We are to rejoice in the Lord always, and let our reasonable faith be known to all as we resist anxious worry by petitioning God with thanksgiving. Focus on the things of God and find his peace in this life.
4/13/2025: Siyoung Jung 4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
Even though we know the facts concerning eternal life, we still seem to fail the test of living in the present. I fail to rejoice in the Lord always, especially when life goes "wrong" in all kinds of ways. Paul, convinced of his future with Christ Jesus, changed his perspective on how he experienced his life in the present. Not matter what – he could "rejoice in the Lord always." What we know and believe about our future in Christ changes our perspective on life in the present.

God designed you to be happy. In Philippians 4:4, the Apostle Paul writes, “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!” Paul uses the Greek word “chairo,” which means to be filled with joy. It is a constant state of happiness based on your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ (not people, places, things, circumstances). This happiness is one of the weapons you use to defeat the things Satan is throwing your way. It's God's problem-solving device number nine: Sharing the happiness of God. “Happy are those who hear the Word of God and obey it” (Luke 11:28).Download Transcript: https://rhem.pub/rejoice-lord-99681d
God is always our rock, our anchor, our joy and our peace. He is always with us and is always working on our behalf and is worthy of our total trust. By Pastor Shawn Lyons.
This sermon was preached by Dan Howell at the Fallowfield site of Christ Church Manchester on Sunday 9th February 2025 from Philippians 4:4-9.
Heart of a Man is a men's community based our Carmel, IN. We exist to deeply connect men with a brotherhood equally committed to learning, growing, walking through life together and deepening in faith. Our mission is to build men into character-driven, committed disciples of Jesus, equipped to forge healthy, life-giving relationships at home, at work, and in their communities. Today's lesson is from our Director of Operations, Kyle Moore, where he dives into the story of Exodus 4, showcasing how the Lord provided for Moses and how he always provides for his children even if the manner in which he provides isn't exactly what we wanted, expected, or hoped for. In this exhortation, Pastor Marshall Segal exhorts us from the happiest book in the Bible with Paul's words while imprisoned in Philippians 4:4 – Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say rejoice.
Philippians 4:4 Pastor Charlie Greenwell starts with this well known verse to examine what it means and why we should obey this command from the Lord. The post Rejoice in the Lord Always appeared first on Grace Church of Tallahassee.

The main goal of the Society of Saint Pius X is to preserve the Catholic Faith in its fullness and purity, to teach its truths, and to diffuse its virtues, especially through the Roman Catholic priesthood. Authentic spiritual life, the sacraments, and the traditional liturgy are its primary means of bringing this life of grace to souls.
