Fresh off the UFC's return to Seattle, Jim and Matt are back with an action-packed episode that talks to two of Saturday's biggest winners. First up, bantamweight veteran Rob Font returns for his ninth appearance to break down his latest fight, his switch to Tristar Gym, and what's next after handing the previously unbeaten Jean Matsumoto his first-ever loss as a professional. Then, Modestas Bukauskas joins the show for the first time, fresh off a statement-making KO to kick off the Seattle card. The surging light heavyweight talks about what he learned from his first stint in the UFC and how his second go-around has shaped him into the improved fighter he is today. Don't miss as the guys recap UFC Seattle's biggest moments—including Cejudo's third straight loss and Anthony Hernandez's scintillating win over Brendan Allen.

The UFC and PFL go head-to-head on Saturday, with the PFL putting on arguably the most important event in company history with Battle of the Giants, headlined by the MMA return of Francis Ngannou as he battles fellow knockout artist Renan Ferreira. While the stakes are certainly higher in Saudi Arabia, the UFC is bringing a fascinating middleweight main event between Anthony Hernandez and Michel Pereira. Ahead of Saturday's doubleheader, MMA Fighting's Jed Meshew and Mike Heck preview both events, discuss the burning questions surrounding Ngannou vs. Ferreira, the returning Cris Cyborg facing Larissa Pacheco, Johnny Eblen vs. Fabian Edwards 2, and A.J. McKee vs. Paul Hughes. Additionally, they'll discuss the Hernandez vs. Pereira five-rounder at the APEX, the heavily-favored Kyler Phillips facing perennial ranked bantamweight Rob Font in the co-main event, answer your questions, and much more. The MMA Vivisection Shows: 'Main Card Preview' & 'Prelims Card Preview'
You guys and gals aren't going to believe this, but a mythical entity is afoot. The ultra-rare decent Apex card. That's right kids, we're getting a pretty solid event with UFC Vegas 99. Not only do we get three ranked fights, we have some really good matchmaking at play, as well. Charles Johnson vs. Sumudaerji is certified fresh. The main event is good, too. Middleweight doesn't look completely barren these days. It's not robust, by any means, but it's got potential, and it's been awhile since we've been able to say that. Make sure to subscribe and follow the show for new weekly episodes.Cory The Sandman Sandhagen is one of the most likeable dudes in the UFC; known for an approach to MMA rooted in intentionality, thoughtfulness and strategy. He joins the guys ahead of his upcoming bout against Umar Nurmagomedov in Abu Dhabi August 3rd. The guys discuss Umar's fight style and what makes him dangerous, and why the rankings don't tell his full story. They dig a little bit into Cory's past fights - both victories and defeats - that have shaped him into a well-rounded, universally dangerous MMA fighter rather than a one dimensional killer. And credit to the world class coaches who have embedded champion tactics into The Sandman, who's taken years to polish his grappling after the Aljamain Sterling loss.We wrap up with a Sean v. Joining Jim Norton and Matt Serra on today's episode of UFC Unfiltered is bantamweight Adrian Yanez and comedian Robert Kelly. Looking to bounce back from his first loss inside the UFC, 14th-ranked bantamweight Adrian Yanez gives a sober assessment of what went wrong as he abandoned his game plan in the midst of his one-round firefight against Rob Font. Yanez further explains how the great deal of mutual respect between himself and 13th-ranked bantamweight Jonathan Martinez will have to be put aside briefly as the two prepare to clash on Saturday night in a significant fight for the UFC's 135-pound division. Shortly thereafter, Jim and Matt are joined by a long-time friend of the show in stand-up comedian Robert Kelly, who himself is no fighter but shows an incredible ability to take Matt Serra's friendly jabs in stride while throwing some back himself in a hilarious appearance on the show. The guys wrap up the show by taking a look at Saturday's UFC Fight Night: Yusuff vs. Barboza card.
