A social media post caught minister Rashawn Copeland's attention when he was in a dark, desperate place, and he felt the love of God in that moment, which ultimately saved him from a destructive pattern in his life. Now, he emphasizes the importance of being real and authentic with young people, sharing our testimony, and treasuring the message we've been entrusted with, because sharing that truth has the power to save lives. Quotes “What changed everything for me was when I understood that I needed a new appetite for something far greater. And whatever has our attention has our affection. It changed everything for me to understand His love for me.” - Rashawn Copeland “We've been entrusted with this message that the world truly needs to hear, and we need to treasure it enough to tell those who don't know it.” - Rashawn Copeland “We're in a beautiful time where we can reach the multitudes and not only share the King, but help others to get to know the King. And it changes everything.” - Rashawn Copeland “When we are believers and we know what's real, when we know what's true, we need to speak, because someone's life literally depends on it.” - Rashawn Copeland Guest's Links Rashawn Copeland's website Rashawn Copeland's Instagram Rashawn Copeland's Facebook Rashawn Copeland's Twitter No Turning Back: Escape Your Past, Empower Your Present, and Experience God's Best for You Resources Mentioned in This Episode Bible Verse Daily on TikTokSoulja Boy Lil' Romeo Machine Gun Kelly Connect with Sally Lloyd-Jones Jesus Storybook Bible Facebook Jesus Storybook Bible Instagram Sally's website Sally's Facebook Sally's Instagram *Episode produced by Four Eyes Media*

At 17, Rashawn was lying in a parking lot bleeding out from a gunshot wound. At 26, he was in a Hollywood mansion with a gun in his mouth ready to end it all. All his life he’d been pursuing fame and pleasure, trying to prove his 4th grade teacher wrong who’d told him he wasn’t enough. But fame and pleasure didn’t heal him. And in the moment between eternal life and death he heard the ping of a social media message from the only Jesus follower he knew. Rashawn Copeland joins our team to share his riveting story. Rashawn and his bride Denisse are the founders of Without Walls Ministries. Their passion is to see our brokenness healed and point us to the beauty of Jesus through social media. Have you ever thought about whether you are a Mary or a Martha from the Bible? Does your calling reflect parts of your personality? Do you like things clean and organized, like Martha? Or are you a Mary, focused on giving people time and attention? On this episode of God Hears Her, hosts Elisa Morgan and Eryn Eddy talk with guest Denisse Copeland about what it means to be set apart as a daughter of the King, no matter if you're a Mary or a Martha. About Our Guest: Denisse Copeland was born and raised by a single mother in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Her upbringing offered little stability, and Denisse soon found herself on a seemingly endless quest to find love and acceptance. It wasn't until Jesus shook her world that she truly found what she was looking for. Now a mother of three living in Oklahoma City, Denisse works alongside her husband, Rashawn Copeland, as an online minister and evangelist. Their ministry reaches more than 6 million people every year. Notes and Quotes: God gave me a gift that was difficult for me to accept as a child. —Denisse Copeland I was confessing but I didn't know it, and I felt tangible peace for the first time. —Denisse Copeland I never felt peace growing up. I didn't know what peace was or felt like. —Denisse Copeland I said, “Yes, Lord!” It felt like somebody loved me. I accepted that proposal. —Denisse Copeland Martha's gift wasn't wrong. She was just doing it from an anxious heart. —Denisse Copeland The heart posture is what's driving you to do what you're doing. If you're abiding in Him, there is rest. —Denisse Copeland I am set apart. I am a daughter. I don't have to prove anything. —Denisse Copeland Sometimes what frustrates us most is what leads us to our giftedness. —Denisse Copeland Jesus gives us permission to rest. —Denisse Copeland Verses: Psalm 1 Luke 10:38-42 Links: Get your copy of Denisse's book: Set Apart on Amazon God Hears Her website: https://www.godhearsher.org/ God Hears Her newsletter sign-up: https://www.godhearsher.org/signup Subscribe on iTunes! https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/god-hears-her-podcast/id1511046507?utm_source=applemusic&utm_medium=godhearsher&utm_campaign=podcast Elisa's Instagram: elisa morgan author Eryn's Instagram: eryneddy Denisse's Instagram: setapartdaughters

Author and pastor Rashawn Copeland shares from his book "No Turning Back: Escape Your Past, Empower Your Present, and Experience God's Best for You". He talks about how his life of trying to satisfy his need for achievement and success gave way to bowing to Jesus.
Sexually abused at age 11. Shot down at age 17 and left for dead. Addicted to sex, money, porn, fame. Full of anxiety, depression, and pride. Then God met him right where he was by using a Christian college student who asked him questions about his identity and purpose; then later, used her again to deliver him from suicide via a social media post at exactly the right moment. Since then, EVERYTHING has changed. Meet Rashawn Copeland. Special Guest: Rashawn Copeland.

What do we do when the unexpected happens? Have we pondered to brevity of life lately? As we head into year 2022 here's a reminder.... Living knowing that your life is a vapor is different than just living. Things here are passing away. You've got to hold on to what will stand. Savor what matters. Life Is Short. Eternity Is Long. Live Like It. This may sound harsh, but it's true as night follows the day. You will exist forever. You and God are both in the universe to stay—either as friends on His terms, or enemies on yours—which it will be is proven in this life. And this life is a vapor. Two seconds, and we will be gone.In Today's short meditation, Rashawn Copeland will connect you to a fresh understanding of God and a renewed relationship with Him. You'll find your faith stirred to make every day count for Christ when you consider life as a vapor.Time is precious. We are fragile. Life is short. Eternity is long. Every minute counts. Oh, to be a faithful steward of the breath God has given me. Three texts resound in my ears: “Redeem the time” (Ephesians 5:16 ); “It is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy” (1 Corinthians 4:2); “His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me” (1 Corinthians 15:10). Rashawn Copeland knew of Jesus, but never "knew" Jesus. After a very successful high school athletics career came to an abrupt ending when he was shot two times, Rashawn moved to the "City Of Angels" Los Angeles to pursue an acting and modeling career. His satisfaction came from lusting after women, popularity, money, and possessions. He spent time as Soulja Boy's hypeman and booked with companies such as Tru-Tv, and Oxygen, earning money and gaining fame. But, despite it all he was empty and depressed. On the verge of suicide and in complete desperation he wholeheartedly asked God to reveal Himself which He did. Rashawn is now an evangelist, author of the best-selling book 'Start Where You Are', and the founder of I'm So Blessed Daily, and Without Walls Ministries. He is a writer for GOD TV, and he is also the host of the The Scripture and Stories: Podcast- Hosted by Rashawn Copeland. Rashawn lives in Oklahoma City with his wife, Denisse, and their three children. This Monday night he will be my guest on Kowalski Analysis.
