Travis, Darren, and Vince recap LAFC's... tbh? frustrating 1-0 home win over FC Dallas that keeps LAFC perfect through five games the club's best-ever start with 13 goals scored and just one allowed (what a sentence!) Hugo Lloris' and the back line saved the match for us, as Dallas looked sharp, pressed hard, and boxed out Denis Bouanga and Son Heung-min. The breakthrough came from David Martinez's long-range strike - the same one we've spend 3 seasons praising him for always taking, because we NEVER DOUBTED DAVID MARTINEZ!00:00 Five Straight Wins01:01 Lloris Saves the Day02:36 Dallas Game Plan Surprise04:20 LAFC Attack Stalls08:32 Martinez Breakthrough Goal12:53 Midfield Creativity Concerns15:37 Dave Denholm Joins21:31 Ref Talk and VAR Rants26:32 Super Chats and Drew Fisher30:31 Luigi Birthday Call33:00 Cubby and Joey Updates35:12 Pauly Rants and Praise39:49 The Lucky Hat Lore41:45 Yeboah Investigation Talk44:55 Luke on Hugo Heroics48:34 Standings and Next Matches50:24 Meeting Fans and Wrap UpJoin our Patreon and help us keep making this show.Merch and more at HappyFootSadFootPod.comYouTube: @happyfootsadfoot Twitter: @HaFoSaFoInstagram: @happyfootsadfootTikTok: @happyfootsadfoot Hosted on Acast.

Lone'er Kavanagh proved once again that fortune favors the bold. Now what does his future hold? Saturday's UFC Mexico event concluded with Kavanagh putting on a career-best performance to win a decision over two-time flyweight champion Brandon Moreno. Kavanagh made the most of a short-notice opportunity and is now poised to climb even higher in the rankings, but how quickly should the matchmakers push the budding prospect? On an all-new edition of On To the Next One, MMA Fighting's Alexander K. Lee and special guest Jed Meshew discuss what's next for Kavanagh now that he's landed firmly in the top 10 of his division. Additionally, future matchups are discussed for David Martinez, who defeated tough veteran Marlon Vera in the co-main event, the inimitable King Green after his upset knockout of Daniel Zellhuber, plus we do our best to find dance partners for up-and-coming fighters Edgar Chairez, Imanol Rodriguez, and Santiago Luna, and more. All that and a big assist from the listener picks. Follow Alexander K. Lee: @AlexanderKLee Follow Jed Meshew: @JedKMeshew Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

UFC Mexico didn't look great on paper but we did get some great moments in reality and it started with the very first bout on the card. Damien Pinas stopped Wes Schultz in opening stanza, showing fight fans that Aruba isn't just for vacations in the sun. Francis Marshall would submit Erik Silva in the first round, and Javier Reyes would make quick work of Douglas Silva de Andrade via TKO.Lacy Chiasson would take her third, straight defeat, this time at the hands of Ailin Perez, a much smaller woman who bullied her for most of the fight. One has to wonder if Lacy has hit her ceiling. Ryan Gandra finishing Jose Medina was a pretty easy prediction for many, and Gandra did it in just 41 seconds to round out the prelims. The main card saw Imanol Rodriguez stop Kevin Borjas late in round two via TKO, and King Green scored a second round TKO over Daniel Zellhuber. One has to wonder if Daniel has also found his ceiling, as this marks his third, straight loss. Finally, in a surprising twist, Lone'er Kavanagh soundly defeated Brandon Moreno via unanimous decision. Now that we've reviewed the highlights, let's check out the results and bonuses while we're here.MMA Vivisection & 6th Round is a reader-supported publication. Brandon Moreno is back in Mexico, and this time his back is against the wall. On Saturday, Moreno takes on short-notice replacement Lone'er Kavanagh in the main event of UFC Mexico, at a pivotal moment in the two-time flyweight champion's career. Does Moreno still have what it takes to make it back to the title he once held? MMA Fighting's Alexander K. The UFC is back in Mexico City. This Saturday, the UFC returns Arena CDMX for another fight card in Mexico's capital city, headlined by a flyweight matchup between former two-time champion Brandon Moreno and rising contender Lone'er Kavanagh. Moreno was originally set to fight Asu Almabayev, but after Almabayev pulled out of the event on just a few weeks' notice, Kavanagh was pulled from his scheduled bout against Bruno Silva to step in, creating an unexpected main event, and No Bets Barred is here to break it all down. This week, host Jed Meshew flies solo to dive into all the action at this weekend's event. Topics discussed include where Moreno is in his career, how the short-notice might affect Kavanagh, whether or not Chito Vera will actually try to do stuff in the co-main event against David Martinez, if Daniel Zellhuber can start to live up to his potential, a ton of Contender Series prospects making their debuts, a three-headed Climb, and more. The 2026 CONCACAF Champions Cup could not have started better for the Black and Gold. A renewed David Martinez looked great up top alongside the all-world duo of Denis Bouanga and Son Heung-Min. Denis scores a hat trick to see him on 104 goals all-time for LAFC, while Sonny pairs his goal with three assists! Stephen Eustaquio, who looked amazing on the night, and Matthew Evans both made their MLS (and LAFC) debuts, while the match marked the first in Black and Gold for striker Tyler Boyd. Welcome back to the studio. This is My Day of Play, where you're taken into the real events and actions of how it happens long before the process of editing or cleaning up. The original purpose of these episodes was to give my broadcasting students something to edit, to practice with and to call their own. Then I realized that you are just as important. Share the reality of how it really went. We begin things with Sofronio Vasquez the winner of season 26 of NBC's The Voice. Then we'll leap into an extremely informative investigation into UFOs. The director of the documentary The Program James Fox. And we'll wrap things up David Martinez from A&E's docu-series Fugitive Hunters Mexico. This is My Day of Play. Completely unedited in the way of meeting the wizard behind the curtain. Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.
Photo courtesy Cherokee Nation / Facebook In Tahlequah, Okla. this week, Cherokee language speakers and officials unveiled a Cherokee language dictionary app. They were joined by representatives of Kiwa Digital Limited, who developed the app based on a Cherokee dictionary 50 years ago, created by Native speaker Durbin Feeling. Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Junior said the new app will allow every Cherokee family to carry the resource in their pockets, and represented the tribe's sovereignty and knowledge, as well as their commitment to keep the Cherokee language strong for generations to come. “For the last five centuries, our language and our culture has been under assault, has been eroded, and that's the story of Indigenous languages around the world. Many of which the languages that have been lost and that we will lose in the future. Many of which are a part of history books, about languages that once were.” Chief Hoskin said he expected the app to become more than a simple curiosity for tribal members, and will be especially embraced by children and other youth. The Cherokee Language Dictionary App includes translations for more than 6-thousand Cherokee words, with audio recordings, grammar notes, and phonetics. Under my direction, the soldiers who fought at the Battle of Wounded Knee will keep their medals. This decision is final. Their place in history is settled. pic.twitter.com/klQlB6MZ6l — Secretary of War Pete Hegseth (@SecWar) September 25, 2025 Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an unusual speech in September to top brass in which he railed against “woke” ideology and hyped the recently rebranded Department of War. He also weighed in on a long-simmering controversy involving the so-called Battle of Wounded Knee which occurred on December 29, 1890, where hundreds of Lakotas were killed by the U.S. Army. Many consider that conflict a massacre – and have called for the soldiers to be stripped of their Medals of Honor. Sec. Hegseth dismissed the idea as political correctness run amok and released a video defending the soldiers and their medals. As KJZZ's Gabriel Pietrorazio reports, it was a painful message for tribes throughout the country. “Under my direction, we're making it clear, without hesitation, that the soldiers who fought in the Battle of Wounded Knee in 1890 will keep their medals.” Although bipartisan efforts in Congress to rescind those Medals of Honor go back decades, only a president has the legal authority – beyond the Pentagon itself – to undo that distinction. “This decision is now final, and their place in our nation's history is no longer up for debate. We salute their memory, we honor their service, and we will never forget what they did.” In what would be the final chapter of the Army's century-long “Indian Wars” campaign, as many as 300 Lakotas were killed at Wounded Knee in South Dakota – while at least 25 U.S. soldiers died. A rifle shot rang out when troops tried disarming a surrendering encampment on December 29, 1890. In that confusion, the mass slaughter of mostly unarmed men, women and children ensued. Army general Nelson Appleton Miles penned in private, “I have never heard of a more, brutal cold-blooded massacre than that at Wounded Knee.” To this day, there is still no official death count. Hegseth's comments came a few weeks after President Donald Trump signed an executive order, rebranding his agency as the Department of War. “This is something we thought long and hard about. We've been talking about it for months, Pete and I … I think it's a much more appropriate name, especially in light of where the world is right now.” From the Russian invasion of Ukraine to the Israeli-Hamas conflict in Gaza, the same dynamics of Wounded Knee – of civilians being killed by conquering military forces – continue to play out all around the globe, according to David Martinez. “And I would go further and say that what you see in contemporary American foreign policy was forged in America's battles with Indian people.” Tune in tomorrow to hear how the history of Wounded Knee continues for many Native people today. GDP Script/ Top Stories for December 4th Publish Date: December 4th PRE-ROLL: SUGAR HILL ICE SKATING From the BG AD Group Studio Welcome to the Gwinnett Daily Post Podcast. Today is Thursday, December 4th and Happy birthday to Jeff Bridges I’m Peyton Spurlock and here are your top stories presented by KIA Mall of Georgia. Lake Lanier Association Completes Phase Three of Shoreline Protection Program Hilscher wins another term in Suwanee City Council Police aim to deter youth gun violence in slain officer's memory Plus, Leah McGrath from Ingles Markets on carrots All of this and more is coming up on the Gwinnett Daily Post podcast, and if you are looking for community news, we encourage you to listen daily and subscribe! Break 1: GCPS Hiring STORY 1: Lake Lanier Association Completes Phase Three of Shoreline Protection Program Lake Lanier’s shoreline just got a little more secure—5,280 feet of it, to be exact. The Lake Lanier Association (LLA) announced the completion of the third phase of Project Armor, its ongoing effort to fight erosion caused by heavy boat traffic. This phase reinforced 16 badly eroded areas with rip rap, a method that helps absorb wave energy and protect the shoreline. Over the past 12 years, the LLA has armored 3 miles of shoreline, saving 28 islands and areas from disappearing into the lake. Why does it matter? These islands aren’t just pretty—they’re vital. They provide wildlife habitats, beaches, and safe spots for fishing and recreation. Without protection, some islands have already vanished, and erosion is making the lake shallower, threatening both recreation and the drinking water supply for over 5 million Georgians. This project, supported by partners like the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and local counties, is far from over. With 12 million visitors a year, Lake Lanier’s waves aren’t slowing down anytime soon. STORY 2: Hilscher wins another term in Suwanee City Council Suwanee City Councilwoman Beth Hilscher is sticking around for another four years after edging out David Martinez in Tuesday’s runoff for the Post 4 seat. Unofficial results show Hilscher pulled in 734 votes to Martinez’s 638. Suwanee wasn’t the only Gwinnett city with a runoff—Duluth voters also hit the polls to decide the Post 3 City Council race between incumbent Lamar Doss and challenger Marlene Denise Tucker. In Suwanee, it’s Hilscher who’s celebrating. STORY 3: Police aim to deter youth gun violence in slain officer's memory Gwinnett County police have rolled out a new program aimed at steering kids away from guns while honoring Officer Antwan Toney, who was tragically killed in the line of duty seven years ago. Called Toney’s Program, it launched in September and focuses on first-time or minor handgun offenses among juveniles. The program, named after Toney—who was shot by a teen in 2018—pairs participants with mentors for a seven-week curriculum and three months of follow-up support. Families are involved too, attending sessions alongside their kids. Teens hear from gun violence victims and learn conflict resolution, emotional awareness, and nonviolent decision-making. The first group graduated last month, with the next starting in January. We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Call 770.874.3200 for more info. We’ll be right back Break 2: 07.14.22 KIA MOG- DTL HOLIDAY STORY 4: Snellville man convicted of attacking former basketball teammates A Snellville man, just 20 years old, is headed to prison for 25 years after a string of violent attacks on his former high school basketball teammates. Jet Horne, once a senior on South Gwinnett High’s 2022-23 team, was convicted last week on a laundry list of charges—aggravated assault, firearm possession, criminal damage, even hijacking a car. The incidents? Three separate attacks between December 2024 and May 2025. In December, Horne ambushed Talal Ansah, shooting him eight times as he returned home from work. Ansah barely survived. Then, in March, Horne fired into Timair Walker’s car, injuring a neighbor with a stray bullet. By May, he escalated—holding Maalik Leitch at gunpoint, stealing his BMW, and leading police on a chase. Ballistics tied it all together, sealing Horne’s fate. “This was a violent, senseless series of crimes,” said DA Patsy Austin-Gatson. “We’re grateful for justice and continue to pray for the victims.” STORY 5: BOYS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Dacula Keeps Rolling with Lopsided Win Dacula cruised past Jackson County on Tuesday night, dominating with an 82-58 win in boys basketball. Case Presley was unstoppable, racking up 20 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists. Josh Brown added 15 points, six boards, and four steals, while Dorian Douglas chipped in 15 points, five steals, and four assists. Kenny LaRue (nine points, six assists), Luke Anderson (nine points), and Caleb Golding (nine points, four rebounds) rounded out the Falcons’ balanced attack. Dacula now sits at 6-1 on the season. ATLANTA FALCONS: The Falcons, with six losses in their last seven games, will take on the Seahawks, who’ve won six of their last seven. Led by coach Mike Macdonald and quarterback Sam Darnold, the 9-3 Seahawks face the Falcons at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. U.S. MENS SOCCER: The U.S. Men’s National Team will face Belgium, Portugal, and Germany in a high-stakes pre-World Cup series. Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium hosts two matches: USA vs. Belgium on March 28 at 3:30 p.m. ET and USA vs. Portugal on March 31 at 7 p.m. ET.

Key Accounts Advisor, David Martinez, works with Workstand merchants to improve many aspects of in-store and online sales execution to grow sales while increasing margin. Inventory management is an important part of David's work with bike shops. As we've brought on more dealers to the Digital Advisor Services program, some trends have emerged, offering useful tips for other stores. Obvious, you say? If they are obvious to you, that's great, but they come up often enough that we think they are worth covering. What may not be obvious is that we're talking about both in-store and online sales. Curating your product assortmentListen and learn from your customers, staff, and communityWhat are customers asking for that you don't have?Bonus tip: Supplier Sync as an indicator of interestProducts your staff actually use - Your staff will enjoy selling items they actually useConsider ancillary products - Are you in a beach town and do lots of rentals? Offer beverages, towels, sunscreen, etc.Curate around your brand/focused categories (MTB, road, e-bike, family) - it's easy to be a roadie store that also sells MTB and not take the extra step for what isn't your primary focus, but it mattersMTB'ers need gloves, helmets, tires, sealant, and colored pedalsRoadies love nutrition, sunglasses, and computersE-bikes: mirrors, bells, baskets, battery chargers, phone mountsFamily: fun helmets, bells, horns, burley trailers, Buying is important, but sell-through is what matters mostMonitor your aged inventory and strategize a plan for markdownsTake notes on what is working and what's not working. Don't make the same mistakes season after season. How many different brands of black shorts/bibs do you need?Does your assortment/levels align with your floorspaceMaintain as little backstock Minimizes shrinkage, theft, and aged inventoryHow many of ‘X' fit on a hook on your floorBonus Topic2nd tier e-bike brandsThe market is FLOODED with these brands. Make it two straight wins for two-time flyweight champion Brandon Moreno following a competitive decision victory over Steve Erceg in the UFC Mexico main event. Is it time for Moreno to be booked for another title fight or should other contenders at 125 pounds get a date with Alexandre Pantoja first? On an all-new edition of On To the Next One, MMA Fighting's Mike Heck and Alexander K. Lee discuss whether it makes sense for Moreno to return to the title picture especially with UFC 320 announced for Sept. 13 in Mexico. Additionally, future matchups are discussed for non-stop action lightweight Manuel Torres after he scored the biggest win of his career over Drew Dober, 20-year-old Raul Rosas Jr. as he continues his impressive win streak, plus main card standouts Edgar Chairez, David Martinez, and Kevin Borjas.
