864 They Will Heed Your Voice, A Guided Christian Meditation on Exodus 3:16-19 with the Recenter With Christ app The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in  and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ.  Outline: Relaxation, Reading, Meditation, Prayer, Contemplation and Visualization.  You can sit comfortably and uninterrupted for about 20 minutes. You should hopefully not be driving or anything tense or unrelaxing.  If you feel comfortable to do so, I invite you to close your eyes.   Guided Relaxation / Guided Meditation:   Breathe and direct your thoughts to connecting with God. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate,  deflate. Scripture for Meditation Exodus 3 NKJV 16 Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, 'The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, "I have surely visited you and seen what is done to you in Egypt; 17 and I have said I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey." ' 18 Then they will heed your voice; and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt; and you shall say to him, 'The Lord God of the Hebrews has met with us; and now, please, let us go three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.' 19 But I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not even by a mighty hand. 2 RSV 16 Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, 'The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, "I have observed you and what has been done to you in Egypt; 17 and I promise that I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt, to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Per′izzites, the Hivites, and the Jeb′usites, a land flowing with milk and honey."' 18 And they will hearken to your voice; and you and the elders of Israel shall go to the king of Egypt and say to him, 'The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us; and now, we pray you, let us go a three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.' 19 I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless compelled by a mighty hand. Reflection on Scripture: God called Moses to listen to the voice of a burning bush in the wilderness and from the beginning God told him that the people would accept him and that the Pharaoh would not. God knew with precision what would be required to deliver His people from bondage and He told Moses all about it. This was an unknown blessing. Moses did not understand the blessing that he was given. He was given the answer for how it would pan out. Many times in our lives we take steps into what seems to be darkness to our eyes. There have been many times in my life and my ministry where I feel I have gotten only a small partial direction without any indication of what would happen. In fact my whole journey to become a Chaplain took me a total of 8 years and I had no assurance that my path would end in success as it has.  Invariably I suspect for most things God directs us to do we will not get clear direction on the outcome. DIcernment in and of itself is a valuable thing. After we are reasonably assured we have been given a direction the battle is not over. We have to just roger up and do the best we can and stay open to further guidance God gives us along the way. Moses was told the people would listen and that Pharaoh would only respond when compelled but many times Moses didn't know what was coming next.  God invites us into a relationship of trust. He had no such relationship with king of Epypt. So in this situation although it would be very challenging to be Moses, it would be far worse to be the king who opposed him, who opposed God. So the invitation stands to each of us. Do we respond to the call of the Lord or do we choose what our human passions desire? Do we bravely wade into the deep waters, sustained by a God of wonders or do we cower in fear hiding from the Lord? I know what I want that answer to be for me, what is left is actually doing it.  Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Meditation of God and His Glory / Hesychasm: I invite you to sit in silence feeling patient for your own faults and trials. Summarize what insights you have gained during this meditation and meditate and visualize positive change in your life: This is a listener funded podcast at patreon.com/christianmeditationpodcast Final Question: If you consider the invitation and command to persevere in the faith, what change in your life does that bring to your mind?  FIND ME ON: Download my free app: Recenter with Christ Website - ChristianMeditationPodcast.com Voicemail - (602) 888-3795 Email: jared@christianmeditationpodcast.com Apple Podcasts - Christian Meditation Podcast Facebook.com/christianmeditationpodcast Youtube.com/christianmeditaitonpodcast Twitter - @ChristianMedPod

Let your stomach be a balloon inflate,  deflate. Scripture for Meditation Exodus 3 KJV 13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you. 15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. ESV 3 Then Moses said to God, "If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' what shall I say to them?" 14 God said to Moses, "I am who I am." And he said, "Say this to the people of Israel: 'I am has sent me to you.'" 15 God also said to Moses, "Say this to the people of Israel: 'The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations. Reflection on Scripture: It is difficult even to know exactly which way to go when thinking through this passage. It is heavy and simple at the same time. Moses had a legitimate problem. He didn't even know how to refer to God. He did not know God's name. He presented it as a tactical problem. How could he preach belief in a God without a full understanding of who God is. The simplicity and complexity is that God's response is not specific. On the one hand it represents an actual thing Moses could pass on as a solution for this question but on the other it is not a formal name. In fact it is much deeper. It is the essence of being.  In greek the phrase would have been written as Ego Eimi which is just I am or I exist. It is the essence of being. And also it is declarative. In contrast with the human notion of existing that we exist because we can do or think. God exists because he exists. We come into existence by God's hand in creation, and He exists. There is not criteria for proof given in this declaration, just the certainty of His eternal existence.  This became such a profound statement from God such that when Jesus later said in the book of John "Before Abraham was, I AM" the people instantly grabbed rocks to stone him for blasphemy. He equated Himself to be the one who spoke to Moses in this experience with the Burning Bush. The most important statement God wanted to make to the people is. I am here, and I am me. And that is the declarative statement that should be rend us to our soul. God exists. God is here. He is who He is and it is our great blessing to slowly gain understanding of what that means for the rest of our lives and into eternity.   Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate,  deflate. Scripture for Meditation Exodus 3 NIV 10 So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt." 11 But Moses said to God, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?" 12 And God said, "I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain." RSV 10 Come, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring forth my people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt." 11 But Moses said to God, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?" 12 He said, "But I will be with you; and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought forth the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God upon this mountain." Reflection on Scripture: Moses felt genuine and well placed self doubt. He knew that his own influence would not be enough to do what was in front of him. He knew that Pharaoh would not listen to him and do what he was being asked to do. He was quite literally being asked to do something that is impossible. Pumping himself up to believe he could do the impossible would be pointless. Sometimes in this world we get the message that all we have to do is manifest things by believing in them and that makes them come true. God invited Moses into something else. He said "I will be with you". It is the presence of the Lord that makes impossible things possible. When you encounter some massive issue in your life it doesn't even matter if you can even overcome the issue yourself. The message here though is that with God it is possible. When you feel overpowered, turn your confidence to the all powerful God of heaven.  The sign that God gives is that Moses will serve Him on the mountain. The answer to what is impossible is not your strength or wisdom, or anything else you do. Your talents do matter but they are not what make the real difference. The life saving difference. Let God prevail in your life. This meditation is your weekly reminder to put your confidence in your God. When your power fails, that does not mean that all power fails. AI Speed vs. Human Learning: It's Alarming

Hey rockstar,In the last piece, we explored why AI “fast money” shortcuts leave so many people feeling numb, overwhelmed, and disconnected — and why the real foundation of a sustainable business is still connection, care, and community. There's a closely related piece almost nobody is talking about:If numbness is what erodes your relationships, joy and wealth creation from the inside out, curiosity is what brings it back to life. Not just as a nice idea — but as a literal learning rate for your brain and your purpose.“Hey, before we jump in - when you get a moment, hit reply and tell me…. What's the #1 thing you're struggling with right now?The Number That Should Stop Every Purpose Driven Wealth Creation - ColdA developmental psychologist at Williams College tracked how many questions children ask per hour.At age five, the average kid asks 107 questions per hour. They're relentless. Why is the sky blue? Why do dogs have tails? Why does grandma's hair turn white? Their brains are running at full throttle, pulling in data from every direction. Then school starts.* By first grade, the entire class asks 2.3 questions per hour — combined.* By fifth grade? 0.48 questions per hour. Less than one question every two hours from a room full of eleven-year-olds.In one observation, kids were experimenting with an old-fashioned balance scale, genuinely doing science. The teacher shut it down: “Enough of that. I'll give you time to experiment at recess. There's no time for experiments now. We're doing science.”Read that again. No time for experiments… during science class. The researcher's conclusion is brutal: if you lose your curiosity by age 11, you probably don't get it back.I disagree on one thing. I think you can get it back. But you have to understand what curiosity actually is, neurologically. And that's where it gets interesting — especially for anyone trying to build something real in the AI era.Your Brain Is a Large Language Model (No, Really)The more I create custom services and learn about how advanced AI models work, the more clear it becomes: your brain is running the same basic algorithm.Consider the parallels:* Your brain has roughly 86 billion neurons connected by an estimated 100 trillion synapses.* GPT-4 has approximately 1.8 trillion parameters across its mixture-of-experts architecture.* Both are massive pattern-recognition networks.* Both learn by prediction. Here's how an LLM trains: it reads a sentence, predicts the next word, checks whether it was right, and adjusts its internal weights. Right answer? Strengthen that pathway. Wrong answer? Weaken it, try again. Billions of repetitions, trillions of adjustments.Your brain does the same thing.Every experience is a prediction. You reach for a coffee cup and predict its weight. You start a sentence and predict how the other person will react. When reality matches your prediction, your synapses strengthen. When it doesn't, your brain recalibrates. Neuroscientists call this predictive coding.A 2024 study found LLMs become more advanced, their internal representations actually become more similar to human brain activity during speech processing.Your brain is the original foundation model — pre-trained by evolution, fine-tuned by experience. But here's the critical difference:An LLM's learning rate is set by engineers. They decide how aggressively the model updates its weights in response to new data. Too high and it's unstable. Too low and it stops learning. In your brain, that learning rate has a name. It's called curiosity. And unlike an LLM, you can adjust it yourself.Curiosity as a Reward Signal: The Dopamine ConnectionUC Davis put people in an fMRI scanner and asked them trivia questions. What they found — published in the journal Neuron — changed our understanding of how curiosity works. When participants were highly curious, their ventral tegmental area (VTA) and nucleus accumbens lit up. These are the same brain regions activated by food, sex, and addictive drugs.Curiosity hijacks your reward circuitry. It's not a nice-to-have personality trait. It's a neurochemical event. But the more interesting finding was this: during the curious state, participants were shown random faces, completely unrelated to the trivia. Later, they remembered those faces significantly better than faces shown during low-curiosity moments.Curiosity didn't just help them learn the answer they wanted. It supercharged their memory for everything happening in that moment. This is exactly how reinforcement learning works in AI. When an LLM gets a reward signal through RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback), it doesn't just strengthen the specific output — The reward ripples through the network.Curiosity is your brain's RLHF. It's the reward signal that tells 86 billion neurons: pay attention, something important is happening, encode everything.Without that signal, your brain does what an untrained model does. It defaults to cached responses. You stop updating. You become, in AI terms, a frozen model.Curiosity Literally Keeps You AliveAnd this is about much more than learning faster. In 1996, researchers Gary Swan and Dorit Carmelli at SRI International followed 1,118 older men over five years as part of the Western Collaborative Group Study. They measured curiosity at baseline and tracked who survived. The result: highly curious people had significantly higher survival rates — even after controlling for age, smoking, cardiovascular disease, and other risk factors. They replicated the finding in 1,035 older women.Curiosity was directly associated with greater cognitive reserve — the brain's buffer against age-related decline.Curious brains keep building new connections. Incurious ones atrophy.Mindset is a biological variable. Curious people don't merely think differently — their brains physically maintain themselves better.Which means in business terms:The relentless drive to learn boosts your neurons and adaptability as much as any supplement or course. How We Lose Curiosity (And Why That Kills Businesses)We aren't born numb. However, school, social conditioning, and performance culture often suppress questioning. By the time most people start or grow a business, their curiosity has nearly vanished. We learn to:* Stop experimenting unless there's a guaranteed outcome* Protect what we already “know” instead of updating* Prioritize looking competent over actually learningLayer AI “shortcuts” on top of that and the effect compounds. You can ship more, post more, automate more — without ever engaging the deeper questions:* What is really happening in my market right now?* What are my clients actually struggling with beneath the surface?* Where am I out of alignment with what I'm selling?Without those questions, your wealth stops evolving in any meaningful way. You may still be iterating on tactics, but your inner model of reality is frozen.Numbness plus speed is just a faster way to hit the wall. The most dangerous thing that can happen to your brain — or your business — is to stop being surprised. How to Crank Your Learning Rate Back Up Five strategies for creative agency:1. Create information gaps intentionally. Curiosity arises when you know enough to spot gaps but not enough to fill them. Before meetings, read halfway through an article and enter with questions, not answers.2. Schedule daily “explore time.” Dedicate 30 minutes to learning about unfamiliar fields to keep your curiosity alive without aiming for expertise.3. Ask “dumb” questions among experts. Genuine learners ask for explanations, even in rooms full of accomplished people.4. Change your physical inputs. Perceptual and intellectual curiosity; try new routes, restaurants without menus, or confusing places to stimulate dopamine.5. Teach what you learn within 24 hours. Sharing knowledge helps organize and consolidate it—similar to fine-tuning data in LLMs.Curiosity, AI, and the “Whole Human” In a world obsessed with speed and automation, the temptation is to outsource not just your tasks, but your actual thinking — your contact with reality. But the future we actually want isn't built by numbed-out operators running frozen mental models, propped up by ever-fancier tools. It's built by people who are:* Awake enough to notice when they've gone numb* Curious enough to re-open the questions about what they're building* Grounded enough to use AI as support for their nervous systems and insight — not as a mask over their disconnectionThat's the through-line from the last piece to this one:* From extraction → to contribution* From performance → to presence* From “how do I hack the algorithm?” → to “how do I keep my own learning rate high enough to truly serve?”What This Means for YouIf you're an entrepreneur: Your competitive advantage isn't your product. It's your rate of learning. Build a culture that rewards questions over answers. Hire curious people over credentialed people. If you're an executive or practitioner: Schedule one hour a week to explore a field completely outside your industry. Those who survive disruption are the ones whose mental models are still updating. If you're investing in yourself: Bet on your curiosity the way a smart investor bets on a sole proprietor founder's adaptability. Curiosity predicts adaptability — and adaptability predicts survival. If you're a parent or leader of others: Count the questions in the room. If the number is dropping, the issue isn't the people — it's the environment. Protect spaces where real learning (which is always a little messy) is allowed. The Invitation to the Deeper MindLet the FOMO cool.Keep experimenting with AI — but pair every tool with a question:* What is this teaching me about my clients, my patterns, my assumptions?* Where am I tempted to go numb instead of stay curious?Rebuild your foundation with timeless ingredients: connection, care, community, and a living curiosity that aligns you with life—not just trends. Curiosity reconnects you with reality, countering numbness. That's how I use Generative AI in Oracle work: To awaken intuition, not replace it.When you open The Light Between Oracle, you enter an immersive experience blending symbolic language, somatic regulation, and guided integration—so insights land in your body, not just your mind. Here's the process:* You arrive scattered or braced.* The Oracle helps you downshift to hear yourself.* It reflects the clearest pattern at play.* You leave with one grounded step to take that day.The goal isn't more information—it's becoming someone whose inner model continually updates through presence, questions, and authentic connection. If you felt this piece in your bones, take the next step with me:Try The Light Between Oracle here: [Insert your link to the Oracle app]What you'll get from it:* Clarity without overwhelm (a focused prompt + practical direction)* Nervous system replenishment (so your guidance doesn't get drowned out by stress)* Better decisions through curiosity (questions that reopen your learning rate)* Aligned momentum (action that feels clean, not performative)* A daily wisdom + strategy practice you can actually sustainIf you want, hit reply and tell me what you're navigating right now—and I'll tell you the best place to start inside the Oracle. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate,  deflate. Scripture for Meditation Exodus 3 NIV The Lord said, "I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. 8 So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. 9 And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. NLT 7 Then the Lord told him, "I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers. Yes, I am aware of their suffering. 8 So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land. It is a land flowing with milk and honey—the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live. 9 Look! The cry of the people of Israel has reached me, and I have seen how harshly the Egyptians abuse them. Reflection on Scripture: I want you to stop everything you are thinking and hone in on this call from the Lord. I am aware of your suffering is what he says to you. I know what you have been through. This scripture points out that he could tell you clearly, I know your victories and your setbacks. I know your heart. I know what you need. I know what it takes to craft you into the image I want from you. Not only do I know all these things but I am strong. I am strong enough to save you. I have that power. The greatest challenge of all the one we should be most desperate for is a forgiveness of our sin.  Each one of us has weakness within our mind and heart. Take this moment to turn from that weakness toward the strength God offers. Working with people in the most challenging of circumstances has shown me again and again that each of us have our own story with plenty of deep valleys. As an example It has been a few weeks since I put out an episode. I got sick then had a family member in the hospital and then someone I minister to in a professional context was in the hospital. So I have had many things up in the air. And at the end of all that I ended up traveling to support a family member and I am not at home to celebrate Mother's Day with my wife. At certain points I have been quite low recently. And yet I know that my struggle is knot unknown to God. He knows it. And he lets these things happen because he knows what is required to cause us to grow. He knows what is required for us to overcome. Please trust the one who has power to save.  Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. 856 Take Your Sandals Off Your Feet, A Guided Christian Meditation on Exodus 3:4-6 with the Recenter With Christ app The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in  and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ. Scripture for Meditation Exodus 3 NIV 4 When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, "Moses! Moses!" And Moses said, "Here I am." 5 "Do not come any closer," God said. "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." 6 Then he said, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob." At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. NET 4 When the Lord saw that he had turned aside to look, God called to him from within the bush and said, "Moses, Moses!" And Moses said, "Here I am." 5 God said, "Do not approach any closer! Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." 6 He added, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." Then Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. Reflection on Scripture: Moses saw the burning bush and was curious. He turned toward the Lord. I love the way the Lord called to him. He called Moses by name twice. God called out to Moses personally by name. This scripture represents an interesting and valuable duality. On the one hand God calls to Moses in a personal way and in another he immediately turns and tells him to recognize the supremacy of God and God's holiness. God wants Moses to acknowledge the glory of God by taking off his shoes. God does not need to choose between being honored and pouring out immense and immeasurable love.  God clearly self identifies as the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob and at this moment Moses feels fear enough to hide his face. I think that this is the natural effect of people catching even a glimpse of the Glory of God but I also think that this is not the state that God wants us to move toward. I think he wants us to honor and respect but not fear in that sort of way.  I think there are some similarities between comparing a loved dog instead of a stray Coyote. God has lots of positive regard and profound deep love for us. He also demands that we respect His glory merits. I do think he wants this veneration with a heart full of love and gratitude. As humans we struggle with this dichotomy all throughout scripture. When we struggle and long for the pure love of God remember that God calls to you by name. He knows you and loves you. This profound and deep, perfect love does not require us to ignore the vast chasm of difference between God's perfect nature and glory and our weakened fallen human condition. Take a moment to ponder this deep and profound love that God has for you as his well known child and then turn in your heart to honor and venerate the Glory he represents.   Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. 854 Why Does The Bush Not Burn Up, A Guided Christian Meditation on Exodus 3:1-3 with the Recenter With Christ app The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in  and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ. Scripture for Meditation Exodus 3 NABRE 1 Meanwhile Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. Leading the flock beyond the wilderness, he came to the mountain of God, Horeb. 2 There the angel of the Lord appeared to him as fire flaming out of a bush. When he looked, although the bush was on fire, it was not being consumed. 3 So Moses decided, "I must turn aside to look at this remarkable sight. Why does the bush not burn up? 3 Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to the mountain of God, unto Horeb. 2 And the angel of Jehovah appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. 3 And Moses said, I will turn aside now, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. Reflection on Scripture: Moses had been living his life. It appears he was not very familiar with the workings of God and then suddenly God showed him something. God showed Moses a miraculous thing. Something that Moses could not understand. There was nothing in Moses' understanding that would allow him to comprehend or explain what he was seeing. It began with wonder. As he led his flock in the mountains he saw a bush which seemed to be on fire but was not consumed. Moses stopped what he was doing. He noticed the wonder. He did not create the situation. He did not make the Lord burn a bush. All he did was wonder at what he saw and he responded In our lives if we pay attention we can see the hand of the Lord, normally in much less subtle ways than for a prophet who was so central to God's plan with His children, nevertheless we get our own version of signs. The question I ponder is, am I looking for God's wonders? How often do I pass by a miracle from the Lord because I don't pause to wonder why that bush is burning so to speak. For Moses this experience was part of his call from God. Similarly you have a call from God. I don't know what yours is, perhaps you know and perhaps you don't. One thing that is crucial… Keep looking for God in your life.  He who has ears to hear let him listen. Let us listen with our ears to what God proclaims. Those answers often come from the scriptures are we are more likely to hear them if we pray to the Lord. So let us spend time in God's word and in prayer to God. Then when we see His word fulfilled or we read a passage that rings out from beyond, turn and look at that burning bush. Respond to the voice of the Lord.   Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. 31% of organisations dedicate less than 10 hours per month to oversight of AI-generated code

New research from leading cloud-native software artifact management platform Cloudsmith finds that, despite 93% of respondents' organizations using AI-generated code, 31% spend 10 hours or less per month validating, auditing, or securing it – including 5% who do not explicitly audit AI code at all. This, and other findings, released today in the Cloudsmith 2026 Artifact Management Report, highlight gaps in how organisations are managing risk across the modern software supply chain. A rise in software supply chain vulnerabilities The risks posed by weak software supply chain security have become increasingly clear in the past 12 months. With threat campaigns including Shai Hulud 2.0 and SANDWORM_MODE specifically targeting the software supply chain via upstream repositories, 44% of respondents have experienced a security incident caused by a third-party dependency. In the same time period, 44% of respondents reported their organisation spent over 50 hours per month investigating potential security issues linked to third-party dependencies, whether or not they resulted in a breach. Confidence in AI-generated code Confidence in AI-generated code is also lacking. 58% of respondents spend at least 11 hours per month validating and securing AI-generated code — rising to over 40 hours for 8% of respondents — as teams work to catch hidden dependencies and potential vulnerabilities. In fact, only 17% are very confident that AI is not introducing new vulnerabilities into their codebase. These concerns are well-founded, as AI is known to introduce risks in software development by generating insecure or incorrect code, including "slopsquatting" – where models hallucinate non-existent package names that attackers can then register and exploit – embedding hidden vulnerabilities that can compromise systems. Regulation on the horizon In addition to growing exploitation of third-party dependencies and concerns about the adoption of AI, there are a wider range of issues putting pressure on the software supply chain. With the arrival of new legislation like the EU's Cyber Resilience Act, companies have an incredibly tight deadline to respond to cyber attacks. This involves the obligation to provide a detailed assessment 48 hours after becoming aware of a breach. To do so, organisations will need to provide provenance data with little to no notice. Despite this, however, Cloudsmith's research shows that, if they were hit with a surprise audit tomorrow, 53% of respondents could only produce a comprehensive report of artifact versions, origins, and security attestations with a significant amount of manual effort or time. This is a particularly significant gap, given the number of organisations that are committing AI-generated code to production without understanding exactly how it functions, or why it was created. An inflection point for the software supply chain "We are at a huge inflection point in the history of software development," says Glenn Weinstein, CEO of Cloudsmith. "In a matter of months, we've gone from, 'How can AI help me write better code?' to, 'How can I help AI write better code?' But at the same time, AI tools are expanding the attack surface, introducing more open source dependencies. And those same tools are being used by malicious actors to find more vulnerabilities in existing libraries, leading to more CVEs." He continues: "Agentic development is an incredibly powerful way to build software, and teams will be far more productive and write even more software as a result. That is a good thing, because the world certainly needs more software and more automation! For enterprises to manage this new velocity and productivity, automated guardrails and context are the new keys to unlock the production of safer, more efficient code." In addition to these findings, the Cloudsmith 2026 Artifact Management Report also reveals respondents' plans for the future. The top three challenges respondents expect to face this year are: Ensuri...

Scripture for Meditation Genesis 3 RSV 20 The man called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living. 21 And the Lord God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins, and clothed them. 22 Then the Lord God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever" NET 20 The man named his wife Eve, because she was the mother of all the living. 21 The Lord God made garments from skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them. 22 And the Lord God said, "Now that the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil, he must not be allowed to stretch out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." Reflection on Scripture: In the continuation of Genesis 3 we see an incredibly fascinating issue. Eve receives her name as the mother of all humans. Additionally God clothed them, which replaced the poor example of coverage from the fig leafs. Ultimately this scripture is focused on setting up the human race for their need for the Lord. God acknowledged that the struggle in regards to the fruit, did in fact open Adam and Eve's eyes and allowed them to have knowledge of good and evil. This is the perfect concept to cover on Easter. It is an incredibly valuable distinction to make that living forever is not God's goal for us. After Adam and Eve ate the fruit, God then prevented them from eating from the tree of life. If God's goal for us was only to live forever, then there would be no interest or need to stop them. God's goal is that we are eternally reunited with Him. Jesus came to earth to overcome that death, but in the context of eternal salvation. When Jesus was born, His death fit within that structure of physicality related to humanity.  Similarly for us, we need death. If we were never to die, then we would be confined to earth forever in this form. God stated without ambiguity that this was not the plan. Even worse would be for us to die without any possibility to overcome it. Jesus' resurrection overcame that hurdle. God's ideal plan for us requires us to overcome death through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The victory of Easter is indirectly referenced in this scripture.  Easter is directly connected to creation and the fall. I want you to know one thing above all. God love the world enough to give up His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him should not die but have everlasting life. That eternal and everlasting life requires salvation from the God of the universe. I am so profoundly grateful that God loves us so much to offer that to us. Ponder on that love.  Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Time is Now to Overcome (1) (audio) David Eells, 4/5/26 Saints, I want to share some revelations with you to both exhort and encourage you today to overcome and endure in your faith for all the promises the Lord has given us.   Keeping Satan Under Your Feet L. D. – 4/1/14 (David's notes in red) In a dream, I was in a big cavern with a wide river where people were waterskiing. But they were skiing on crocodiles' backs, sometimes on purpose, like for sport. There was some class going on in the water explaining how crocodiles slip into the water to attack. But dolphins were used as an example to show us how the crocodiles slipped into the water. (Satan wants us to think his demonic crocodiles are our friends when they actually want to devour us for him.) But then, what I thought were dolphins were actually the body of an underwater serpent dragon. (The demon crocodiles are a part of Satan's body and seek to devour and bring us into his body.) It was moving in a wave in and out of the water. I realized that I was on top of its head! (Notice the serpent dragon, who is Satan, was in the water, representing the peoples, but it was under her feet, who was in the heaven above the earth. Those in the heavens who exercise dominion over Satan are safe, but those who dwell in the earth or waters among the crocodile, serpent, and Dragon are not. Eph.1:3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly [places] in Christ: Isa.27:1 In that day Jehovah with his hard and great and strong sword will punish leviathan the swift serpent, and leviathan the crooked serpent; and he will slay the monster that is in the sea. Rev.12:9 And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him. 10 And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying, Now is come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accuseth them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony; and they loved not their life even unto death. 12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe for the earth and for the sea: because the devil is gone down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time.) The nations are the body of Satan in the earth; they are the body of water in which Satan the Dragon and his many crocodile demons live, but we are to live in dominion over them. Rev.17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. Isa.17:12 Ah, the uproar of many peoples, that roar like the roaring of the seas; and the rushing of nations, that rush like the rushing of mighty waters! 13 The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but he shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like the whirling dust before the storm. 14 At eventide, behold, terror; [and] before the morning they are not. This is the portion of them that despoil us, and the lot of them that rob us. The Sennacherib army is spoken of here, and they are inhabited by Satan and his demons who seek to cause the Bride to stumble, as Peter, who got his eyes on the water and off of Christ, sank to what would have been his death. L.D. had the serpent's head under her feet. An exhortation to all of us that we fall not from heavenly places, dabbling in sin. Gen.3:14 And Jehovah God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this (deceived the woman), cursed art thou above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life (the flesh of man was made from the dust of the earth, which the serpent eats): 15 and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed: he shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Those who are born of the woman Church, who was deceived, should bruise the serpent's head.) The scene changed just a little. I was alone now with the crocodiles and this big sea serpent in this tall, enclosed cavern. I was very afraid and worried about the many crocodiles in the water, but I knew I was safe on top of this serpent's head. (We are not to be afraid. As long as we take dominion over the head and mind of Satan. In this way we control his body, and we have nothing to worry about. We grow up in Christ higher and higher as we keep the serpent in our flesh under submission. Luk.10:19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you.) The serpent just kept taking me higher and higher. I knew it was only nine feet high (the number 9 symbolizes divine completeness or maturity), but it felt much higher, like 100 feet (completion represents 100%. Satan took Jesus to the top of the temple to test him.). The cavern wall to my right had a door with a cross on it (Through Jesus, the door, one can escape the temptation in the cave through faith and bearing our cross.) and I saw the serpent being cut open by a flashing sword (of the Word - Hebrews 4:12), but then it closed again. I wanted and tried to get through the door, but could not. (Through His Word, God offers many ways of escape from the trials, but some are too slow to take them. I know of brethren who were on prescription pain drugs that were killing their spiritual life and opening them up to Satan. Some were offered the Gospel of healing instead, but became addicted to the drugs and didn't want to hear of the perfect cure that Jesus paid for. This can end with God withdrawing His offer. 1Co.10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as man can bear: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that ye may be able to endure it. When the Word offers deliverance from the curse, take it by faith while the conviction is upon you.) Then the serpent spoke to me in my mind and said, “The guy before you got through this way: grace and mercy”. So I said, “Grace and mercy”, and it began to open, and a white light beamed out. (Don't count on your own wisdom or accomplishments. Cry out to God for grace and mercy, saints. It brings the light of truth and purity, for we deserve nothing. Pride, criticism, and unforgiveness can slam the door.) Then the scene changed; it was now unfolding like a camera was moving to the right slowly as it zoomed out. I was a snow leopard. (They are uniquely suited to life in winter snow, which means tribulation or trials.) I was running down a path toward a gazebo, in the top left part of the scene. There was a feast prepared outside in what seemed like a beautiful garden and a white room with beautifully designed golden chairs. (The Marriage Feast is also the time that the Lord's garden, which is His Bride, has borne fruit. Son.4:12 A garden shut up is my sister, [my] bride; A spring shut up, a fountain sealed. 16 Awake, O north wind; And come, thou south; Blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden And eat his precious fruits. Son.5:1 I am come into my garden, my sister, [my] bride: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk. Eat, O friends; Drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.) There was also a covered porch with more seating. But in the garden part underneath a giant gazebo was a giant snow leopard with a blue pendant, maybe as tall as a one-story house. (This could be Jesus, whom the tested Bride is to come into the image of, since they both are snow leopards. He has a heavenly blue pendant.) It was looking at a small dog on the porch in a playful manner. There were no humans, just animals for now. Then Jesus appeared. He said, “Do you think I will let those who will destroy My dinner/feast come in? (Those who do not have on the wedding garment of the Bride, which represents the righteous acts of the saints, will not be among them, and those invited to the Feast must also have on a clean wedding garment or, as Jesus showed, they will be thrown out into torment.) (I believe he looked at the door at this point.) He said, “Look.” A mirror appeared that looked like the oval blue-and-white one that was given to me, and Jesus was behind me to my right, and I was there. (We must look in the heavenly mirror and see Jesus to have power from God to overcome and be in the Bride garden. 2Co.3:18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.) He said something and then said, “Look.” I looked again and saw a small portion of the top of a head that looked like it had been burned by fire behind my left shoulder. I became fearful and worried that that could be me if I went to Hell. (A clear warning. We must not see the old man on the left with all his past guilt in the mirror, for it is not faith that we were crucified with Christ, and we don't live anymore, but He lives in us.) But then Jesus said, “Now do you see the fine one?” I saw the fine one behind my right shoulder, healthy-looking, maybe it could be what I should look like in Heaven, but I was still afraid about the bad one. (We have to forget about the bad “us” in our past, meaning behind us in the mirror and walk away. The fine one is who we are now by faith. We cannot wait for Heaven, for it is here that we bear fruit through faith. We have to look forward to the prize of the high calling of God in Christ. Php.3:7 Howbeit what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea verily, and I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but refuse, that I may gain Christ (Are you ready to give up every nature that is not Christ to gain Him? Your actions will prove it.), 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, [even] that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith (Jesus took our sin and gave us His life through the reconciliation or exchange): 10 that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death (Will you suffer with Christ so that you may live with Him?); 11 if by any means I may attain unto the resurrection from the dead. 12 Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect: but I press on, if so be that I may lay hold on that for which also I was laid hold on by Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I could not myself yet to have laid hold: but one thing [I do], forgetting the things which are behind (the old man and his sins), and stretching forward to the things which are before, 14 I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye are otherwise minded, this also shall God reveal unto you: 16 only, whereunto we have attained, by that same [rule] let us walk.17 Brethren, be ye imitators together of me, and mark them that so walk even as ye have us for an ensample. (Now we begin to see those who are devoured by the crocodiles.) 18 For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, [that they are] the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is perdition, whose god is the belly, and [whose] glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. 20 For our citizenship is in heaven; whence also we wait for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 21 who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, [that it may be] conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things unto himself. We exchanged a few words. He was talking about many things, but I don't remember all of them. I wanted to talk with him and ask him so many things, but I just kept remembering, let my words be few. Jesus was correcting me for some sins I had committed. He said, “May all the video games and all that would cause you to lose focus on Me be gone. Just focus on Me!” He cried, almost like a plea, “Be like the fine one!” And He wrapped Himself over me like a ‘duck-and-cover' move and was like a shield over me. I woke up. (Jesus is our covering for the sins of the past and our failures, but not our willful disobediences - Hebrews 10:26. We must now call the things that be not as though they were done at the cross, for this is faith, which is the very substance of the thing hoped for. Rom.3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be found true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy words, And mightest prevail when thou comest into judgment ... 23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; 24 being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 whom God set forth [to be] a propitiation, through faith, in his blood, to show his righteousness because of the passing over of the sins done aforetime, in the forbearance of God; 26 for the showing, [I say], of his righteousness at this present season: that he might himself be just, and the justifier of him that hath faith in Jesus. 27 Where then is the glorying? It is excluded. By what manner of law? of works? Nay: but by a law of faith. 28 We reckon therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. 29 Or is God [the God] of Jews only? is he not [the God] of Gentiles also? Yea, of Gentiles also: 30 if so be that God is one, and he shall justify the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision through faith. 31 Do we then make the law of none effect through faith? God forbid: nay, we establish the law. Rom. 4:1 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather, hath found according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not toward God. 3 For what saith the scripture? And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh, the reward is not reckoned as of grace, but as of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is reckoned for righteousness. 6 Even as David also pronounceth blessing upon the man, unto whom God reckoneth righteousness apart from works, 7 [saying], Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, And whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom, the Lord will not reckon sin.) Next, let me share with you a word from the Lord that Debbie Fenske received about a year ago, but the Lord just recently brought to her attention because it's for now.   A Vision of Jesus  Debbie Fenske 4/15/25 (David's notes in red) This word was given on April 15, 2025. I read it to us over the last live stream, March 27, 2026. I've realized how wordy what I said before the actual word was. So, I cut out unnecessary things but left in everything that was needed in explaining what took place leading up to the Lord giving the actual word. After the Zoom meeting this morning, I got in front of my computer to finish up a timestamp assignment that I had been working on. I laid my head back as I was listening to the audio. After just a few minutes, suddenly I had a vision. I saw Jesus. I only saw the right side of Him, at first. What I was looking at was not lit up, like with a bright white light. It was just kind of shadowy-looking. I watched Jesus' feet walking very slowly toward me, then He turned slightly and stood in front of me. I knew that He wanted me to come before Him. So, I got down before the Lord to enter into a real time of worship of Him. I remember how awesome it was, how Jesus gave me each song He wanted me to worship Him with, that morning, He first gave me, Holy Holy Holy Are You Lord. Then, I Live To Know You More. And then, His Love Endures Forever. I was amazed that He specifically wanted me to worship Him with those songs. Each one gave me such a greater desire for Him and to be worshiping Him. And I realized that I had not been giving Him the time before Him in worship and prayer, and being in the Word that I thought I had. Just being alone with Him, I realized His great desire for me to worship Him, to have that time alone with Him. I kept worshiping in awe of Him, telling Him, “Lord, Your Name is being worshipped in heaven forever, on, and on, and on, and on! Your holiness, and Your holy Name, Jesus, is being heard throughout all of heaven, being worshipped, and proclaimed forever, and ever, by all Your holy angels, and all Your saints before Your throne! Suddenly, the vision of Jesus continued. I was not seeing His face. I was now seeing the left side of His body. Then, He turned more toward me, and I could see from the bottom part of His neck and His shoulder, down His left side to about the middle of His robe. Then Jesus held out one hand to me. And then He stretched out both His hands to me like He was giving me something. Then there appeared a scroll in His hands. And suddenly the scroll turned into a Bible. It was closed. Then the Bible just fell open, and there was a bright light shining off and up from the pages. Then, suddenly, the bright light turned into a large flame of fire. That was the last of the vision. I was now in tears, really overcome by all of this. And being in such awe of Him, this is what I said back to Him: “Oh Jesus, You are the Word! Your Word was the scrolls that have become the Bible that we use today. Lord, Your “Word,” that we say too casually every day, should not be just something to do in order to take up some of our time, or something that we read simply to be right with You. It is Your very Life. It is Light. And it is the Fire that you want us to allow to consume us. And so, I just had to repent and acknowledge before Him that I'm not in His Word as much as I want to think I am. I told Him, “Lord, I want all of Your Life and Light. I want the Fire of Your Word to consume My little life so that I can be big in You.” And then He was saying to us: “Again, I say to you, stay in My Life, and Light, and Fire, My Word to you. Dwell there. For there I Am Your Jesus. You must be overcoming the distractions in your life that you feel you have a right to. For no, you do not. You do not have a right to put your distractions and your fleshy enjoyment before Me. I Am your Enjoyment. It has always been My plan. I give you Myself. I give you My Life. I give you My Word to distract you away from the distractions of your fleshy pleasures and enjoyments. Yes, I have given you much to enjoy. I Am your God of love. I love to see My children enjoying wholesome things. But have you noticed that I have taken a lot of that enjoyment away from you? It is because, My Children, the time now is crucial. This is the crucial time. You will not know how to handle it. And you will not know how to help others handle it, if you are not enjoying all of My presence, finding what is My pleasure, and being consumed by My Life. There was not time for leaders of the flesh, who had forgotten their goal, and are no more. Do not forget your goal. The goal of the High calling of your God in Me, in heavenly places. You don't want to be a distraction to others. I gave up all earthly and fleshly pleasure for the Life of the Father, so that you could know My Life in the Father. I gave up My Life to offer you that prize. I am handing the prize over to you. Go for it! Take it! Run after it, and do not stop until you receive the crown! This is My calling for you, My children, My Sons and Daughters of the Kingdom. Do not stop hearing and responding to My call. Very soon is coming the chosen. My children, I desire it to be you. This is why I continue to speak to you, to correct and admonish you. It is for My glory who I choose to be the glory of My Name on the earth.” I know that Jesus led me to this word. You could say accidentally, but it was not accidental. He intentionally led me to this word as I was going to clean out my Proton email box. And as I did some scrolling through, I stopped at this word from Him. In my spirit, this word really seems now like it has such a final and serious tone. A final warning. He has spoken to us about this much. And so, we have to overcome every distraction and realize He wants to be our distraction from those the things that satisfy only our flesh. But only Jesus satisfies us wholly. Everything else is nothing. Jesus is now saying, “I will not warn you anymore about this. This is it, it's either Me living in you continually, as My chosen Bride, using you for the purposes of My kingdom, or it's not. It's up to you.” I found out that this word from April 15, 2025, was not blogged. I looked and looked, but I could not find it in the blog in the area where the date it should have been posted. I discovered this word in an email from Michael that he had sent out then. Somehow, he had it, but it did not get blogged. And after I found it, before I opened it up, I touched something and caused it to be moved somewhere. Well, I couldn't find it anywhere. So I called Julie and tried to explain everything to her. She also couldn't find it on the blog, either. But thank the Lord, with Julie's help and the Lord's, I found it this morning (3/31/26). I feel in my spirit that the way this came about, coming upon this word, that it is God's final warning, being understood by the fact that the Lord hasn't given another word of this matter after the previous one. But He chose to use this one that He had already given before. I just now heard in my spirit, “Let us press on to know the Lord.” I looked that up in a search, and Hosea 6.3, KJV, came up: “Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD. His going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.” I decided to look it up in the ASV version: Hos 6:3  And let us know, let us follow on to know Jehovah: his going forth is sure as the morning; and he will come unto us as the rain, as the latter rain that watereth the earth.  Let us follow on.   Keeping Your Focus On The Light Anonymous 10/20/22 (David's notes in red) I was in the shower speaking with the Lord, and then the devil came along and gave me a thought comparing myself to another person. I have been casting down, criticizing, judgmental, and comparing thoughts a lot in the past week. I cast it down and then I heard the Lord say, “Look not to the left or to the right”.  (I.e. Stay on and keep your eyes on the straight and narrow path of the Word. Jos.1:7-8 Only be strong and very courageous, to observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest have good success whithersoever thou goest. 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate thereon day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.) Then I saw Jesus standing up ahead. He was wearing a glowing white light garment and had His arms open. It felt as if He was waiting for me to continue walking (in this way) to get closer and closer to Him. He was constantly watching me, not taking His eyes off of me. His presence was so patient, gentle, kind, understanding, loving, so peaceful, and there really aren't enough words to describe His presence. (Psa.32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will counsel thee with mine eye upon thee. Psa 33:18 Behold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him, Upon them that hope in his lovingkindness;) Behind Him was this giant bright light shining, and the closer I got to Him, the brighter and bigger the light was. (Coming into the Sun/Son glory of God.) Behind me was complete darkness, and it kept lessening. It looked kind of like a tunnel of light with darkness all around and an opening of light up ahead with Jesus standing in front of it. The closer I got to Jesus, the more light and peace there was. (And this is the way it is.) I felt this meant about keeping our eyes completely focused on Jesus and our own walk or race to Him and not looking at other brethren to compare our walk with them. Not looking back to the darkness or looking around, but only looking to Him. (2Co 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit. Pro.4:25-27 Let thine eyes look right on, And let thine eyelids look straight before thee. 26 Make level the path of thy feet, And let all thy ways be established. 27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: Remove thy foot from evil. 2Co.10:12 For we are not bold to number or compare ourselves with certain of them that commend themselves: but they themselves, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves with themselves, are without understanding. Isa.26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee.   Seeking In Secret Anonymous 12/17/22 (David's notes in red) I heard in prayer, and the Lord spoke: He said, “Shut out everything.” (Close off all distractions, the enemy always uses everything he can to distract us from seeking God's presence and to distract us from staying in God's rest.) (Seeking His will through the trials is a test of Faith and devotion to the Word. Just as Job gave acknowledgement and glory to God during his trials. Job.1:8 And Jehovah said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job? for there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and turneth away from evil.) He said, “Prayer closet.” (Dedicate more of your time to God and His Spirit, not the flesh.) (“You have not because you ask not.” Being intimate with God in prayer has eternal rewards. Distractions will try to steal this time with God.) He said, “Have patience.” (Knowing that your prayers will be answered in His perfect time.) Jas.1:3-4 knowing that the proving of your faith worketh patience. 4 And let patience have its perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, lacking in nothing. Rom.5:3-5 And not only so, but we also rejoice in our tribulations: knowing that tribulation worketh stedfastness; 4 and stedfastness, approvedness; and approvedness, hope: 5 and hope putteth not to shame; because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Spirit which was given unto us. (“He that endureth to the end shall be saved.”) He said, “Speak out when you can see the enemy attack and call out to Me.” (Alert the Saints and respond to duty. God sends these tests to cause us to get in line with His Word so the enemy has no advantage.) (There is safety in numbers because some brethren may have overcome some specifics that we have not encountered. It is not only Christ in you, but in your brothers and sisters too.) He said, “Turn up the heat, get into deep, fervent and desperate prayer!” (“The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous man availeth much.” “Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”) He said, “Laugh the enemy to scorn for he does this all the time.” (Call out the enemy's bluff and staying in the resolve of Jesus and the truth of the Word.) (The majority of trials are enemy lies, or a twisted truth to deceive. Symptoms, curses, and afflictions – never last. Only Jesus is the everlasting!) He said, “That test is to turn it all back for what it is.” (Refute and retake the stolen things back from the enemy.) (Act.3:20-21 and that he may send the Christ who hath been appointed for you, even Jesus: 21 whom the heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, whereof God spake by the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from of old. Jesus will come and restore all for He bore our curse so we could have Abrahams blessings in all things.) He said, “In humility give all gratefulness that nothing is done for you or to you, unless I allow it.” (Praise God in all things, praise Him for He is in control, and we can trust Him only.) (Psa.149:6-9 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the nations, And punishments upon the peoples; 8 To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: This honor have all his saints. Praise ye Jehovah.) He said, “Seek Me in fear and gladness for everything.” He said, “Bring the life of Christ into the open.” (Reveal the greatest of things for all to experience.) (Joh.10:10 The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.) He said, “Love all and be showing the example of Him.” (God through us to others.) (Rom.13:8 ASV Owe no man anything, save to love one another: for he that loveth his neighbor hath fulfilled the law.) He said, “See that nothing is allowed into Me unless it passes the test of being in the image of My Son.” (Nothing of self or evil can ever imitate.) (A final result of our trials is more of Christ revealed. “Christ in you the hope of glory.”) He said, “As you look to Me by the Word and heart, you can see I look through all things.” (There is nothing that can be hidden from God.) (Only the wicked do not believe He sees all and will do anything about it.) He said, “When you see that you need Me in everything and when you are that desperate, you can see Me in others too.” (Everyone is in dire need for more of the Lord Jesus and His salvation.) He said, “Pray in tongues and write down the interpretation you get.” (Exercising the gifts to be trained and gain experience.) He said, “Seeking the Lord in servitude and want.” (Nothing for selfish gain) (But to serve the Kingdom.) He said, “Draw close to Him” (Honestly and sincerely prefer the Lord as priority always.) (Talk to Him for He desires our fellowship.) He said, “Fan the flames that burn the traps and attacks.” (Nothing can withhold you when the fire of the Lord burns everything evil. Praise and worship engulf the evil.) He said, “Add to the fire the fuel of the Word and continue to add each verse in thought as it burns.” (Keep the fire burning with explosive power.) He said, “The light shines as the flames burn brighter in the zeal and desire of the Father.” (Love burns so hot, it eliminates all darkness.) (Return us, Lord, into Your wonderful garden and keep us hedged around and protected from all evil, under Your wings, in Your promises.) Amen!   Partaking of the Bread and Sufferings Marie Kelton 9/15/23 (David's notes in red) During the meeting, I had an open vision of being in heaven. My hair was its natural color (God's creation should show submission to Him). I was wearing a long lace head covering, and I was kneeling. (Marie represents the Bride of Christ, who is veiled and in the position of humble submission to His will.) I saw the Lord walk up to me, His eyes were a flame of fire (Rev.19:12 And his eyes are a flame of fire,...), and He had a flame of fire in His right hand. (This represents the Word of righteousness. Jer.23:29 Is not my word like fire? saith Jehovah… 1Co.3:12-14 But if any man buildeth on the foundation gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 each man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself shall prove each man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work shall abide which he built thereon, he shall receive a reward. Rev.2:17 … To him that overcometh, to him will I give of the hidden manna… The flame of fire then turned to what I knew was Manna. I knew He wanted me to eat it. (The Manna is the Word of God, Who is Jesus, the Living Bread from heaven. We need to eat it so we can have His Eternal Life in us. Joh.6:48-51 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. 50 This is the bread which cometh down out of heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down out of heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: yea and the bread which I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world. He is the Word made flesh.) Then, a Goblet appeared in His hand. He handed the Goblet to me. And I drank from it. (What came to me was the cup of suffering, to partake in His sufferings.) (Mat.26:39 And he went forward a little, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt. Mar.10:38-39 But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink the cup that I drink? or to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? 39 And they said unto him, We are able. And Jesus said unto them, The cup that I drink ye shall drink; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized) (We eat the Body of Christ, which is the Word of God, for He is the Word made flesh. We drink the blood because the life of the flesh is in the blood – Lev 17:11. Partaking of His life and nature is suffering the loss of our old life and nature. Baptism represents the death and burial of the old man, and coming up represents the resurrection life of the new man in Christ. The baptism of the Holy Spirit empowers us to be able to drink the cup of suffering, which is the death of the old man. This enables us to partake of His holiness.) (1Pe.4:12-13 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial among you, which cometh upon you to prove you, as though a strange thing happened unto you: 13 but insomuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exceeding joy. Php.3:10 that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death.) (When we choose to overcome in the midst of these trials and tribulations and sufferings like Jesus did, we are taking up our cross to follow Him and be His disciple.)   Endure In Your Faith To The End David Eells Have you ever received promises from God that you really desired but lost faith in because much time passed and there was much failure on your part to live up to your expectations, and you think that is the reason that the promises won't be fulfilled? We have received many times by faith at random – Psa.102:13 Thou wilt arise, and have mercy upon Zion; For it is time to have pity upon her, Yea, the set time is come. (We are on the verge of many promises being fulfilled at this time and also to people who have failed to live up to what they thought they should have been. In all of your failure continue to be ‘Justified by Faith' and also forgive your fellow man their failures and believe now so the promises can come to pass.) We are entering a season of fulfillment! We also have received these verses by faith at random, about NOW is the time. Isa.33:10 Now will I arise, saith Jehovah; now will I lift up myself; now will I be exalted. Psa.12:5 Because of the oppression of the poor, because of the sighing of the needy, Now will I arise, saith Jehovah; I will set him in the safety he panteth for. It is now that we have no time for double-mindedness because of past failures or sin. Forget the failures and inability of the past with its condemnation, be justified by faith, repent and believe now. Here is a perfect example of a man receiving an important promise but then went through much unbelief and failure and self-works in his uncircumcised heart but when the time came God reminded him of the promise and brought it to pass through his renewed faith. Rom.4:1-10 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather, hath found according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not toward God. (Like many of us, Abraham's faith and works failed him for many years but when the set time was come it was impossible for him to bring it to pass by works of man. He and Sarah were too old and double-minded. Jas.1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting: for he that doubteth is like the surge of the sea driven by the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. It was then that God reminded him of the promise and renewed his faith.) 3 For what saith the scripture? And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness. And then the promise was fulfilled. 4 Now to him that worketh, the reward is not reckoned as of grace, but as of debt. (The answer can only come by Grace, which is unmerited and unearned by man's works. Pray for mercy and grace by which faith will come.) 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is reckoned for righteousness. (Up to this point, Abraham was ungodly in his works to bring to pass the promises. Only the works of faith are considered righteous.) 6 Even as David also pronounceth blessing upon the man, unto whom God reckoneth righteousness apart from works (of man), 7 saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, And whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not reckon sin. (This grace through faith was given to a man who did not deserve it by his works.) 9 Is this blessing then pronounced upon the circumcision, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say, To Abraham his faith was reckoned for righteousness. 10 How then was it reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision. (The promise was given when Abraham was sowing a seed of uncircumcised flesh. What can that get you? Ishmael. Abraham wanted God to accept him as the promised seed, but God refused because his work was of the flesh of man.) …17-25 (as it is written, A father of many nations have I made thee) before him whom he believed, even God, who giveth life to the dead, and calleth the things that are not as though they were. (Abraham and Sarah were dead to any ability to bring forth the promised seed. We are also dead to any ability to bring forth the promised seed of “Christ in you, the hope of glory”. Here is where we can receive the unmerited, unearned favor of God. We cannot pick ourselves up by our bootstraps.) 18 Who in hope believed against hope (of man), to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, So shall thy seed be. (Within the year of the fulfillment of the promise, Abraham began to believe God by His grace, while ignoring his inability.) 19 And without being weakened in faith he considered his own body now as good as dead (he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb; 20 yet, looking unto the promise of God, he wavered not through unbelief, but waxed strong through faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22 Wherefore also it was reckoned unto him for righteousness. (Since it was impossible for them to do this, there was only one other choice: believe God and be counted as righteous so he could have the promise. Rom.3:3-4 For what if some were without faith? shall their want of faith make of none effect the faithfulness of God? 4 God forbid: (It was in this state of unfaithfulness to God's promise that Abraham and Sarah were to confess the promise and be justified in their words.) yea, let God be found true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified (Accounted as righteous) in thy words, And mightest prevail when thou comest into judgment. We prevail or overcome in Judgment when we confess the Lord's promises with our Words. When we are accounted righteous, we are entitled to Faith, which is the victory that overcomes the world. Back to Rom.4:23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was reckoned unto him; 24 but for our sake also, unto whom it shall be reckoned, who believe on him that raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, 25 who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification. When Jesus died, we died; when he was resurrected, we received resurrection life. Have you failed? Ask for faith through grace and confess the promises! “Confess” in Greek is Homo-Logeo, meaning to “speak the same as”. I.e. Say what God says about you and others. Heb.3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, even Jesus; 4:14 Having then a great high priest, who hath passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. Jesus, as our High Priest, must have a sacrifice from us to give to the Father. Mat.10:32 Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven. Luk.12:8 And I say unto you, Every one who shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: When we confess in agreement with God's promises, the angels are given authority of Father and Son to fulfill our confession. Psa.103:20 Bless Jehovah, ye his angels, That are mighty in strength, that fulfil his word, Hearkening unto the voice of his word. Heb.10:23 let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised: 13:15 Through him then let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which make confession to his name. Speak life into every situation. Pro.18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue; And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Mar.11:23 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he saith cometh to pass; he shall have it. “Whosoever” shows that He wasn't only talking to His disciples and apostles at that time, but that He was talking to all disciples because disciples are the only ones who will take Him seriously and recognize this authority as a gift of faith. Again, Jesus was not only speaking to the apostles and disciples back in His time, but to anyone, from them to us, who believes he can have this authority. Is this just a silly statement that no one will ever really take Him up on? No! There have been many people who have commanded their personal mountains and giants out of the way. Multitudes of people have exercised this authority over Satan, over the flesh, over their circumstances, and over the curse. God is faithful to stand by His Word, not because we deserve it, but due to His mercy and grace. He has said, According to your faith be it done unto you (Mat.9:29) and Go thy way; as thou hast believed, [so] be it done unto thee (Mat.8:13). “Whosoever” includes you and me and any other believer, so this authority has been put in our hands as sons of the last Adam, and not only given to those disciples in Jesus' day, as some say. Mar.16:14 And afterward he was manifested unto the eleven themselves as they sat at meat; and he upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them that had seen him after he was risen. 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned. Jesus is referring to the disciples of the disciples. “Disciples” (Greek: mathetes, meaning “learner and follower”) are learners and followers of the Lord. He is our Master, our Lord, our Example, and He is the One Who does the works through us. Mar.16:17 And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Now we see that these signs will accompany those who simply believe, not only great apostles. That is authority! Jesus is giving authority to the people who believe these first disciples, or forefathers of Christianity, who wrote these pages to us. He has given us this authority to do good in the name of the Lord. All principalities and powers have been put under Jesus (Matthew 28:18), even “his feet” and we are “his body” (Ephesians 1:20-23). We have this authority, but it can be negative or positive. For example, when the Lord brought His people out of Egypt and into the wilderness, they continued to speak negatively and exercise their faith in a negative way. Faith is just what you believe. You can believe what God has spoken to you, or you can believe the things which you see in the world, but Jesus said, According to your faith be it done unto you (Mat.9:29). Faith is both negative and positive. Even fear is faith; however, it's faith in the curse, or faith in reverse – I.e. having faith in adverse circumstances and in the devil. The absolute proof in the world is what people believe happens to them comes to pass. Doctors say that approximately 90% and higher of sicknesses are psychosomatic (Greek: psuche, meaning “soul” and soma, meaning “body”). This implies “soul over body” and your soul is your mind, will, and emotions. Therefore, your mind, will, and emotions are making your body sick. The doctors are wrong in stating that 90% and higher of sicknesses are psychosomatic. That number is 100%. What makes people sick is what they believe. In fact, what you believe can kill you. As we saw in Matthew 18:18, you are the one who binds and who looses, and you are the one who creates your own future. You are the one who gives authority to the devil or gives authority unto God. Jesus needed authority, but when He went to His hometown, he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief (Mat.13:58). They had the authority to say no to God, and they did; they did not believe in Jesus and His Gospel. They believed in the sickness and the curse and they spoke it. We can believe in the blessings of God and speak the blessings, or we can believe in the curse and speak the curse. We will have what we believe because that's the Word of God. Num.14:28 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord, surely as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: 29 your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, that have murmured against me. They complained to the Lord that they were brought out into the wilderness to die, and the Lord heard this too many times. The Lord basically gave them what they said. The Lord still does this today, and the Bible declares that He does. One of the fruits of a believer is that they believe in their heart and confess with their mouth (Romans 10:10). Many people profess to be believers, yet don't confess their benefits in Christ, so God says what you say is what you will receive. Num.21:5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, and there is no water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. What is “against God”? It's when God has spoken these awesome promises, and we think we know better and continue to agree with the curse. For example, the 10 spies who spoke and agreed with the curse and brought the bad report led to the threats made by God to those who believed those spies. Joshua and Caleb were the only two who brought the good report, in agreement with God's promises. So, speaking against God can be more subtle than what people might think. When God says you're healed, and you say you're not, then you will remain sick. When God says He's taken away your sins, but you confess what you see and feel in the world, you are speaking against God. Num.21:6 And the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. Once again, what they spoke is what they got. I believe the fiery serpents represent the curse. The cure for this was that God commanded Moses to make a “fiery serpent” out of brass and put it on a pole, and as people got their eyes on the serpent on the pole, they were healed (verse 8). As we know, the cure was Jesus Christ, since He was the One who was made sin and was crucified on a cross. So, we have a cure from the curse, but we must confess God to receive this cure. Those who profess Christianity but do not confess the benefits of the Kingdom, so that the curse, which was put upon Jesus, doesn't come on them. We cannot gain the promises in Scripture without faith in those promises. Or, in other words, what we profess must be mixed with faith. Num.21:7 And the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, because we have spoken against the Lord, and against thee; pray unto the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. When people pray, God is merciful, especially if they believe their prayers. But do you have to continue to live under the curse? Is it necessary, when you can agree with God, to have the “fiery serpents” bite you? These serpents are the curse manifested in so many ways. The serpent is, obviously, also the devil, who is a vessel of dishonor that administers the curse on God's people, especially when they don't believe the benefits of God. Jesus told us, According to your faith be it done unto you (Mat.9:29) and Go thy way; as thou hast believed, [so] be it done unto thee (Mat.8:13). You can speak things into coming to pass. If you speak life, you receive life; if you speak death, you receive death. It depends on what you have your faith in. If your faith is in agreement with God's benefits, then you are justified by faith and receive those benefits. If you agree with what is in the world, then you don't receive God's benefits and have loosed the devil; you have loosed emissaries to continue to administer the curse on you. Many people are learning this and experiencing what I'm saying. This is nothing new, but is the same Gospel which is from the beginning. We have to have a renewed mind so that we understand what to believe and what we should speak. Faith can be both positive and negative. Pro.18:20 A man's belly shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; With the increase of his lips shall he be satisfied. Would you like your needs to be met because of what you say? We would like our lips to come into agreement with the Word of God and learn more and more to walk in His benefits by confessing Him before men. Pro.18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue; And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. I remember back in Louisiana, where I came from, there was a church that had a visiting minister who was preaching about death and how it was not to be feared. I know the church and its circumstances and have been there. The minister was actually going to show them how simple it was to die. He pulled up a chair, sat down, and said it was as simple as going to sleep. Then he nodded his head for an example. He stayed like that for a while, until the pastor, whom I know, got nervous and went up and touched him on his shoulder, and then shook him. He was gone. He talked himself right off of this earth. What was God showing with this example? Some people talk themselves right into the grave. Many people die before their time because their faith is to die; their faith is to be cursed and to receive the things that are around them. Their faith is not in what the Lord Jesus has given to them freely. Truly, “death and life are in the power of the tongue.” This is God's Word, and nothing is being taken away or being added to it. We need to agree with God's benefits to have them, and God will supply your every need to do His will if you learn to agree with Him. The tongue doesn't speak on its own. It gets its direction from your thoughts and the words that are in your mind. We need to watch our tongue so we can correct our mind. That's one reason the Lord is telling us to be careful with what we say, because when we are careful, we are correcting our thoughts. He tells us to be quick to hear and slow to speak. That's why we have one tongue and two ears. Mat.12:34 Ye offspring of vipers, how can ye, being evil speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. If we want to speak good things, we need to put good things in our hearts and reject the other things that are there. I am sure that your mouth has spoken things that have slipped out that you wish you hadn't said. It's an automatic thing with some people, but we need to slow down and give the Lord time to correct our thinking. Good people speak good things, and bad people speak bad things. In some ways, we are both since we are both ‘son of man' and ‘son of God', but we also have authority over that part of us which is still man. The Son of God in us has authority over that man. As the outer man decays, the inner man is renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16). That spiritual man is taking over as we walk by faith and believe more and more of the Word of God, and as we do, more and more of Jesus Himself is being manifested in us, and He is taking more and more ground from the enemy. Mat.12:35 The good man out of his good treasure bringeth forth good things: and the evil man out of his evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. Those who get this revelation about the tongue spend much time talking about the tongue, but we must really begin with the heart. We have to repent – change our mind – and believe what the Bible says. Changing your mind and repenting is renewing your mind with what the Word says and agreeing with what it says, but we must do it enough so that it overcomes our natural thinking. Our natural thinking is what kills us and all those whose tongues are connected to their natural man. Mat.12:36 And I say unto you, that every idle (Greek: argos, meaning “unfruitful, barren”) word that men shall speak, they shall give account of in the day of judgment. The Lord obviously wants His Word to bear fruit in us, but there are many words that are unfruitful and don't bear the fruit of Christ in us. Every idle word will bring judgment upon you. The day of judgment is not just that day down the road, the corporate judgment, but it is the day of judgment that you come into. Your idle words, unfruitful or vain, will bring you into judgment. Many people have spoken the curse upon themselves, like the Israelites did. They confessed continuously that they would die in the wilderness and it happened. Mat.12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. The words that justify us are those words spoken in agreement with God. They are words confessing Jesus before God and men, saying what He said and agreeing with what He has taught us in the Word, and also by what He put in the disciples to teach us in the Word. We are accounted righteous, or justified, if we agree with God. But if we don't agree, we fall under judgment, for “by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” If you disagree with God's Word, it's like calling Him a liar. God told the Israelites that He was going to bring them to the Promised Land, and they basically claimed that God was a liar and that He brought them to the wilderness to die. They spoke it from their mouth, and He finally said, “as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you.” There are a lot of people who don't make it through the wilderness – what we call the “world” today. Hos.4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…. They agree with the curse and they receive the curse. It's what they believe; it is their faith. See Jesus in the mirror, all that He is, is yours. 2Co.3:18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit. And 1Jn 4:17 Herein is love made perfect with us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as he is, even so are we in this world.

850 To Dust You Shall Return, A Guided Christian Meditation on Genesis 3:16-19 with the Recenter With Christ app The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in  and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ. Scripture for Meditation Genesis 3 ESV 16 To the woman he said, "I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing;     in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be for your husband,     and he shall rule over you." 17 And to Adam he said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife     and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you,     'You shall not eat of it,' cursed is the ground because of you;     in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; 18 thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you;     and you shall eat the plants of the field. 19 By the sweat of your face     you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground,     for out of it you were taken; for you are dust,     and to dust you shall return." NASB 16 To the woman He said, "I will greatly multiply Your pain in childbirth, In pain you shall deliver children; Yet your desire will be for your husband, And he shall rule over you." 17 Then to Adam He said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat from it'; Cursed is the ground because of you; With hard labor you shall eat from it All the days of your life. 18 Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; Yet you shall eat the plants of the field; 19 By the sweat of your face You shall eat bread, Until you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return." Reflection on Scripture: The effect of the fall was not fully captured in these few verses yet there are some things that are indicated. A few consequences are pointed out. These are not even described as the way things should be, just what would happen. God was not commanding Adam to sweat or for Eve that somehow that this pain was ideal, for example. God was saying what would result in life. Equally interesting to me is the fact that there are different consequences laid out for Adam and Eve. Eve's focus on the pain of motherhood and being a wife, for Adam the difficulty of feeding himself and his family with the inevitability of pending death.  They were not commanded to not feel that pain or the threat of death. There is nothing they could do to stop the things of this world. God did want for them to understand the effects of a sinful world. In fact, this pain acts a little more than a speed bump on our path bath to the Father if we have our focus placed on His path, His way, and His life, that of Jesus Christ. Yield yourself to God's path for you. Walking the path of God is what should be considered normative, or ideal. Believe in Jesus and walk his path despite the challenges of this life. That is what Jesus asks. Although we participate with other people in life,  it is God's path we need to follow. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we overcome the effects of sin, pain, weakness, and everything that makes this world less than heaven. Never let anything get in the way of keeping your ears open to the voice of the Spirit. Whoever has ears to hear let them hear.  Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Ep 396 How Can You Replicate the Intensity of a Post-Season Environment in Practice?

https://teachhoops.com/ When the post-season arrives, the atmosphere changes: the crowds are louder, the scouting is deeper, and the "Margin for Error" shrinks to nearly zero. To prepare your players, you cannot simply "turn it on" during the first round of the playoffs; you must "Stress-Test" your program during the regular season. Replicating this environment requires more than just high-intensity drills; it requires Psychological Simulation. You must create scenarios where the consequences of a mistake are immediate and meaningful. If your team only plays "comfortable" basketball in practice, they will experience "Performance Paralysis" when the lights get brighter and the pressure mounts. One of the most effective ways to simulate post-season pressure is through "Special Situation Scripting." Dedicate at least 15 minutes of every practice to "Game Winners" or "Post-Season Scenarios." For example: "You are down 1, opponent is at the line for a 1-and-1, 8 seconds left, you have no timeouts." By forcing your players to make "Live-Action Decisions" in these micro-moments, you build Performance Poise. In the post-season, teams don't lose because they don't know the plays; they lose because they can't execute them under the "weight" of the moment. Use your TeachHoops member calls to audit your "Late-Game Menu"—do your players know exactly who is getting the ball when the season is on the line? Finally, you must clutter the environment. In a post-season game, communication is difficult because of the noise. Replicate this by blasting crowd noise over the gym speakers during your scrimmages. This forces your players to develop "Non-Verbal Synergy" and to over-communicate with their hands and eyes. Additionally, implement "Consequence-Based Drills" where the "stakes" are high—such as a "Perfect Minute" drill where the team must play a full minute of error-free defense or the clock resets. By making the "Standard of Excellence" harder than the game itself, you ensure that when the playoff tip-off happens, your team feels a sense of "Familiar Calm" rather than overwhelming anxiety. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate,  deflate. Scripture for Meditation Genesis 3 KJV 14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. NET 14 The Lord God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, cursed are you above all the cattle and all the living creatures of the field! On your belly you will crawl and dust you will eat all the days of your life. 15 And I will put hostility between you and the woman and between your offspring and her offspring; he will strike your head, and you will strike his heel." Reflection on Scripture: In this chapter the serpent is not specifically identified as Satan, the adversary, the enemy of God but in other places in scripture that link is explicitly made. Why does God punish Satan? Satan tried to take the place of God. He tried to be the one to direct Adam and Eve in opposition to what God says. He does not fully understand the plan of God. His knowledge is limited. Even if he intellectually knows what God's intent is, which it is not even clear that this is the case, he certainly doesn't understand it. An intellectual understanding of the words of God is not enough. While in graduate school some of the books I read about the New Testament were written by incredibly knowledgeable atheists. This caused me to be suspicious of their insights about the true meaning of what the Word said. Satan intended to oppose and displace God, regardless of how futile that is.  Similarly how do we approach the wisdom of God? Do we do so indifferent to God's intent and presence? Where much is given, much is expected. When we approach God's word supported by God's Holy Spirit we are more prepared to understand it. As a result we should attempt to use every resource we have, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually to draw unto the Lord and seek His riches. If we approach God's word with an intent to critique it and demonstrate why it doesn't fit with modern thoughts, we have a greatly diminished ability to be fed by it spiritually.  In all, Satan has been punished for rejecting the authority and supremacy of God. We are rewarded when we align with God's spirit and His purpose. If we choose the side of rebellion or pride we choose the side of the serpent whose head is crushed by Jesus. When we follow Jesus we take the side of the one who will crush the enemy. Use your time in meditation as a method for aligning your will, your mind, and your heart, to the Lord Jesus Christ that is the only path back to the Father. Without Jesus, we have no ability to overcome the effects of the fall of Adam and our resulting propensity to sin.  Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. In this continuation of The Protocol of HIS Worship, Rev. Roland Anang teaches a timely message on how approaching God requires understanding the manner, attitude, and reverence of His Kingdom. Just as earthly kingdoms operate with protocols, the Kingdom of God also has divine principles governing how believers worship, serve, and respond to His presence. This message challenges believers to move beyond casual or passive worship and to engage God with their whole being—spirit, soul, and body. True worship flows from a heart aligned with God, expressed outwardly through reverence, thanksgiving, obedience, and the fear of the Lord. This sermon emphasizes that worship is not merely singing songs; it is a lifestyle of honour, sacrifice, and total devotion to God.

Let your stomach be a balloon inflate,  deflate. Scripture for Meditation Genesis 3 NIV 8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man, "Where are you?" 10 He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid." KJV 8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. 9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? 10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. Reflection on Scripture: What an interesting turn of events. When Adam and Eve ate from the tree from which they were commanded against, the scripture does not say they hid because they disobeyed God. It says they hid because they were naked. It seems like the wrong thing to be fearful that the Lord sees. God created their naked bodies. God has already seen their nakedness and yet this is the motivation for hiding from God.  Aside from the silliness of trying to hide from God, it seems the wrong reason to hide from God. It also seems like a wonderful deception for Satan. To foul their understanding of their sexual identity before the Lord quite literally. In the final day of active creation God created Adam, then as his culminating act of creation, he created Eve. In this act of creation he invited Adam and Eve to participate with Him in the act of creation of human bodies. The sexual acts that create their offspring is a literal usage of this gift for its intended purpose. Satan did not want them to develop a healthy relationship with this power. He wanted to immediately corrupt their perception. Their sexual bodies were incorrectly seen as an embarrassment before God.  Satan has waged a full fledged war against the correct perception and usage of this sacred creative power represented by their nudity. He tries to make the whole world mock, cheapen, objectify, and minimize the gift of sexuality. And on top of that, after he has done that, he seeks to heap on shame for it at the same time. God would have us reject the perspective of Satan, and the world. I believe God would prefer for us to protect the sacredness of this gift while also rejecting the shame the enemy would place upon it. Embrace the sacredness that God has put into you. Don't misuse it. Don't hide from the Lord when you fear or make errors. Let us not be in a place where God ever has to ask, where are you? Let us always seek His face, especially when we fall short, that he can redeem us.  Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Are you choosing enough? Are you choosing what you truly could be choosing?  This is your life. Go for it!  On this 300th episode of Choice, Change and Action, Simone Milasas takes you through some of the tools of Access Consciousness to inspire you to have more and be more. What would it take to truly live? Questions And Tools: "Dear universe, what else is possible?" "How does it get any better than this?" "Everything is the opposite of what appears to be, nothing is the opposite of what appears to be" "How did I create this?" "If I was choosing my financial reality, what would I choose?" "What creationships can I invite into my life today?" "Earth, what do you require of me today?" "Body, what do you desire to change? What action can I take? What can I be with you?" "What would it take to truly live?" Tools to change any area of our life: Use the mantra of Access Consciousness: "All of life comes to me with ease and joy and glory." There is no right or wrong; it's about choosing what works for you. What would you like to create? If you don't choose your reality, this reality will start to dictate what you are choosing. What action can you take to change something? What can you hear? Relax. Use the crazy phrase: "Everything is the opposite of what appears to be, nothing is the opposite of what appears to be." There is nothing wrong with you, there is nothing to fix; but you can change. Stop looking outside of you for the source of creation for your life; you are the source of creation, you create your today and your future. There is no answer; it's about you choosing. Nothing happens to you; you create everything that shows up in your life. Use the clearing statement: Right and wrong, good and bad, all 100, shorts, boys, POVADs, creations, bases and beyonds. Destroy and uncreate all the points of views you think are yours, now what would you choose? It's all about energy. Surround yourself with people who are a contribution to you, and you are a contribution to them What if your life didn't have to be hard and you could just start choosing?  What would it take to embrace everything you are today? Be you, change the world. Dedicate yourself to demanding that you stop judging; judging doesn't create anything greater. Know that you are a walking talking miracle. Invite more chaos into your life; chaos is creation. What is the Earth asking of you? What can you contribute? What can the Earth contribute to you?  What can you receive today that you were not willing to receive yesterday? Allow more to show up rather try to control it. Get your bars run. For 1 hour a day and 1 day a week, choose something that's just for you.    Everything you're not willing to perceive, know, be and receive about how you created this, will you destroy and uncreate it all? Right and wrong, good and bad, all 100, shorts, boys, POVADs, creations, bases and beyonds. Everywhere you've decided the points of views you have around money are yours,  will you destroy and uncreate it? Right and wrong, good and bad, all 100, shorts, boys, POVADs, creations, bases and beyonds. How many of you are trying to prove that you fit somewhere? What if you fit nowhere and fit everywhere? Everything that is, times a godzillion,  will you destroy and uncreate it? Right and wrong, good and bad, all 100, shorts, boys, POVADs, creations, bases and beyonds. How many of you are trying to create relationships rather than creationships? Everything that is, times a godzillion,  will you destroy and uncreate it? Right and wrong, good and bad, all 100, shorts, boys, POVADs, creations, bases and beyonds. Destroy and uncreate everywhere you've been choosing based on this reality rather than choosing your reality. Right and wrong, good and bad, all 100, shorts, boys, POVADs, creations, bases and beyonds. What can you receive today that would create being totally out of control? Everything that is, times a godzillion,  will you destroy and uncreate it? Right and wrong, good and bad, all 100, shorts, boys, POVADs, creations, bases and beyonds. Scripture for Meditation Genesis 3 RSV 4 But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not die. 5 For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave some to her husband, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons. NET 4 The serpent said to the woman, "Surely you will not die, 5 for God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will open and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." 6 When the woman saw that the tree produced fruit that was good for food, was attractive to the eye, and was desirable for making one wise, she took some of its fruit and ate it. She also gave some of it to her husband who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them opened, and they knew they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. Reflection on Scripture: Satan directly rejects what God taught Adam and Eve. Although in one way Satan put some truth in his lie. Their eyes were in fact opened when the partook of the fruit of the tree. Yet the ultimate point is they faced spiritual death when they ate of the fruit, which is separation from the presence of God, and they became subject to physical death. God's word was fulfilled. This scripture also begins to point out the beginning of shame. When we act in contrast to what God has told us to, we feel a conviction of our guilt from God. This can be a good and Godly influence. God's desire for us is not to retain this bad feeling and live in it. His desire is really aimed at bringing our hearts back in line with His will. He wants us to feel forgiven. He wants us to feel welcome back to his presence. So I think we should be aware of the effects of sin and seek to actively reject sin.  Satan is aware of God's grace. He knows God will forgive us when we turn to, and trust in Jesus as the source of forgiveness and salvation. He wants to actively deny that. He would prefer that we become immobilized by shame. He wants us to hide our sin from God which we will talk more about next week. Satan wants to turn our attention away from our God who longs to pour out forgiveness and guide us to overcome sin. So my invitation to you is to ponder, do you allow Satan to use shame to take your focus away from the forgiveness that God freely offers? Equally destructive is do you reject any negative emotions associated with your guilt because you feel sad about it? Rejoice in any guilt that draws your heart back to the Lord and reject the shame of the enemy who seeks to destroy your hope in a glorious forgiveness.  Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Meditation of God and His Glory / Hesychasm: I invite you to sit in silence feeling patient for your own faults and trials. https://www.uncommen.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Roommates.mp3 When Your Soulmate Becomes Just a Tenant Quick Answers What is roommate syndrome? It is a state in marriage where emotional and physical intimacy dissolves, leaving two people who manage a household together but live separate lives. Is it normal? All marriages go through dry seasons, but accepting this disconnection as a permanent status quo is dangerous and often a precursor to divorce. How do we fix it? It requires breaking the silence, practicing vulnerability, and intentionally pursuing your wife again—spiritually and emotionally. Does counseling mean we failed? No. seeking help is a sign of strength. It means you value the marriage enough to fight for it rather than watching it die a slow death. What if I'm the only one trying? You are called to lead. Even if your wife seems checked out, your consistency in prayer and pursuit can change the atmosphere of the home. The Silent Shift You know the drill. You walk in the door after a long day, drop your keys, and maybe mutter a quick "hey" to your wife who is busy in the kitchen. You eat dinner, talk about the kids' schedules, discuss which bill needs to be paid, and then retreat to your separate corners. Maybe you scroll through your phone on the couch while she watches a show in the bedroom. Then, it's lights out. You sleep in the same bed, but you might as well be miles apart. There is no yelling. There is no throwing plates. on the surface, everything looks "fine." But deep down, you know the fire is gone. You aren't lovers anymore; you are logistics managers. You are business partners running "Family, Inc." This is roommate syndrome. It is one of the most insidious threats to modern marriage because it doesn't look like a crisis. It looks like peace. But as we discussed on the podcast, silence isn't always peace; sometimes, it's just the sound of a marriage slowly suffocating. If you feel like you and your wife are just "ships in the night," passing each other in the hallway with a high-five before handling the next task, you are in the danger zone. Defining the Diagnosis: What is Roommate Syndrome? Roommate syndrome is exactly what it sounds like: a relationship dynamic where the romantic, spiritual, and emotional connection has eroded, leaving only a functional partnership. You share a mortgage, a Netflix password, and maybe some DNA in the form of children, but you don't share hearts. In the podcast, we talked about how easy it is to slide into this. Life gets busy. Careers demand 60 hours a week. Kids need to be driven to practice. The "tyranny of the urgent" takes over, and the first thing to get cut from the schedule is the energy required to pursue your spouse. The problem with roommate syndrome is that it feels safe. It's comfortable. It doesn't demand vulnerability. You can stay in your lane, she stays in hers, and you avoid the messy work of intimacy. But God did not design marriage to be a co-op living arrangement. He designed it to be a reflection of Christ and the Church—a union of oneness. When we settle for roommate syndrome, we aren't just missing out on a better marriage; we are missing the very point of the covenant we made. The "Middle of the Movie" Trap We all love the beginning of a romance movie. It's exciting, passionate, and full of pursuit. And we like the end, where the old couple sits on the porch holding hands, having weathered the storms of life. But as Joshua pointed out in the podcast, nobody likes the "middle part of the movie." The middle is where the work happens. The middle is where the bills pile up, the babies are crying at 3:00 AM, and the exhaustion sets in. This is the breeding ground for roommate syndrome. It is in this "boring middle" that we stop trying. We assume that because we said "I do" five or ten years ago, the work is done. But marriage isn't a slow cooker; you can't just set it and forget it. If you stop feeding the fire, it will go out. Many men find themselves in the grip of roommate syndrome simply because they stopped dating their wives once they "sealed the deal." They stopped asking questions. They stopped listening. They replaced curiosity with routine. The Danger of "We're Just Fine" If someone asked you how your marriage is right now, would you say, "We're fine"? "Fine" is the most dangerous four-letter word in a marriage. "Fine" is the waiting room for divorce. When you are suffering from roommate syndrome, "fine" is the lie you tell yourself to avoid rocking the boat. You might think, "Well, we aren't fighting." But the absence of conflict is not the presence of intimacy. Two corpses in a morgue don't fight either, but that doesn't mean they have a relationship. Roommate syndrome thrives on apathy. It convinces you that a lack of arguing is a sign of health, when in reality, it might just mean you've both stopped caring enough to engage. As mentioned in the episode, lack of communication is the primary fuel for roommate syndrome. You stop sharing your fears, your dreams, and your struggles because it takes too much effort, or you fear rejection. So you talk about the weather. You talk about the schedule. You keep it surface level. And slowly, the woman you promised to give your life to becomes a stranger you live with. The Generational Shift: Staying vs. Leaving There is an interesting generational divide when it comes to roommate syndrome. The Older Generation: Often stays together out of duty. They might sleep in separate rooms or live separate lives for 30 years, resigned to the fact that "this is just how it is." They honor the commitment, but they lose the joy. The Younger Generation: Often views roommate syndrome as a valid reason to bail. The mindset is, "I'm not happy, I'm not fulfilled, so I'm out." Neither of these is the biblical model. God doesn't want you to be miserable or divorced. He wants you to be restored. Whether you have been married for 36 years or 6 years, roommate syndrome is not a life sentence. It is a warning light on the dashboard. It's telling you that the engine needs oil. We have to reject the cultural lie that says passion inevitably fades and that becoming roommates is the natural evolution of a long marriage. That is false. Intimacy changes, yes, but it should deepen, not disappear. Vulnerability: The Cure for the Common Roommate So, how do you break free from roommate syndrome? It starts with the one thing men hate most: vulnerability. You have to be the one to break the silence. You have to be the one to say, "Hey, I feel like we are drifting apart, and I miss you." That is terrifying. It opens you up to rejection. She might say, "Well, that's your fault." She might not be ready to hear it. But as the leader of your home, you cannot wait for her to fix the dynamic. Roommate syndrome feeds on pride. It says, "I won't pursue her until she respects me," or "I'm tired of trying." You have to kill that pride. You have to be willing to look foolish in the pursuit of your wife's heart. In the podcast, we discussed the importance of talking through the disconnect. You can't fix what you won't name. If you are just "high-fiving in the hallway," sit her down. Ask her, "Do you feel like we are just roommates?" You might be surprised to find that she has been feeling the exact same loneliness but was too afraid to bring it up. The "Hunting License" on Your Life Here is a concept from the podcast that might sting a bit: Your wife has a "hunting license" on your life. When you got married, you gave her the right to call you out. You gave her the right to speak into your blind spots. Often, roommate syndrome sets in because men revoke that license. We get defensive. We stop listening to her input because it feels like nagging. So, she stops talking. She stops trying to help you grow. She withdraws. And suddenly, you have peace and quiet, but you also have roommate syndrome. To heal, you have to re-issue that license. You need to invite her back into your life as a partner, not just a spectator. Ask her, "Where am I failing you? How can I love you better?" When you give her permission to speak truth into your life again, you bridge the gap that roommate syndrome created. You show her that you value her voice more than your ego. The Spiritual Disconnect We cannot talk about roommate syndrome without talking about your spiritual walk. If you and your wife are spiritually disconnected, you will inevitably be relationally disconnected. The Bible talks about being "unequally yoked." Usually, we apply this to a believer marrying a non-believer. But it can happen in a Christian marriage too. If you are growing in your faith and she is stagnant, or if she is chasing God and you are content with Sunday morning Christianity, you are pulling in different directions. Roommate syndrome is often a symptom of a spiritual drought. When was the last time you prayed with your wife? Not just over a meal, but really prayed? When was the last time you discussed Scripture together? If the answer is "I don't remember," then you have found the root of the problem. Intimacy with God fuels intimacy with your spouse. If you are running on empty spiritually, you have nothing to offer her but your own limited patience and energy. Practical Steps to Evict the Roommate You can't just think your way out of roommate syndrome; you have to act your way out. Here are practical steps to start turning the ship around today: 1. The 10-Minute Check-In Stop the "ships in the night" routine. Dedicate 10 minutes every day—no screens, no kids—to just talk. And you can't talk about logistics. No bills, no schedules. Ask about her heart. Ask about her day. Re-learn the art of conversation. 2. Date Your Wife Again It sounds cliché, but it works. When you were dating, you put in the effort. You shaved, you made plans,

Let your stomach be a balloon inflate,  deflate. Scripture for Meditation NIV Genesis 1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?" 2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'" NKJV 3 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?" 2 And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.' " Reflection on Scripture: I think sometimes when we talk about life we longingly consider how good life would be if Adam and Eve didn't mess everything up. I have heard some commentary on Genesis that says the fall of Adam is not what God intended. I find this a confusing take. God prepared his saving plan since before the formation of the world. Satan did not defeat God on the first real opportunity to do so. Satan is always trying to mess up God's plan but evil will lose. God is sovereign and all powerful. He is the one who placed the tree of Good and Evil in the garden to begin with. He did not place it a thousand miles away. He placed it in the garden. The Forbidden fruit was from the Tree of Good an evil. When Satan comes tempting you, trying to be crafty and derail your plan. Turn away and turn to God, the true source of eternal knowledge of good and evil. He is the one that makes it possible for our eyes to be opened. He opens the eyes of the blind. He takes us from our weakness and teaches us how to love Him. He teaches us how to overcome our sin. He shows us the way back to the Father and it is only through Him. When you are tempted it may seem as though God's plan is breaking down. This is not a failure of God's plan. It is a fulfillment of it. God prepared salvation for you since before your birth and before the creation of the world. God will not fail you. God's plan is never derailed by difficulty. God's plan is never derailed by our sin. God's plan will never fail. That plan includes offering salvation to those who will trust on the holy name of Jesus. Trust in the one who never fails.  Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate,  deflate. Scripture for Meditation NABRE 21 So the Lord God cast a deep sleep on the man, and while he was asleep, he took out one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. 22 The Lord God then built the rib that he had taken from the man into a woman. When he brought her to the man, 23 the man said: "This one, at last, is bone of my bones     and flesh of my flesh; This one shall be called 'woman,'     for out of man this one has been taken." 24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife, and the two of them become one body. 25 The man and his wife were both naked, yet they felt no shame. ESV 21 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. 22 And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. 23 Then the man said, "This at last is bone of my bones     and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman,     because she was taken out of Man." 24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. 25 And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed. Reflection on Scripture: The final stage of creation that God did was to create Man then Woman. Eve was the final act of creation. In our modern society we have totally lost the unity this was meant to entail. With a fallen perspective man and women are in competition for power, influence, and dominance. This was not what we were created to be. We were meant to be united as husband and wife as one flesh. Adam said bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. This is the biblical basis for man and woman cleaving to each other and becoming one flesh.  I invite you to ponder what your perspective is on this? Do you embrace the perspective of the world? Do you feel that all men or women have certain characteristics that are the source of relationship conflicts? The truth is that both men and women are fallen. Many people have had such poor exposure to marriage, either parents or personally, Dont allow the fallen world destroy your perspective of what marriage should be.  Regardless of the experience you have had so far with the marriage relationships or not, know this, the world is seeking to destroy faithful families greater than any single thing. Challenge any notions that would favor one gender above the other. Yield your understanding of sexual ethics, gender ethics, and goodness overall, yeild them all to God. Trust in Him to direct you toward what God wants for you.  Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate,  deflate. Scripture for Meditation RSV 36 And there was a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phan′u-el, of the tribe of Asher; she was of a great age, having lived with her husband seven years from her virginity, 37 and as a widow till she was eighty-four. She did not depart from the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day. 38 And coming up at that very hour she gave thanks to God, and spoke of him to all who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem. NAB 36 There was also a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in years, having lived seven years with her husband after her marriage, 37 and then as a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple, but worshiped night and day with fasting and prayer. 38 And coming forward at that very time, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were awaiting the redemption of Jerusalem. Reflection on Scripture: The prophetess, Anna, dedicated her life to God. This scripture outlines her frequency in the temple as well as prayer and fasting. She was where God's presence was represented to be. As a result she was able to see the redemption of God and was able to share it. Catholics and Orthodox Christians hold Anna in reverence as a Saint. It is such an interesting micro story that is shared here. The woman is called a prophetess and it references her father as though we are supposed to know who he is. Or perhaps symbolically because his name means "Face of God" One fact that is hard to deny is that if we spend our time where godly things happen, we are more likely to encounter godly things. If we want to encounter God more in our life we should ponder on going to the places where His presence is represented for example church and making our home a sanctuary to the Lord. I sometimes reflect on the nature of this dedication. Obviously us as fallen and sinful humans don't get to decide where God goes based on what we dedicate to Him. God can choose to go anywhere God wants to go. With that said, when we dedicate places to God and set it apart, such as the Temple, we put ourselves in the kind of mind where we look for and see God more. Perhaps it is because he chooses to bless us with His presence to encourage us to do more of the things that He wants.  So the invitation stands for us to dedicate our homes as sanctuaries to God and treat them as such, not making habits of sins that would challenge that dedication. Also spending time with Godly music, and also spending time in community with others in church attendance and worship. Also making prayer and fasting a part of our process of building a relationship with the Lord. 830 Consecration to the Lord Based on Sacrifice, A Guided Christian Meditation on Luke 2:22-24 with the Recenter With Christ app The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in  and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ. Scripture for Meditation ESV NIV 22 When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord 23 (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, "Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord"), 24 and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: "a pair of doves or two young pigeons." KJV 22 And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord; 23 (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;) 24 And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons. Reflection on Scripture: I almost always record my episodes moments before posting them. If you ever see them posted at 2 or 3 in the morning that is because I just finished editing them. For the last couple weeks I have been sleeping in the desert with my Marines so I pre-recorded the episodes. This year the Christmas season somewhat snuck up on me because of this trip. I slept on the ground and in the cold in the dirt. Each time I am presented with these hardships it makes me so grateful for my blessings. Sometimes the things we do in life can challenge our focus or have us asking why things happen the way they do. From moments of discomfort, grief, anxiety, or temptation sometimes our small human minds find it difficult to feel seen by a perfect on loving God.  This scripture points out something. The sacrifice for two doves was an option in place of a sheep, which would have cost much more. The sacrifice of two pigeons was known as the offering for the poor. Mary, the mother of Jesus, the very Son of God offered the sacrifice of the poor. She and Joseph must have had very little by way of earthly assets. With that said, this was far from a judgment about their quality. Our struggles serve us well when they draw our attention to the Lord and our dependance on Him.  When hardship turns our focus to God and makes us more grateful, then that hardship becomes a blessing. Mary's poverty existed conjointly with her humility. Whatever you wished your life would have been, whatever you wished would be different about your family, or this season, or any other earthly outcome it does not change God's profound love. Actually if our human weaknesses point our focus to God then we are indeed blessed. Thank God for our struggle, may it ever draw our focus to Him. During this Christmas, don't focus on what made this season incomplete, allow any challenge to draw your attention to the one who redeems all. He has overcome the world, and as such so will we. Merry Christmas. God bless us, every one.   Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Why do high-achievers feel perpetually behind, even while consuming more content than ever? In this conversation, Pat Flynn explains the trap of “overlearning” and how it quietly keeps us stuck in motion without progress. You'll learn how to shift from “just-in-case” learning to “just-in-time” learning, create real momentum with a simple four-step framework, and protect what matters most with practical boundaries. Along the way, Pat shares how these principles helped him build multiple successful businesses (including a Pokémon channel with millions of followers) without sacrificing his family, health, or joy.Memorable Quotes“We all, in a way, are not just our overlearning, but we're getting over-inspired. We're so connected with so many amazing people out there who teach us this and push us over here, and then we're pulled over this way. We're spread so thin it's we're we're not seeing any results in our own life.”“Now we all have access to all the same kind of information, but we're still treating it as if it's scarce…However, we now live in a buffet line of information… and we're not quite evolved to absorb all of this because we're stuffing our plates full. Not only are we getting bloated and and and slowed down, but we're also getting force-fed on these platforms.”“This is the difference between ‘just-in-case learning,' which is what we've all been doing, and ‘just-in-time learning,' which is learning what you need to know to just take that next step. Because truly the action of taking that next step, the results of that one way or another—whether there are good results or bad results—can teach you so much more than just absorbing this information and never taking any action at all.” “[Silence] allows me to be with myself and to digest the things that I've already learned, to think about my priorities and the things I've already committed to. It allows me to make creative connections between things that I have already picked up instead of just getting more puzzle pieces to try to figure out where they go.”“I mean I was always taught that again, ‘The more you know the more successful you'll be,' and there's always seemingly opportunities to inject more of that learning. And it has this sort of fake productivity that goes along with it, because it is only truly productive, in my opinion, when you actually put into action those things that you do read or listen to or watch.”“At our authors retreat, a theme across most of the people there was not optimizing for revenue, not optimizing for scale, but optimizing for peace. And that was huge to think about.”“If I give myself five months to learn, I'm gonna take five months to learn it. If I give myself five hours to learn, I'm gonna take five hours to learn it. So I almost use time as a tool to help me get to the point of action and then understanding sooner.”“I've developed this rule called the 20% Itch Rule, and that is, out of all the things you do, 80% of your time is dedicated to the things you've already committed to, the things that, the responsibilities you have, the things that you've already said, yes to. The last 20% of time, allocate for curiosity, for play, for experimentation.”Key TakeawaysOverlearning Is a Hidden Productivity Trap. Constant consumption creates a sense of progress without producing results—and often adds more “to-dos” than your life can hold.Shift from “Just-in-Case” to “Just-in-Time.” Learn only what you need for the next step, then take action. Real learning accelerates through doing.Use the 4-Step Lean Learning Cycle. Identify the next step → choose one resource → implement → review. Repeat.Silence Helps You Digest What You Already Know. Pat's “silent car” habit creates space for integration, creativity, and clarity.Watch for “Junk Sparks.” Many ideas are just distractions dressed up as opportunity—especially when algorithms reduce the friction to buy, click, or binge.Try the “20% Itch Rule.” Dedicate 80% of your time to current commitments and responsibilities, and reserve 20% for curiosity, experimentation, and play—without blowing up your life.Optimize for Peace, Not Scale. More revenue isn't always worth the hidden cost. A Double Win means there's still room for what makes you feel most alive.ResourcesSmart Passive Income (Pat's Business)Superfans (Book)Lean Learning (Book)Watch on YouTube at:  https://youtu.be/aLp6hHTrYQsThis episode was produced by Sarah Vorhees Wendel of VW Sound
