It's people. And the fact we can't even say that out loud tells you everything about the state of the UK. Then there's the corporate cowardice. Sainsbury's pulling a Christmas card over Grinch controversy and complaints from the Trans lobby! Tesco refusing to even call a Christmas tree a Christmas tree — opting instead for "evergreen". When did common sense get replaced with fear of offence? Meanwhile, people are skint, energy bills are crushing families, and what do we get on TV? Wall-to-wall repeats and recycled rubbish. No joy. No escape. No Christmas spirit. This will be a live, interactive stream — say what you think, argue back, or just vent. Because if we can't talk honestly anymore, then Christmas really is dead.

Drawing from John 15 and 16, he emphasized three key principles: making Jesus our foundation, recognizing our true belonging to God rather than the world, and developing deep and wide roots in our faith. He described the Christian life as a well-watered garden, thriving even in persecution. The message challenged us to consider if we face persecution for genuine faith or mere religious behavior, highlighting that true belonging to Christ sets us apart from worldly systems and empty religion.   ☞ BIBLE APP NOTES https://www.bible.com/events/49520126   ☞ GROUP LEADER GUIDE https://page.church.tech/274affff   ☞ NEXT STEPS

☞ ABOUT THIS MESSAGE Jim shares God's strategy for cultural transformation through Ezekiel's vision of a life-giving river from God's throne. This river starts as a trickle but grows deeper, bringing life to dead places. As we stay rooted in surrender at God's throne, His living water flows through us, making us like flourishing trees that bear fruit and bring healing. Instead of policing morality, we're called to overflow with the fruit of the Spirit. Jim encourages us to examine our relationship with God's throne and become sources of life and renewal in our communities.   ☞ BIBLE APP NOTES https://www.bible.com/events/49513421   ☞ GROUP LEADER GUIDE https://page.church.tech/aa45c3e1   ☞ NEXT STEPS

Segment 1 • Sanctification isn't “just stop it” — it's put off and put on (Eph 4:22-24). • True change means replacing sin with Spirit-driven habits. • If you're dry, bitter, or hurting — don't wait to feel it; start doing what grows desire. Segment 2 – The Math of Holiness • Dr. Greg Gifford explains the biblical equation: Put off + Put on = Growth. • Sanctification isn't just subtraction alone; holiness must also be put on. • Lasting change happens when obedience fills the space sin used to occupy. Segment 3 – The Trojan Horse in Your Church • “Contextualization” can smuggle worldliness into worship. • The church loses it's unique purpose as salt and light when it trades truth for relatability. • Baby-talk preaching creates baby-faith Christians. Segment 4 • Paul's “all things” meant removing cultural barriers, not rewriting the gospel. • Contextualization becomes compromise when it reshapes truth to fit culture. • Faithful preaching feeds sheep, not the world. ___ Thanks for listening!
