The Church of the Holy Trinity is a historic Episcopal Church in downtown Nashville just blocks from the Rescue Mission. It was established in 1852 as a "free" church for Black Episcopalians in the area known as South Nashville. It was listed on the National Historic Register in 1972 and will celebrate its 175th anniversary in 2027. In preparation for a year of celebrations, Rector Bill Dennler has started a new worship service at 5pm on Saturday evenings. With the growth of both music venues and condominiums in the area, we hope that people will participate in a traditional Episcopal liturgy at the new time. Our first Saturday evening service was this past Saturday, and I was honored to be the lector, appointed to read the Old and New Testament readings. As I started on the reading from Deuteronomy, I realized I had some competition to be heard both by those in attendance and those on-line. The noise was coming from a "pedal tavern" passing by on Sixth Avenue South. For my readers who are not from Nashville, a "pedal tavern" is a tourist attraction where a group of 10-20 people rent a party bike and pedal their way through Nashville as they drink, sing songs, and listen to a guide who takes them on a lively tour, usually sharing secrets from Broadway's legendary Honky Tonks. Rev. Dennler tells me that the church is on the route for all the pedal taverns as there is a popular liquor store just up the street. I could hear the music but couldn't recognize the tune. I could tell it wasn't good background music for a reading from Deuteronomy. But, It was strangely comforting that amidst our noisy, chaotic world, I was relishing in a familiar liturgy among friends. Although I relish my time in silent retreats, it is always a worship service that is right in the middle of the world's chaos that nourishes me the most. Come join us. An oasis in the desert at 5PM every Saturday. Blessings, my friend, Agatha Address:Church of the Holy Trinity615 Sixth Ave. SouthNashville, TN 37203

The link is pinned to the top of the shows social media pages. This podcast could not be possible without the amazing anonymous contributions of listeners like you! HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT 1: What's a song lyric that you thought was one thing but was something completely different? How did you find out? How long were you singing the wrong lyric? Be as vague or specific as you like. HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT 2: Listen to 1 album per week (52 for the year), start to finish, in it's entirety, that you've never listened to before. The only rules are they have to be full length albums. No 5-song ep's and no Greatest Hits compilations. It can even be an album that you have SOME familiarity with. As long as it's a full length album, and one you've never listened to in its entirety before, it counts.

Today on another encore edition of the Rarified Heir Podcast, we are talking to Lisa Sutton, daughter of singer Lynn Anderson & music producer Glenn Sutton. Lisa grew up in Nashville, home to her parents and their ‘Countrypolitan sound' they helped make famous. What's countrypolitan you ask? Good question. It's definitely country music but typically with lush string arrangements, an orchestra and a more stylized sound than what country music is known for prior. It's a sound her Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame father and her mother Lynn made famous with the massive Joe South penned hit “I Never Promised You a Rose Garden.” We also talk to Lisa about her perhaps lesser known but perhaps more influential grandparents Casey Anderson and Liz Anderson whose roots in country music as songwriters, performers and connectors led them to a fortuitus meeting with the poet of the common man, Merle Haggard. He gave them their start. Of course we talk roses – it's a theme in Lisa's life that connects back to her mom's massive hit, horses, the National Enquirer and how her father's songs were recorded by everyone from The Louvin Brothers to Etta James. Fans of country music rejoice, we have a winner on this episode of the Rarified Heir Podcast with Lisa Sutten. Take a listen.

(Jesus And The Bunk Beds) *** It has been told that once you are aware of black eyed children, there is no escaping a visit from them… which is exactly what happened to one woman in Las Vegas. (Black Eyed Omens of Death) *** When ghost hunting, sometimes you'll end the hunt with nothing to show for it – until you begin reviewing the recordings later, as one Ohio ghost hunter found out. (A Strange Graveyard Ghost Hunting Incident In Ohio) *** Martin Scorsese's 2002 movie “The Gangs of New York”, based on the book of the same name, is loosely based on real events… events that may be even more brutal than the movie itself. (The Killing of Bill The Butcher) *** Why are major league baseball players so superstitious? And what does that have to do with haunted hotel? (Superstation, Pro Baseball, and Haunted Houses) *** In June 1977, three young campers were brutally murdered in their tent, creating a mystery that has never been solved. (The Camp Scott Girl Scout Massacre) *** Every day a six-year-old has some kind of paranormal experience, something different every day. Is it a ghost, or just her anxiety? (Ghost Or Anxiety) *** A little girl comes across something bizarre when she gets up in the middle of the night for a drink of water. (Strangers In My Kitchen) *** A woman feels a presence sneak onto the bed with her. (Something Climbed Into Bed With Me) *** A George Michael song unleashes something creepy. (A Strange Phone Call From The Future) *** Terrified residents of a rural Oregon town are reporting hearing an unearthly loud shrieking noise piercing out from the surrounding countryside at night that no one can explain. (The Mystery Shrieks of Oregon) *** In a quiet hamlet north of New York City, darkness grew. From a shining Utopia to a terrifying asylum. (The Chilling Story Behind New York's Letchworth Village) *** The grisly history of Bobby Mackey's nightclub includes murder, suicide, and rumors of Satanic sacrifice. (Honky Tonk of Horrors) *** Dr. Adolph Ruth disappeared in rugged mountains in search of lost treasure. Seven months later the finally found his body – as well as a cryptic letter. (Adolph Ruth and the Dutchman's Gold) *** A group of friends decide to rent a trailer together to live in… but one of them almost instantly regrets it. (Demon In The Trailer Park) *** Sightings of Bigfoot or Sasquatch are prevalent in the Americas, but it appears Asia may have a similar beast. (Big Foot And The Gang) *** A boy comes across a beast in the woods – but not a beast of fur, walking on two or four legs. This one wasn't even an animal. (Walking Tree Man) *** A woman dying of cancer in the hospital mysteriously appears to her son at home, and he wasn't the only one to get a visit. (A Haunting And a Dream) *** A family shopping at a yard sale bring home something very non-family-friendly.
