Decisions are about change. To make effective decisions, you need to understand how change works. Change can happen at different levels, from small improvements to big paradigm shifts. Change happens at different speeds, too - some changes are immediate while others take longer to manifest. There are different types of changes, too. Some changes are pre-determined by what will bring joy, pleasure, or happiness. Other changes are more mindful decisions. And some changes are pivotal decisions that should be made with a well-oiled system in place to avoid bias. Michael Moon and Steven Gans are working on a project called "Decisions Zen”, which is a book about how to make better decisions faster, easier, and with less stress. Michael Moon is an author, speaker, and advisor who helps entrepreneurs and executives create disruptive innovation and transformational change. He is the author of Firebrands: Building Brand Loyalty in the Internet Age and Gratitude Protocols: Practical Habits of Solitude, Gratitude, and Abiding Love. Moon is a thought leader in the areas of transmedia branding, customer engagement, and personal growth. He has worked with some of the world's largest brands, including Adobe, Apple, Boeing, Disney, Gap, Nokia, and Warner Bros. Moon's work reflects his belief that we all have the potential to create positive change in our lives and in the world. Dr Steven Gans is the founder and former chairman of the London Institute for Management Studies. He was previously a Professor and Supervisor at Antioch University in California. He is the author of Just Listening: Ethics and Therapy by Steven Gans and Leon Redler. He is an expert in the field of Active / Reflective listening. He is also a facilitator and mentor and has worked with many different people in many different capacities. He is known for his dedication, enthusiasm, and ability to always see the positive in any situation. He is a great listener and motivator and is someone who genuinely cares about helping others. He is an absolute treasure and anyone would be lucky to have him in their life.

"Rather than condescendingly and misguidedly treating Darger only as a case study, we can look into his work for what it may tell us about both the powerful allure of mass-mediated narrative and imagery and the possibility (or impossibility) of escaping the labyrinthine and often terrifying histories and politics of which we in the world today are the direct heirs.” Michael Moon. Chapter 9: The Wild Weddings; or, The Polygamy Charge, & Chapter 10: How the Great Wind Went from Beacon House Although Dr. Pym proves that Smith has wooed and wed many women, Michael Moon still insists that Smith is innocent of the charge of polygamy. And after Moon wraps up the trial to (almost) everyone's satisfaction, Mary Gray has some simple but surprising life advice for Diana Duke and Rosamund Hunt. This episode concludes our reading of G. In his external life Darger was a pitiable figure, reclusive, impoverished, orphaned at 16, often regarded as crazy, suffering almost constant pain in his later years and working menial jobs his entire life. However in the internal world of his writings and art he was both a hero and anti-hero, creator of magical, violent world's and a fiercely determined protector of children.Cover image - Henry Darger - "At Obrigano Captured once when Glandelinians had attacked Dicies headquarter, house to left middle of pictures They escaped with the four younger children however" - circa 1955/60Reading ListHenry J. In this special episode of The Exam Room™, “The Weight Loss Champion” Chuck Carroll sits down to dinner with television news producer Justin Stewart, who has never eaten a plant-based meal in their life, let alone for Thanksgiving! We pulled out all the stops for this and had the food catered by Michael Moon of the Washington-based DC Vegan, who whipped up an out of this world feast of veganized classics! Will the plant-based mac and “cheese,” green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie be able to satisfy a skeptic? Let the games begin! Plus, surviving Thanksgiving can be tough for many who are plant-based. With only three percent of Americans identifying as vegan, there’s a good chance that somewhere at their table will be looking forward to turkey. Unfortunately, a relative or friend who doesn’t understand why anyone wouldn’t want to put the bird on the plate can come across as being pushy and overbearing. The pressure can be enough to make you want to pluck out your own hair. We have some tips on how to not only cope with the pressure, to get the most stalwart turkey aficionados to take a closer look at the health benefits of a plant-based diet. Hopefully, this dialogue will lead to a more harmonious dinner and healthy conversation for dessert! And yes, there are recipes!
