La fecha fue instaurada tomando como referencia la impresión del primer ejemplar de la Gazeta de Buenos Ayres, el 7 de junio de 1810, que dejaría de publicarse en 1821. Fue el primer órgano de difusión de las ideas patrióticas de la Primera Junta de Gobierno, impulsado por el abogado, periodista y político Mariano Moreno, partícipe de la Revolución de Mayo. En su redacción participaron también Juan José Castelli, Manuel Belgrano, Manuel Alberti, Pedro Agrelo y Bernardo de Monteagudo, entre otros. Debido a la trascedencia que tuvo, por ser el primer diario que funcionó en el país desde la etapa independentista, se estableció la fecha para conmemorar el Día del Periodista. En 1938, del Primer Congreso de Periodistas surgieron los primeros escritos del Estatuto Profesional Ley 12-908, sancionada por el Congreso Nacional en 1944. Aquel encuentro, llevado a cabo en la provincia de Córdoba, estableció que el 7 de junio se celebre el Día del Periodista. El Auditorio Víctor Villegas de Murcia acoge este martes la tercera edición de "Circularmente", un evento clave enmarcado en la Semana Europea Verde que busca transformar el tejido productivo regional hacia un modelo de economía circular.Bajo la organización del Instituto de Fomento (INFO), la jornada tiene como objetivo principal concienciar y preparar a las empresas y emprendedores ante el impacto de las nuevas normativas europeas de sostenibilidad que entran en vigor este año 2026.Rafael Ataz, jefe de iniciativas europeas y sostenibilidad del INFO, ha subrayado que el evento pretende ayudar al sector empresarial a transitar desde la economía lineal tradicional hacia prácticas que fomenten la reutilización, la extensión de la vida útil de los productos y el aprovechamiento de las cadenas de valor. Ataz destacó que el cumplimiento de estas normas, tanto las obligatorias como las de carácter voluntario, supone una mejora en la posición competitiva de las empresas murcianas en un mercado global cada vez más resiliente.El encuentro ha contado con testimonios reales de éxito, como el de la empresa Tecnodiesel. Su director financiero, Jesús Martínez Ferrer, ha expuesto cómo la economía circular forma parte del ADN de la compañía mediante la reutilización profesional de componentes de automoción bajo estrictos estándares de calidad. Durante su intervención, Martínez Ferrer ha reivindicado la importancia del "derecho a reparar" y la implementación del pasaporte digital para garantizar la trazabilidad completa de los productos, permitiendo que componentes complejos como las baterías de vehículos eléctricos puedan ser reparados en lugar de desechados.Para facilitar esta transición, el INFO ha presentado un plan de apoyo estratégico resultado de un proceso de audiencia con el sector. Este plan incluye herramientas como el "cheque de sostenibilidad" para el cálculo de la huella de carbono e hídrica, así como servicios de formación avanzada y asesoramiento en gobernanza (ESG). (Aniversario de la Muerte de Mario Moreno «Cantinflas») Todo el Barrio Latino de Nueva York estuvo alborotado ese día. Hubo desfiles populares, marchas militares tocadas por magníficas bandas, banderas, confeti, cohetes y pancartas. Era el 4 de mayo de 1983. Ese día, por iniciativa de las Naciones Unidas, Cantinflas, el popular comediante mexicano, fue declarado «Símbolo de paz y alegría de las Américas». Entre los maestros de ceremonias que animaron la celebración estuvieron otros dos grandes actores hispanos: Ricardo Montalbán y José Ferrer. Si hubieran decidido postergar la celebración diez años, habrían tenido que referirse a Cantinflas en el pretérito, ya que falleció el 20 de abril de 1993. Menos mal que aprovecharon la vida del genio artístico para celebrarla. «No deja de tener su nota inspiradora este homenaje a Mario Moreno “Cantinflas” —comenta el Hermano Pablo algún tiempo después en Un Mensaje a la Conciencia—.... Porque es aleccionador celebrar a un hombre que sabe hacer reír y que encarna la sencillez, la bondad, la resignación del pobre, el desinterés y el altruismo. »Indica que todavía se aprecian en el mundo las virtudes de Cantinflas. Y como Mario Moreno también en la vida real es un hombre generoso, altruista, filántropo, humilde y desinteresado —señala el Hermano Pablo—, el homenaje tiene doble significado. »Ya he mencionado más de una vez a este famoso actor hispano —sigue disertando acerca de Cantinflas aquel admirador suyo, conocido también por su nombre artístico y no por su apellido—.
