John brings us another message from the 4th chapter of 2 Corinthians. Here we discover that God's greatest power is often displayed through our weakness. God intentionally places the treasure of trhe gospel into fragile people so that His power, not our strength, receives the glory and brings life to others.

Israel wasn't chosen because it was great. God said so himself. In this episode of MarsCast, Jared Luttjeboer and Dr. Alan Strange open Deuteronomy 7 and discuss how divine election has never been about merit, national greatness, or cultural superiority. So what does that mean for Christians today who are tempted to baptize political power with the language of chosenness? The answer, Dr. Strange argues, isn't disengagement, but the harder road of humble engagement, where the Beatitudes, not a political platform, shape how believers enter the public square.

In 2020, the police raided a large country home where multiple victims alleged they had been held against their will, beaten, and forced to work for upwards of 70 hours a week for free. When the police gained entry, they found that the church, Repent Heaven, had 20 years of financial records from over 130 members. But it wouldn't be until victims started to come forward that the investigators would realize they'd uncovered a human breeding cult.Find our merch here: https://koreantruecrime-shop.fourthwall.comJoin our discord today! We had a fun one today, starting out the show with a girl who spent weeks sweating in her car with no reason to! "Hood jars" are all the rage right now, and flooding social media feeds everywhere. Keystone Light has a bold promotion for America's 250th birthday, and Dave's fridge died in the worst month possible. But the big topic today came from X, where a woman's tweet about being propositioned by a tech at Valvoline has the internet at each other's throats! Mary & Blake recap and review Outlander Season 8 Episode 8, "In The Forest." In this episode, we discuss why this hour felt like a massive breath of fresh air, how Ronald D. Moore's return to the writer's chair changed the emotional temperature of the show, and why Jamie and William's forest scene finally gave us the father/son material we've been waiting for. We also get into Roger somehow becoming one of Blake's favorite parts of the episode — yes, really — Fanny possibly hearing the stones, the very convenient Frank "Deadeye" reveal, Claire's lack of screen time, Marsali's next step after Fergus, and why the Lord John cliffhanger feels a little too late in the season. Plus, Mary has serious issues with the condition of Frank's book, Blake is fully wearing Ron Moore footie pajamas, and Five Questions That Got Nothing To Do With Outlander somehow leads us to Jars of Clay, leftover pizza, mac and cheese, and the Universal Epic Universe How To Train Your Dragon soundtrack.
In this episode of the One Day At A Time Recovery Podcast, Arlina sits down with Joe Gallagher - entrepreneur, author, and two-year sober miracle. Joe shares his journey from childhood trauma and 20 years of failed recovery attempts to launching a spaghetti sauce company 60 days sober and landing interest from 1,100 grocery stores. You'll hear how Joe finally surrendered after his fifth arrest and seventh suicide attempt, what made this recovery stick when the previous two decades didn't, and how service, community, and massive action became the foundation of both his sobriety and his business. His book "From Bars to Jars: A Saucy Redemption Story" is available now, and his honesty about childhood abuse, self-forgiveness, and faith makes this one of the most courageous conversations on the show. In this installment of Winning at Honey with Stephanie Slater, Stephanie returns with seasonal reflections from Wisconsin and a practical deep dive into one of the most overlooked—but critical—elements of honey show success: selecting the right jars. As spring unfolds with unpredictable weather, Stephanie balances early-season beekeeping tasks like hiving nucs and making splits while also setting clear goals for the upcoming honey show season. Building on last year's success with dipped tapers and lessons learned from pollen entries, she emphasizes the importance of planning ahead—especially when aiming to enter new categories like comb honey. This month's listener question from Dave focuses on jar selection, opening the door to a detailed discussion on show requirements. Stephanie explains why glass jars are essential, the importance of uniformity, and how different categories—extracted, creamed, and chunk honey—require specific jar styles. She highlights the differences between classic and Queenline jars and shares how even sponsorship incentives can influence her choices at major competitions like the American Honey Show. Beyond style, Stephanie underscores the importance of jar quality and cleanliness. From inspecting for defects to avoiding lint contamination and removing lot numbers when possible, she walks through the meticulous preparation required to meet judging standards. Practical strategies—like sourcing jars through local suppliers or fellow beekeepers—offer accessible solutions for small-scale producers. The episode also spotlights the upcoming Eastern Apiculture Society Honey Show in Kentucky, detailing its wide range of categories and unique traditions, along with additional educational events and honey judge training opportunities across the U.S. Stephanie closes by encouraging listeners to set goals, refine their craft, and participate in the broader honey show community. Hey Heinous fans, thank you for your listenership and support through our latest season of Heinous. The team is taking a break to retool and recharge so that we can come back with even more new heinous cases. But in the meantime, we will be releasing full versions of some our most popular stories to tide you over. // From an early age, Lam Kor Wan had endured a tumultuous upbringing. Moving homes across countries, changing schools, receiving physical and verbal punishment from his father, and even committing acts of voyeurism and molestation. All this, however, would pale in comparison to his most heinous acts; as he roamed the streets of Hong Kong as a taxi driver looking for his victims, thereafter cementing himself as one of the country's most notorious serial killers. Part 1 - We explore the troubled background of Lam Kor Wan, and the events that led up to his first murder. Part 2 - We follow Lam Kor Wan as he continues his heinous streak, and how it all eventually came to an end. FYI we have just started a YouTube channel where you can watch these Heinous stories:https://www.youtube.com/@GrimAsia_1UpMedia Join your fellow Heinous fans and interact with the team at our website or through our socials (IG, TikTok) @heinous_1upmedia. - Love Heinous? John 2:1-11 On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there, 2 and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. 3 When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine." 4 "Woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied. "My hour has not yet come." 5 His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you." 6 Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons. 7 Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim. 8 Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet." They did so, 9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now." 11 What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
