With June comes Pride and 2020 is certainly a Pride year for the record books. We’re still living under a global pandemic with all in-person celebrations cancelled. But thankfully, America is finally demanding change against systematic racism through the #BlackLivesMatter movement in a way that we haven’t seen since the 1960s. It’s a powerful moment in history and it leaves me feeling motivated and inspired. Pride is not cancelled, just because large gatherings can’t happen. In times of crisis, it’s so easy to feel overwhelmed and surrounded by fear. Daylight Saving Time is over and the days are getting shorter. The holiday decorations are coming out way too quickly, the turkeys are running for their lives and everyone's cuddling up a little closer with that person they want to spend winter huddled indoors with.
