We're rounding out MAY-dy Gaga with the most recent studio album from the Mother Monster herself, MAYhem (Mayhem). It's been great exploring her discography this month!

80 episodes?? Already? And yet there's still so much to talk about. This week we talk about Mother Monster's new album Mayhem. I saw not 1 but 2 celebs at Disneyland when I went last week. Who were they?? Apparently people are over the "Hollywood Veneers". I saw a Tik Tok saying that Dua Lipa is not a pop star but an influencer. I have things to say about that. Millie Bobby Brown can't catch a break no matter what she does. She has thoughts about what journalists keep writing about her. She even goes as far to call them out by name. Steve Carell teamed up with a charity organization to help students of the LA wildfires get to prom. On the Kardashians Kendall has the nerve to get mad at her family for not messaging her directly about an event they were attending. Apparently she doesn't have the time to read group chats. I have thoughts about this as well. A cover of Joni Mitchell is going viral on Tik Tok, sang by none other than Amanda Seyfried. New Narnia movie is in the work with Greta Gerwig directing and supposedly Charli XCX is signed on to play the White Witch?? Chelsea Handler has scored her 6th #1 New York Times Best Selling book. The Black Eyed Peas are celebrating 30 years of making music. And last but certainly not least, Eternal Sunshine has had its first birthday and Miss Ariana has teased a deluxe album coming soon. Thanks for listening!

Get ready for a wild ride, betch — today's show had it all! Mother Monster herself Lady Gaga opened up to us about her new album Mayhem, describing it as a collection of dark dreams expressed through celebration, with Abracadabra embodying resilience on the dancefloor. Then, buckle up because we dove into one of the weirdest money grabs of the year: a Pokemon-shaped Cheeto is up for auction for over $100k! That’s right — a crispy, cheesy Pikachu might just be someone’s next investment piece. We can’t decide if we’re impressed or horrified. New Music Friday brought the bangers, as always. We ran through the freshest tracks you need in your life right now — cue the impromptu studio dance party. In the Glossys, we unpacked the just-dropped Glastonbury lineup for this year. It’s stacked with massive names, and honestly, we’re already mentally packing our gumboots. Ricki’s mum, Loretta, stole the show when she called in with an update on Cyclone Alfred. The storm was fierce, but Loretta’s commentary was even fiercer. She’s a hoot, and we’re still giggling. And finally, a special shoutout to Joel, who achieved something monumental — reverse parallel parking like an absolute pro. Small win? Maybe. But it deserves a full-on celebration in our books. Crank up the volume and catch all the chaos — you won’t want to miss this!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Lady Gaga is more than your average pop star. From the early modest days of sewing her own costumes and singing about disco sticks, she has continually reinvented herself along the way to become one of the planet's biggest stars of both music and film. She's won Grammys, an Oscar and every award in between. She's sold over 170 million records and generated hundreds of millions of dollars with her groundbreaking tours. She's stolen the screen next to leading men such as Bradley Cooper in A Star Is Born and Joaquin Phoenix in this year's Joker: Folie à Deux. Heck, she even pivoted to jazz with remarkable success, becoming BFFs with her mentor and collaborator, the late, great Tony Bennett.  She's also become a tireless advocate for UNICEF, the Rainforest Foundation, the LGBTQ+ community, and mental wellness. And let's not forget, she is the matriarch to millions of little monsters out there who continue to worship their Mother Monster. How's that compare to your résumé?Yes, Lady Gaga is one of music's greatest overachievers, but to quote one of her biggest hits: she was born this way. Her breakthrough single, “Just Dance” instantly became a club hit, reaching the Billboard dance charts soon after. It would also hit the Hot 100 in the U.S., but it was in Canada where “Just Dance” would first reach #1. Finally, Lady Gaga's debut album, The Fame, was released via Interscope on August 19, 2008. The album would produce hit after hit - with fans waiting to see what she would be wearing, and how she would creatively one-up herself with ever video, and every public appearance. On November 10, 2009, she released the song that would become arguably the biggest song and video of her career. “Bad Romance” was an instant smash hit, with its “Rah, rah-ah-ah-ah, Roma, roma-ma, Gaga-ooh-la-la” chant, Hitchcock references and a pounding beat that channels German techno. This is the story of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance - with newly unearthed audio from Gaga herself! Encore will be going on a brief summer hiatus! See you in July for season 4!
