The Vita gets a ton of love this month with a plethora of ports including Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Final Fantasy 3, Final Fantasy 4, and Doki Doki Literature Club! Like some kind of cruel joke, coming off the last episode of ModChat in which the Grand Theft Auto 3 reverse engineering project (re3) was restored on GitHub, it looks like several developers are now being sued due to work on the project. EA has announced a new feature coming to Battlefield 2042. Called Battlefield Portal, it's a customizable creative mode that will let players create and share their own unique battles and multiplayer scenarios that combine weapons, maps, and vehicles from across the franchise. I know. I am 2 years and roughly 1 month late to the party. However, now the only Battlefield title I have not played is the first Battlefield: Bad Company. I know. BFV was received rather ... poorly ... and that's putting it lightly. But, it is still the most current Battlefield game we have and I felt I could not talk about the full breadth of Battlefield titles with genuine authority if I didn't play this game. So here we are. Oof. Were it not for the amazing graphics and sound, I would have rated this game a 3/10. This game isn't terrible, it just misses the mark by SOOO much. I did only get about 10 hours of game play in for this review so it's maybe not the most in-depth review ever. Battlefield Bad Company is a parody take on it’s own franchise. It really takes the piss out of the drama filled World War shooters that were so prevalent in the early 2000’s.
