Former President Trump appeared in a New York court on Monday for jury selection in his hush money trial. Over the next six months, the former President will be facing criminal trials across multiple states, all while making his pitch on the campaign trail in the 2024 election. Former New York City prosecutor Elliot Felig joins the Rundown to explain the charges that the former President faces. Later, Professor of Government at the University of Texas at Austin and member of the FOX News Decision Desk, Daron Shaw, joins to discuss how the former President will handle the campaign trail and how these cases impact public opinion. The Supreme Court will hear arguments on Tuesday regarding the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021. Hundreds of individuals who participated in the insurrection are facing various charges. However, former police officer Joseph Fisher is appealing his conviction and arguing that the obstruction law used to charge him does not apply. If the Supreme Court decides that the prosecutors stretched the meaning of the law, it could lead to two charges against former President Trump being dropped. To explain the obstruction charge and how it could impact Trump's legal fate, Sol Wisenberg, a FOX News contributor and former deputy independent counsel in the Whitewater and President Clinton investigations, joins the podcast. Plus, commentary by columnist David Marcus. Photo Credit: AP Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In 2021, we saw record deal values of over USD$4.2 trillion in global M&A activity. However the global deal values had a 33% decline in the second half of 2022 compared to the first half. The market downturn in M&A conditions was also reflected in Asia, although the region as a whole held up relatively better activity-wise than most others. A question of whether 2022 was just a temporary setback for Asia M&A arises, together with how optimistic are we for 2023 given the resilience of the region. Irina Atkentjeva, our host, together with our M&A partners Tommy Tong and Joseph Fisher will explore the above in this episode. They will also talk about which sectors will drive activity in the region in their view, what other sectors may catch up, deal structures and terms we expect to see and how are M&A activity levels in 2023 so far. For more thoughts and insights on the global M&A market for 2023, read our Global M&A report 2023 – Headwinds, Tailwinds and Fog: https://insights.hsf.com/global-ma-outlook-2023/p/1

"We are all the canvas, and I am the piece." In his engaging, intriguing song, "I Should Have Been a Milkman," Joseph Fisher-Schramm explores the complex relationship between artist, art, and audience. Poetic and prodding, "I Should Have Been A Milkman" uses a plethora of instruments and vocal lines to paint a picture in which creation and creator spar for the delight of the crowd--but things are not always as they appear. In this candid conversation about the inspiration behind what Joseph refers to as "Milkman," Joseph and Emmeline discuss the influence music school can have on one's compositions, the difference between writing spontaneously and deliberately, and how everything an artist does, hears, or sees somehow weaves its way into their art. To hear Joseph's beautiful album, Starving by Design, Vol. 1, check out his independent record label, A Study in Expression, on Bandcamp. Results from LFA 90 and UFC Vegas 9 as well as new matchups and fight announcements in your Colorado MMA News, Weekend WrapUp. Kelsey Arneson of Trials MMA got the weekend started at LFA 90 where she took on highly touted prospect, Tabitha Ricci in her pro debut. Arneson didn't come out on top when the fight went to the judges score cards, but she took to social media after the fight to let her fans and supporters know that she will use this as a great learning experience. Watch out for what's next for Kelsey Arneson. On Saturday night, UFC Vegas 9 took place at the UFC Apex center and two of Colorado's Team Elevation athletes fought on the card. First up was Montana De La Rosa who put her warrior spirit on display, fighting in a competitive back and forth striking affair. De La Rosa's opponent was able to land a bit harder during the exchanges and the judges felt that it was enough to take home the decision. De La Rosa moves to 11-6 as a pro after the loss. And in the Main Event, living legend Alistair Overeem lived up to his nickname once again as The Demolition Man picked up the 47th win of his pro career and his 42nd career finish.
