LAFC headed up to Seattle to take on their rivals, the Seattle Sounders, amid roster rotation and a CCC match in Columbus just 3 days later. A solid first half gave way to the dam breaking in the second, and a heavily rotated LAFC squad took a beating, 5-2. On the bright side, Nathan Ordaz and David Martinez kept up their game of "whatever you can do, I can do better". #80: David Martinez from In These Mountains (2025,Part 1) comes back to the podcast for a second time.  We catch up and he shares his thoughts on the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo. He walks us through the story of getting an Elk with his bow in Montana and the grind of backcountry hunting on public land in grizzly country.  We get to hear about his wife, Nicole's first season out as a hunter, chasing elk with her bow to getting a white tail with a rifle.  David gives advice on how he helped get his wife into hunting and helping her gain confidence enough to go out solo hunting too. Left it late but what a win for the Black & Gold! Dave Denholm and Mario Ruiz react to LAFC's win in Vancouver as the team stretched its win streak to five across all competitions. Tremendous effort from the youngsters Nathan Ordaz and David Martinez leading to massive goals for LAFC. Decision Day is upon us, and LAFC has much to play for in the season finale. Plus, a look at the MLS standings and the latest playoff seedings.

It's Episode 333, the number of the beast as far as Vancouver is concerned. LAFC travels up to the PNW and steals 3 points from a much-deserving Whitecaps side! Matty gets an early one, Ilie seals it late, and the boys still have Western Conference crown hopes as we meet Decision Day head-on. It took all of 32 seconds for LAFC to get on the board, the second-fastest goal in club history. David Martinez supplies a perfect pass to a streaking Mateusz Bogusz, whose deft chip eludes both defender and keeper and puts the good guys up 1. After the break, a Sergi Palencia yellow and a Sergi Palencia own goal in short succession put the West in peril, and Vancouver had plenty of other bites at the cherry. Timothy Tillman makes the save of the match, denying Damir Kreilach on the line, and LAFC headed to stoppage needed a miracle. Enter Ilie Sanchez, with some massive help from The Wunderkid, Nathan Ordaz! Nate splits 2 defenders with a sick move, finds Kei Kamara, who quickly slots it to a wide-open Ilie. Just like Aaron Long last match, the unlikely hero Ilie plays the role of savior, and LAFC is up 2-1. Thank goodness the soccer gods blinked for a second, as Brian White's header at the death struck all post and no netting, and it's LAFC with everything to play for on Decision Day.Also on this episode, Scarf does all the math and permutations for Decision Day, Filly enjoys Dodger Stadium for Game 2, and the boys wish both a former and current player happy birthday!
