Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing é o Mario Kart do Sonic.

Racers start your engines! As we continue to celebrate 60 glorious years of SEGA, we are reviewing the first entry in the Sonic Racing franchise, Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing! Though there have been times where we have tried a race or two over the years, in a Sonic Racing game, we never really got into it, which after this review, we have decided is extremely unfortunate; because we simply had a blast!Steam description:SONIC AND SEGA ALL-STARS RACE FOR VICTORY IN A HIGH SPEED HIGH SKILL RACETRACK SHOWDOWN! TAKE TO THE TRACK BY CAR, MONSTER TRUCK, BIKE AND EVEN AEROPLANE IN SONIC & SEGA ALL-STARS RACING.Beyond someone leaving the caps lock on, that pretty much sums up the game. My full BONUS interview with Tim Wright, also known as CoLD SToRAGE!Tim has worked on several racing games in his time, but is possibly best known in the genre for his original WipeOut music. I spoke to him about his audio and composition for various racers in this expansive interview, which approaches two hours in length. Due to the level of detail Tim fit into the conversation, I eventually decided to release it as its own BONUS edition (instead of including it in the full ST2 Racing Special). In addition to discussing the WipeOut series, our talk also includes insight on: Formula One, Thunder Truck Rally, Supertruck Racing, TT Superbike Legends, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Slipstream GX, Table Top Racing, Pacer, No Escape, Krazy Ivan, Microcosm, the well-known "Puggs in Space" Amiga demo and more! All music by CoLD SToRAGE, except:Chemical Beats - The Chemical Brothers [Exit Planet Dust]P.E.T.R.O.L. - Orbital [In-Sides]Loops of Fury - The Chemical Brothers [Loops of Fury]Afro Ride - Leftfield (feat. Although it went down well with SEGA fans and its dedicated fanbase, Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing wasn't quite as earth shattering as SEGA had hoped it would be. Instead of hiring a different studio, SEGA placed their full faith once again in Sumo Digital to produce the goods as they had time and time again, resulting in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, often considered to be one of the most skillful kart racers in existance. More important than that is what does PT and our Discord server think?!
On an episode with a longer title than Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing with Banjo-Kazooie, Craig Duncan, Studio Head of Rare, joins the Kongversation for a wide-ranging interview. Everything from Sea of Thieves to Craig's (shocking!) favorite Donkey Kong game gets discussed. It's the best Kongversation interview with a Rare Studio Head that's ever been, ever ever ever, on any episode.

Another few weeks have passed, but the crew has once again reunited to record another episode of the show. Jason Ross rejoins the crew, filling the staff in on his latest play experiences including Sonic and the Sega All-Stars Racing as well as Max & the Magic Marker and Mouse House. Jason Hillhouse on the other hand gushes over his new video card as he finally has the ability to play the coveted Crysis 2. The recently reviewed Zangeki no Reginleiv is also discussed as both Jason and Nick have had the opportunity to play it extensively. Chessa takes some time to talk about Resident Evil 5 and its DLC while Nick closes the fist segment with talk of everyone's favorite handheld synthesizer, KORG DS-10+. In the second segment, the crew focuses on a single topic: when a journalist should review a game. Each staff member mentions whether or not they believe that a reviewer should complete the game before review, or call it quits after a few hours. Any readers with a good second segment discussion topic, or a general question they would like answered on the show, just leave a comment in the section below, or email us via the site's contact form.
