Meditation on Scripture: Many times we speak of the word of God as though it refers to the Bible or some specific knowledge imparted by the Bible. The Word means something far greater. The Word existed from the beginning at it was with God and it was God. The act of creation occurred through the Word. The word brings order. The Word organizes chaos. The Word sets truth. The Word declares what is righteous. The Word declares victory over sin and death. The Word represents more than just information it represents consciousness. God was conscious before the world began and will be forever after it is gone. As Christians we recognize the priority and identity of God in all these things. And in the act of creation we were made in the image of God. We were breathed into us the breath of life, the light of the human race. We have consciousness. Our role as agents is a reflection of the light of Christ that shines in the darkness. We did not come to where we are without God and we certainly cannot get to where God wants us to be without this same influence. When we ponder on how our life needs to change, it need not be from a place of shame but of one that embraces the role of the breath of life God gave us. I hope that we can feel peaceful growth this year and always through Christ our Lord. He will guide us to what is most important as we humbly listen. Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Neville GoddardThe Sower2/5/65 Tonight's subject is “The Sower.” You've all read about it in scripture. And a sower went forth to sow. He scattered his seed on a variety of soils and some were fertile, some were barren, some were highways, some were rocks, and so on (Luke 8:10). Tonight, let me say that every physical effect has a spiritual cause and not a physical. The physical cause only seems; it is a delusion. Everything that happens in our world comes into being because of a spiritual cause. And by spiritual let me say, not some strange thing that you've been taught to believe is spiritual…just sit quietly and imagine; that's a spiritual act. You may not know that's causation but that is causation. And when it happens in your world, because of the shortness of memory you may relate it to some physical event that preceded it and think that was the cause of it; and it isn't so at all. Every physical event in the world has a spiritual cause and not a physical. But our memories are short and we do not relate the physical effect to the unseen and possibly forgotten spiritual cause. But, as we are told, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows, that shall he reap” (Gal. 6:7). Let me tell you, as far as your promise goes which is God has promised man to give himself to man, that is already planted. You can't stop that. That's completely unconditional. Every child born of woman is destined to be God. That's already done. For if all ends run true to origins and our origin is God, the end is God. That's already done. The promise came first and no one in the world can deprive you of the fulfillment of that because it's unconditional. Hasn't a thing to do with your position in this world—-what you've accomplished, what you are now doing, what you hope to do—it's completely unconditional. So every child born of woman is destined to be God…completely unconditional. But while we're here in the world of Caesar we're given a law and the law is conditional: As we sow, so we reap. The WordNeville Goddard3/2/1965 If I titled it, I would call it “The Word.” We're told in the 17th chapter of the Book of Luke that “he came to a certain village and ten lepers raised their voices and said, ‘Master, have mercy on us' and looking at them he said, ‘Go and show yourselves to the priests.' As they went they were cleansed” (verse 12). So every word of scripture is a message to us, for the Bible is simply the word of God that would not keep silent and could be expressed in no other way…just poured through those who were qualified to receive it. So in this simple little story you and I could transform our entire world if we could only extract its message. What is the story trying to tell us? When you hear the word “leper” you think of some unclean person who is put aside from society and they cannot mingle with man because they are unclean, and it's contagious. But you and I have been put aside and ostracized socially, financially, intellectually, ostracized in a thousand ways…and we are the lepers. So what is this story trying to tell us? He said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” Well, in the ancient world the priest was not only the one who instructed man in the word of God, he was also the physician, and only a certificate of approval from him could allow one who was ostracized to mingle freely with the crowd. So show yourself to the priests and if he approves of your cleanliness, he will give you that certificate of approval; then you can mingle freely with the crowd. And as they went they were cleansed. What a story! You and I as we are here, suppose now we were embarrassed, say, financially, how would I take this story and become cleansed of that poverty and find myself in a sense of security, how would I do it? First of all, there is an action here: To produce the new requires a complete rearrangement of the furniture of the mind. Well, the furniture of my mind, your mind, our minds, is simply those that we know. We have friends, we have relatives, and all of these people, all really, are bits of furniture in the mind. Any rearrangement would change meaning, wouldn't it, but any rearrangement. And so, were I tonight in an office and I desired a higher position in that office with greater responsibility and more income, I would in my mind's eye see the same office and see myself occupying a different position in that office. And that change would automatically change me relative to everyone in that office. Everyone would have to see me differently, for I would see them differently. ___(??) I now see everyone differently in that state. And just make them, for one little moment, just make them remain stationary in my mind's eye as I would set you up for a portrait. If I'm going to take a picture of you, I would ask you to pose in a certain way; when I get it just right, then I'll snap it. So in my mind's eye I make it, I make this rearranged structure of the mind, remaining stationary long enough for me to actually take a picture of it, a mental picture. You look at it mentally and you inhale until you feel a sense of relief. A peculiar thrill goes through you. For all of the pleasures of the world, relief is the most keenly felt. I think anyone has had this…anyone here undoubtedly you've had this experience…you're waiting for someone to come home and they are late, and you love them…could be a child. But they're late. It's an hour late, maybe it's two hours. You get more and more tense. Then you hear the familiar footsteps or the familiar voice and that relief that comes…there is no pleasure in the world comparable to relief. In this particular broadcast, we will be continuing the theme of "Seeking The Lord" as we deal with Resolution #9 as found in Psalm 27:4 which says - "One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in His temple."

In this particular broadcast, we will begin the new theme of "Seeking The Lord" as we deal with Resolution #8 as found in Psalm 27:8 which says - "When Thou saidst, Seek ye My face; my heart said unto Thee, Thy face, O LORD, will I seek." "What a contrast is this clear resolve to the indecisions and hesitations so common amongst us." (The Biblical Illustrator) The only way to overcome these two hurdles of "indecisions" and "hesitations" is to have a clear resolve. You have a choice! You can respond to God's call today to "Seek ye My face" with "I will," or you can ignore it or pretend you never heard it and in a sense be saying - "I won't." What will it be?

By resting your confidence on the character of God as seen in Psalm 27:1 which says - "The LORD is my light and my salvation...the LORD is the strength of my life..."

Here is my New Series entitled - "In The Beginning Was The Word." We are dealing with the theme of "Resolutions" as found in the book of Psalms. (If there was ever a day and an hour when the Church needed to have a made-up mind, it is NOW!) This initial resolution deals with David's resolve - "I will" - as found in Psalm 23:6.
