Her debut album, 'Pieces of You,' yielded the hit single "Who Will Save Your Soul.". Jewel has received four Grammy Award nominations and, as of 2021, has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. Jewel was raised near Homer, Alaska, where she grew up singing and yodeling as a duo with her father, a local musician. At age fifteen, she received a partial scholarship at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, where she studied operatic voice. Jewel has also had endeavors in writing and acting; in 1998 she released a collection of poetry, and the following year appeared in a supporting role in Ang Lee's Western film Ride with the Devil (1999) which earned her critical acclaim. Jillian Jones is a recording singer and songwriter. She's been singing since she was 4, played piano and went to school for a music degree. After getting married she put music on the back burner. She spent 5-6 years away from music completely. During her second pregnancy she had a rough pregnancy with months on bedrest, two days her son was delevered healthy, she was diagnosed with a health scare and that was the catalyst for postpartum anxiety. If there is one thing that Scripture makes perfectly clear it is the truth that “a faith that saves is a faith that behaves.” Eternal life through Jesus Christ is not just a duration of life, it is a quality of life. We do not merely live forever, we live forever as new creatures who are different from those who are outside of Christ. Passages of Scripture like Colossians 3:5-11 help us to clearly see that we are called to a higher standard. What God commands of us, He will empower within us. This message removes all doubt about what saved people are to embrace and what we are to refuse. Paul gives a clear list of behaviors and calls all believers to align themselves with the high expectation of God. This message provides us with a gut check to examine ourselves and see if we are truly in the faith.
