2020 was not only a year marked by a Global pandemic, racial tension and rising levels of anxiety...those of us in America also lived through a highly divisive election season.Republicans and Democrats alike were tearing each other down in the name of democracy. Arguments on social media blazed and hateful memes were simply the norm. Respect, honor and general kindness seemed to be forgotten morals as everyone felt the right to make fun of the “other side” and even de-humanize whoever didn't agree with them. Families shared tense conversations over meals, friends parted ways based on who they voted for and social media seemed to convince everyone that THEY were on the right side. And here we are a year later with very little progress in the area of unity across political party lines, which causes us to wonder...Is that kind of unity even possible in our world today? ---Did you know Generation Distinct is way more than just a Podcast?
