The real Ark of Safety is our Holy Relationship. This transcends the body. It ends the sense of separation. There is a Wholeness that is our Reality. There is no separation. Our true Will is one with our Creator's Will. There is no Will but God's. We do not exist apart from this Will, therefore God's Will is our Will. It is one of Absolute, Unconditional Love.

Who is our Friend? The appointed Friend is the Christ that God has given us to look upon our true Self. He is the Self we share, who never forgot his Holy Relationship with His Creator. He never fell out of His state of Divine Inner Joy.  This “Appointed Friend" is always here for us, but we seem to be endlessly distracted in the workings of the world, in which we are pursuing some kind of "nirvana" to replace this Friend. Can we drop all of that futile seeking that has brought us sorrow and disappointment in the end, instead of Divine Joy?  Can we accept the fact that the Christ is here for us? NOW. In the actions that did bring us Pure Joy, He was fully there. We make room to receive Him on the Throne of his Holy Home. In so doing we prepare a seat for ourselves in the Heaven of our present happiness that requires no more “pursuit." Our Present Happiness is our inheritance of accepting this “Appointed Friend" in our life. We give the Christ attention as the main pillar in our one and only Holy Relationship. This is transferable, then, to every Relationship we will ever have, or hope to have.

There is a light in everyone. Will we look for this in our brother? It is in our Mind. We give attention to this light. Our immortal Self is this Light. It is intertwined with our true identity, and we extend this to our brothers. There is no limitation. We need not concern ourselves so much with the body when we make the Mind our priority, and we see our Mind is automatically joined with God and our Brothers and Sisters. We are connected in this Creation. Therefore, whatever we do in a Holy Relationship transmits innocence and forgiveness to others. We see we are the same, and how we treat one another is how we treat ourselves. The Mind's Oneness is how we connect with everyone. We are as God created us in this Holy Relationship. The truth of our Light abides in it.

This Podcast completes Section I in Chapter 22, The message of the Holy Relationship. Our communication in this newly realized Holy Relationship, transformed from the unholy one, is like a baby's. But we are enveloped in this Holiness even though we have not mastered the language. That comes in time, and we are learning our native tongue in miracles. The rebirth of this new Holy Relationship has to be given patience. It has its source in the Self we are, that is very ancient and has always been with us. We wake it up in a Holy Relationship. This new awareness is like a Child reborn. The rebirth of the Self is most effectively awakened in the Holy Relationship. This is the Holy Christ Himself reborn into us, who truly joins in Holiness with our brothers as our Self.

A Holy Relationship is perfectly understandable to our true vision of our own holiness. Free of fear and doubt, anger and separation, the Holy Relationship is focused on healing, and brings love and understanding to our vision. Yet, if we slip into judging another who "offends" us, and do not see his misdemeanors as a "call for help," we are not aligned with our Creator's Will. That Will overlooks all mistakes, does not judge, and has compassion equally for all that is created, regardless of any errors. It's hard to imagine the ego speaks a language of grievances, judgment, and attack thoughts that break all communication with our Divine Self. The message of the Holy Relationship is our Oneness with our "enemies," because our "enemy" is our own Self. When that "sameness" is seen, we have no more enemies.

Salvation and the Holy Relationship is the new Chapter 22 we start today. The Introduction points out how much we have enslaved ourselves to the belief in "sin." We feel limited and guilty within ourselves, but project it onto others through blame and condemnation to try to "get rid of it." All the thoughts of the ego are the same. Though "sin" is the same mistake in everyone, everyone makes up his own "version" of it to make it "real." It is the Holy Relationship that is introduced here. An unholy relationship is based on differences and lack. Each person in the relationship thinks the "other" has something that he has not. Each person feels a lack in himself that another would complete, because he thinks he is not whole, and someone else can complete him. The holy Relationship is the answer. Two people Happy and Whole come together to share their light. There is no lack. God created us whole and complete already.

Fr. Mike expands on the passage we read in Proverbs, and emphasizes how important it is to surround ourselves with people who are striving towards holiness. He also reflects on the book of Isaiah, and how these last couple of stories show that God's justice is always aligned with his infinite mercy. The Temple of the Holy Spirit is not a body, but a Relationship. An the most KEY Relationship is the Holy one we have with our Creator. This is the most important union necessary, because in this union is the Holy Union we form with everyone else. Our Holy Relationship looks beyond the demonstrations of the body, at the heart of Love which Created us. Our God Created Self is a Thought in the Mind of God, and it is there we join to be One with all of Creation. Having the right Identification is essential. Use of the Body after this Union of the Spirit has been achieved, will produce the Beauty that reflects this Holy Relationship. Only Peace and Joy could result. Only Forgiveness and Atonement could undo all of our errors in perception. We have the means to be absolved of our errors and make contact with Truth, our Sacred Self.

The Holy Relationship, fully realized, gives us the Heralds of Eternity. Both persons become the closest to their own real Self. Joining with the Christ in our Relationship is a timeless action. Each Herald of Eternity is the end of sin and fear, and the peace and joy that is welcome comes to the forefront. Far beyond the value of our judgment, the Holy Relationship is the means by which the truth is simply seen and known. Judgment and Vision cannot occupy the same mind, so we must choose one or the other. One Holy Instant with one brother is enough to invite these Heralds of Eternity. The loveliness of the Holy Relationship's "limitless forgiveness" cleanses away all that is not Eternal in you. We are the beneficiaries of this Holy Relationship with one who is in our life now. The Christ is with us and He purifies us in this, the greatest Gift—a Holy Relationship.

We were created by God for relationship. To be in relationship with Him and those around us. How do we enter into healthy and holy relationships? Today we unpack what the Bible has to say! Tune in today.

The Obstacles to Peace need to be overcome. This is the second obstacle, The belief that the body is valuable for what it offers. We are attached to the body, and we "identify" with it, and make the mistake of associating the body with our Self. We see death as the final "freedom" in this thought system of suffering, and we equate Atonement with "murder." Love is associated with the "fear of death.” If love is the release of all suffering, and we believe the final release is death, then we are afraid of this "death” simultaneously. I would follow then, that fear and love are inevitably together. This mortal thought system has fear as its basis. It clings to the "feast of fear and guilt" in which belief in the body as our Identity can engage. We surmount this obstacle in the Heaven of our real Sacred Home, in our Holy Relationship with the immortal and unlimited Christ in us. There is no death, and Life is in a state of absolute Peace and Joy.

This begins the important Section in Chapter 19, "The Obstacles to Peace." Peace is within us, but there are "obstacles" to our awareness of Peace that we impose, and also experience in the world "outside of us." We have to see the Holy Spirit in our Brother in order to reap the benefits of the Holy Relationship, and thus come to the inner peace that we are after. Study of A Course in Miracles is "interactive" in our Relationships with people. We cannot hope to feel the love of God within us if there are people with whom we hold grievances and judgments. Our anger and judgments are blocks to our Spiritual Connection. At some point we decide to drop of ego's thought system for the Holy Spirit's Thought System that is consistent with God's Peace and Joy. Which would we rather have? Heaven or Hell? This decision is in our Mind to make.

"I need do nothing" is a direction from the Holy Spirit that clears away all of our activity that produces no real contact with our Reality. The real purpose of meditation is to make this contact directly, and it is not necessarily a "set of actions" we must take to join with our inner truth. The means we are given is the Holy Relationship in which we join instantly with our brother and end all notions of separation we have from our original innocence. "Guilt" no longer attracts us in our "fight" to liberate ourselves from inner conflicts. The "fight" is an arduously long road to free ourselves from "sin." If "sin" is not real, and the methods we use to free ourselves from this "self judgment" take too long to accomplish, it is only necessary for us to "stop doing" what does not work. We "need do nothing" is a realization that frees us from all meaningless activity. The present moment may present a "conflict" to undo, but even in this we can allow the Holy Spirit to guide us and do the "work." One instant truly spent with joining our brother, gives us the "ultimate release." This proves all other methods superfluous and not needed.

The Light that we have denied is still in us. The goal is the advance from Fear to Truth, the goal of true Knowledge. The goal is Light. Even though we had forgotten that the Light was always in us, this is not enough to blot out the Light, which is not distinguishable. You cannot put out the Light that God created in you. The downside of the ego is very well described so we can see it and let it go. Jesus often points out the depth of our illusion, which is the very Light we need to shine away our errors. We need not feel trapped, or feel "guilty" for the subtlety of the ego's modus operandi. We can then choose to walk away from the "self-deception" that has us fooled. We can hold our brother's hand and let go of all judgments and grievances. In this joining with our brother we invite the Christ into our Holy Relationships. The desire for Holiness is all we need acknowledge. The joining with our brother (to whom we have grievances) acknowledges his right to enter heaven with me. In this "joining" invokes the Christ to walk with us. This Christ brings the Holiness with Him at your invitation.

When we turn over a special relationship to the Holy Spirit's purpose for healing, the Holy Relationship is the result of the transformation that comes about. In the first stage of this transformation we go through an unsettling period when our old "motives” are coming to an end. The growing pain of this discomfort requires faith to persevere. The goal is set with sanity as its purpose, but the ego wants to cut off the relationship for a new one with the same ego motives. We are asked to have patience and trust that the Holy Spirit is in charge, even in the midst of challenges that are for our own learning of the Holy Relationship. This is the time to maintain faith that the relationship is ascending to a higher level. The Special Relationship is coming to an end, and the Holy Relationship is being born in a new Purpose.

The Holy Relationship is in great contrast to the Special Relationship. Set in an elaborate and bedazzled frame, the Special Relationship is a collection of dismal fears, guilts, and anger that ends in the despair of death. Only the elaborate frame gives it any illusion of desirability. Yet the death that the picture represents is meaningless, and not even there in reality. Were it not for the illusions of the frame that seems so glitteringly "real," we would dismiss this picture as worthless. It is the Holy Relationship that offers us a true picture of Life and Loveliness. God is at its heart, and our relationship to the Life of our Creator is the Force that sustains us eternally. Realized in our Holy Relationships with our Brothers, we can restore our awareness to God in the very Relationships we once tried to make special. "To make happy" is the purpose of all Holy Relationships. For God is realized there. And God is Life, and Happiness, and Love all applied to the very people we hold dear in our time here on earth.

The function of all of God's Relationships is "to make happy." The function of the special relationship of the ego is ultimately death. Is this a real choice? The Holy Relationship is aligned with God's will for us, which is "perfect happiness." The ego's relationships are always alert to "threat." There is no threat in the Holy Relationship. We look at two pictures here. The one gives us a special relationship of problems and delusions, and the Holy Relationship is our way out of this dilemma. The choice is ours to make. Why not decide now for the Holy Spirit's function to make us Happy?

What would it be like to have the Christ in all of our Relationships? In fact, this primary Relationship we have with our higher Self is the starting point for all Holy Relationships. The result would have to be happiness, because God's will for us is "perfect happiness," and the function of all relationships is to "make happy." In this Sunday Talk the invocation of the Christ into all of our relationships is discussed. And we can make contact directly with this "Higher Self" we share. We decide to be guided by this Self, and the result would have to be pure joy. What is not joy is only there to forgive. The Christ will restore us to Joy. Amen.

Our Holy Relationship with the HOLY SPIRIT, the Christ, and with GOD is the only real Relationship. All of our Relationships in life depend on the right mindedness we establish in this Holy Relationship. We are redeemed when we are free of our ego's voice of littleness, and we are listening to the voice of our Higher Self that is in Communication with our Creator. God gives us the entire Sonship, so everyone is in our universal “Brotherhood" that JOINS us in the Christ Consciousness. DIVINE LOVE is the whole basis for Love. Our "special relationships" are transformed into holy ones with the DIVINE LOVE brought to our attention by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Instant is the means by which we enter into this sacred dimension. There is no "separation," therefore, our Minds are returned to communication with our Creator which is the only Real Relationship.

The Altar of God is the place for releasing the inner light of the Atonement. Perceiving the "body" in terms of a temple relies on the inner Altar of Truth that is a holy relationship between us and the Christ Self and God. Any real temple will have an Alar of this Holy Relationship. The separation and fear are ended at this Altar. The Atonement is the defense against the separation. All errors are forgiven. At the center of the Altar of God, the separation is ended.

Sudie speaks about removing the blocks to the awareness of love's presence with her personal experience of the Holy Relationship and how her mind came to exist in a state of forgivneness, acceptance and love. 3. The Practice of Psychotherapy III. The Question of Payment The holy relationship of the Psychotherapist and the Patient is not entered into for the money. Yet, an exchange may take place. The Therapist gives what he may see is needed, in terms of Forgiveness in himself and his patient, to take them both to a more sane place. The patient may supply the money the Therapist needs in order to do his work of this holy exchange. But all value is in the Holy Relationship in which the Therapist and Patient are seen as equals in the eyes of God, and all "thoughts that hurt" are forgiven in both, restoring both to JOY, and having a full healing of all pain and suffering.

Gila Golub joins us again for her second episode and this time introduces the concept of Holy Relationships, which is rooted in the willingness to see the wholeness, completeness, and innocence of both self and others. She explains that most people are trapped in special relationships, which are rooted in fear-based parenting and a belief system that is based on performance and fear. Today belongs to Love with our Brother. In that state of Holy Relationship, there is only Love; there is nothing to fear.

In this week's episode we are exploring the maximum manifestation of love we are able to experience in our human lives: The Holy Relationship.  Most human relationships are what Shane refers to as ego-entanglements, which are basically manipulative arrangements made through the ego to have it's perceived needs met.  These are castles made of sand that eventually wash into the sea because they aren't founded in anything real.  The Holy Relationship is a representation of true love.  In this episode, we learn what that relationship is and understand the process of growing into it.
