Once again we are delighted to welcome back Will Lindus of the Movie Bears Podcast! We love that we are able every once in a while to give this handsome gent the opportunity to talk comics on our show! We start the show off covering recent comic book news, primarily the universally despised changes to Comixology! This time the books in our figurative spinner rack include Super Massive #1 (Image), Stray Dogs (Image), Batman/Catwoman Special (DC), Catwoman: Special Day #2 (DC), Faithless III (Boom), Barbalien: Red Planet - From the World of Black Hammer (Dark Horse), Manor Black: Fire in the Blood (Dark Horse) and New Masters #1 (Image). A big guest like this deserves a big running time so strap in to join Will, Bill, Steve and Caleb for a 2-hours-and-change episode! (Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band also factors in ... because why not?)

For our first ever Christmas episode we declare our guest WILLIAM LINDUS of the MOVIE BEARS PODCAST to be our very own Christmas movie expert. And although he had not been previously made aware that he would be given this position he does a great job discussing the romantic merits of 2003's much beloved holiday movie ELF starring Will Ferrell. Can creeping up on someone as they shower, even if its just to sing along, be considered a Meet Cute? How about some shopping advice for old dad by selecting for him a nice negligee? Let us relieve some of your holiday stress by answering your burning questions of the season on our latest episode!Facebook/Instagram/Twitter: @grandgesturepodHosts: Dave @pccasestudy Mike @warmachinehorseEmail us your favorite romantic grand gestures in film at grandgesturepod@gmail.com
The latest installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise came out recently and there is no better time for the Comic Book Bears to bring back to the show William Lindus of the Movie Bears Podcast! Will joins Bryan, Justin, Bill and Steve to discuss the continuing big screen adventures of Star Lord, Rocket, Drax, Gamora, Baby Groot, Nebula, Yondu and more! And after some comic book related TV and film news, Will gets the chance to talk comic books with the CBBears as X-Men Blue, Secret Empire, Batman, The Flash, Bug and Youngblood are among the books on the spinner rack on this episode!!!
On this episode we talk about our passion for the look of Terrence Malick films with William Lindus of the Movie Bears Podcast and Jairo of The True Bromance Film Podcast. This is something we share with two of the filmmakers featured on this podcast as we discuss the merits of the Malick influence on Jonathan Levine's ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE and David Lowery's AIN'T THEM BODIES SAINTS. But before we get into those troubled love stories, we see if the man himself continues to trouble former fans as Mr. Malick continues to lose the narrative in his latest, SONG TO SONG. Twitter/Instagram/Letterboxd: @warmachinehorse You can also support this show with a donation on Patreon to get extra episodes or to program an episode with a film of your choosing.
On this episode we are joined by Brad from the Movie Bears Podcast to help tackle the elements found in the 2010 horror movie FROZEN and the somber Liam Neeson survival film THE GREY. But first Ben from Cinematic For the People joins for a filmgoing summit of new release EVEREST.
On this episode, we lament the lack of dramatic weight in the new MAGIC MIKE XXL, so we harken back to the struggling economic stituation of the first film with a dancing battle between FLASHDANCE and THE FULL MONTY. GUEST: Jim from the MOVIE BEARS PODCAST joins the show to talk Soderbergh, time capsules, and a bear in Game of Thrones.
Brother Bryan is out celebrating so Billy Z and Justin welcome William Lindus from the Movie Bears Podcast to the CBBears Den to fill the third seat! Will lets us in on his history reading comics then we get into current comics talk. You'll hear us rap about Saga, Earth 2, Forever Evil, Year Zero, Animal Man, Scooby Doo Team Up, Fearless Defenders, Avengers Arena, Longshot Saves the Marvel Universe (... again), X-Men: Legacy, Hawkeye, Amazing X-Men, Infinity, Inhumanity, The Fifth Beatle, the trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Gal Gadot cast as Wonder Woman, Alan Moore and Watchmen. All this plus a huge tangent about lousy haircut and facial hair choices in our collective past, Justin thinks Watchmen is boring and the movie was better, Bill can't pronounce "Moira Queen" to save his life and this episode is probably the only time you will hear Alan Moore being compared to Faye Dunaway. A word about the sound quality - for some reason when we recorded Bill was way over modulated and Will was a bit under modulated. We fixed it as best as we could in the mix to mono. If it is distracting, we still hope you will stick around because we think we get into some quality funny book conversation.
