Welcome to fall, y'all! Jackie and Kyle are back for the greatest debate of all time, was Albus Dumbledore a menace to society, or did he only give a shit about himself? Before they get into (read: fight about) it, Kyle discusses being tired of people who talk about their kid's age in months (who has the time for that kind of math?!) and Jackie talks about her disdain for those who use their phone while working out. In this episode, Jackie describes a new-fangled type of narcissism, Compensatory Narcissistic Personality Disorder that some randos on the internet have decided that Albus Dumbledore has. Despite using differing sources for their knowledge (Kyle = books, Jackie = movies), both agree that Compensatory Narcissistic Personality Disorder is probably not a thing. Later on, Jackie has a fun game of Would You Rather regarding some of the most famous drinks in the Harry Potter world.Sources for this episode:https://careersinpsychology.org/about-narcissistic-personality-disorder/https://whatculture.com/film/8-movie-heroes-who-definitely-have-personality-disorders?page=9#:~:text=1.,Dumbledore%20%2D%20Compensatory%20Narcissistic%20Personality%20Disorderhttps://www.thehealthboard.com/what-is-compensatory-narcissism.htmhttps://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/ambigamy/201904/compensatory-narcissism-is-natural-life-stage Don't forget to connect with your two tired therapists through e-mail (twotiredtherapists@gmail.com), Instagram (@twotiredtherapists), and Facebook (Two Tired Therapists). Podcast Description: In the final part of this three-part series, we touch on the commonly discussed 'fruit of the Spirit. Many of us have been taught that the fruit of the Spirit is something you do, but we expose the truth behind what Paul is talking about in Galatians 5. This series aims at sharing the purpose of discipleship, sharing the Good News, and why it is important to fully embrace your call to advance the kingdom of God. Many believers, out of the feeling of entitlement, have the misconception that following Jesus leads to a trouble-free life that's void of danger and harm, but our aim is to sharpen your perspective on what life as a believer really looks like. We are challenging our listeners to fully embrace their calling, gifts, and assignment. In this episode, we share how the fruit of the Spirit is not for your own consumption, it is for growth and advancement of others. We touch on how you can only produce fruit through fellowship with God and allowing His character to be formed in you. Keys from This Episode: The fruit of the Spirit is evidence that you have the Spirit of God living inside you. Not every ministry is a ‘fruit bearing ministry'. The fruit is supposed to feed others, it's not for you. The only thing you can do is see the fruit bringing life to others and sometimes you'll feed from those you minister to. The fruit of the Spirit is produced by the Holy Spirit, not you. You can't ‘do the fruit' of the Spirit. Theme Scripture: Galatians 5:22-23 | 1 Peter 4:1-3 | Matthew 7:15-20 | Luke 13:26-27 | Mark 8:24 | Luke 3:9 | Luke 6:44 | Jude 1:12 | Revelation 8:7 | Matthew 3:8 | Matthew 3:10 | Matthew 13:8 | Matthew 21:19 | Luke 13:6-7 | John 4:36 | John 15:2-16 | Romans 1:13 | Ephesians 5:9 | Philippians 1:11 | 2 Timothy 2:6 | James 3:17 | Revelation 22:2 Welcome to the Alpha Talk Tuesday podcast! Podcast Description: In part two of this three-part series, we discuss what we will label as the 'process of faith'. In this episode, we give you insight into God's design process and why it's important to stay focused so you can be fruitful. Thoughts are a spiritual substance and you must know how to manage that spiritual substance in order to walk in power & authority as a child of God. Keys from This Episode: Thoughts have weight and texture in the spiritual realm. C.F.I - The process of faith is Create (Think & Imagine), Form (Add Shape & Structure), and Inspire (Breathe Into & Give Life) When you allow the Lord to shape your imagination, your work will produce much fruit in the earth. Man's comfort zone is sight. God's comfort zone is faith. Theme Scripture: Genesis 2:5 | Genesis 1:26-28 | Genesis 2:4-9 | John 1:1-5 | Genesis 2:10-16 | John 20:19-23 | Genesis 2:7 | Job 33:4 | John 14:16 | John 16:7 | Acts 8:15 | Acts 19:2 | Jeremiah 18:6 | Isaiah 64:8 | Genesis 2:25 | Exodus 27:7 | Proverbs 1:17 | Exodus 27:20-21 | Psalm 23:5 | 2 Timothy 3:5 | Isaiah 29:13 | Matthew 7:15 | Matthew 23:27-28 | Romans 2:20-24 | Titus 1:16 | Matthew 21:18-19 | Mark 11:12-25 Welcome to the Alpha Talk Tuesday podcast! In this episode, we begin a new series that aims at sharing the purpose of discipleship, sharing the Good News, and why it is important to fully embrace your call to advance the kingdom of God. In this series opener, we deal with the truth of what happened in the spirit when you chose to accept Christ and receive the Holy Spirit. You chose a side. Keys from This Episode: The moment we accepted Jesus, believed in Him, and chose to receive the Holy Spirit, was an act of war and a decision to choose a side. It was at this moment that we said ‘yes' to God and ‘no' to the enemy. By pledging allegiance to one kingdom, we declared war on another kingdom. Doublemindedness is not permitted in the Kingdom of God. Believers need to know and discern the difference between a hired hand and a true shepherd. Theme Scripture: Romans 10:13-15 | Matthew 10:16 | Matthew 10:34 | Mattgew 11:1 | Luke 19:23 | 1 Corinthians 10:21 | Roamns 11:13-14 | Mark 1:38 | Luke 12:39 | John 10:1 | John 10:10 | 1 Peter 4:15 | Luke 10:3 | John 10:12 | Acts 20:29 | John 10:28-30 Welcome to the Alpha Talk Tuesday podcast!
