An archival story from January 2020 reports on the existing radiation in Fukushima from the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. A report from the beginning of lockdown shows that while the sports world was shutting down, Olympic trials carried on with a global impact. Lastly, David's recent report covering the relentless push to vaccinate athletes in vaccine-deficient countries demonstrates the lengths pursued to carry on with the 2021 Olympics. It may be hard to believe, but this week's episode is ONE date. It's a recycled truth or dare group date from the #Clayshia2020 season. More hot peppers and fake proposals *insert eye roll here*. The rest of the episode continues to focus on the Thomas the Trainwreck drama. We also see a returning contestant arrive - they've hyped it up all season, but he's finally here. It's Blake Moynes from #Clayshia2020. Just like Heather Martin, from Matt's season, we want him to exit stage left immediately. This week's BIPOC highlight goes to David Scott. He is fine as f*uck and did not get enough time on our screen. Please provide an email to someone at ABC where we can lodge a complaint, cause this is some bulls*hit. The guys get momentarily political before they reign it in. Dale wants the OG Chinese strain of the virus. Bonnie Henry is just one person. Dale walks through Corduroy's health inspection history. The owner of Corduroy is going to have to make a very awkward apology tour. Twitch is coming out with new rules for their streamers to follow even while off the platform. Dale talks about his accidental joining a racist clan on COD ten years ago. What are these companies doing with all this aggregate data. The guys discuss what is in their search history.   When once again safe to travel through farm country, the bounty of the food system  will be evident.  So are the perils resulting from misdirected political power.  Tom Philpott, author, podcaster and Mother Jones reporter wrote Perilous Bounty to draw attention to the promise and the peril of farm policy and practices that are often not good for farms or consumers. However an encouraging sign appeared just after the podcast conversation when Rep. David Scott became the first black Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee who (as Tom has reported) recognizes the urgencies of addressing climate change: “With each wildfire, hurricane, or flood more devastating than the last, it is incumbent upon us to ensure food security for future generations...The threat of climate change is a present and growing danger, and we must promote sustainable agriculture solutions that are economically viable, ecologically just, and support the social fabric of our rural communities.” David Scott hope.https://www.motherjones.com/author/tom-philpott/

There is no reason to expect we will know the result of the Presidential election on Tuesday night. Wendy Weiser of the Brennan Center and David Scott, deputy managing editor with the Associated Press, explain why. Part of the reason: a few key states will have millions of mail-in ballots to count after in-person voting has concluded. The Supreme Court ruled this week to allow that counting to proceed in two key states, Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Election lawyer Ben Ginsberg has been following those cases. NPR's Joel Rose reports watchdog groups who normally monitor elections abroad for violence and unrest are turning their sights toward the U.S. In participating regions, you'll also hear a local news segment that will help you make sense of what's going on in your community.Email us at considerthis@npr.org.

David's a personal trainer, he's been helping people for many years, and he has an audience he wants to serve of men in their 40's and 50's who are starting to, as he calls it, fend off father time. We talked a lot about the needs of people in this area. He already has a lead magnet that's gathering leads for around $2, so we talked about how to treat that engagement, nurture the opt in, and try and engage with as many people as he can, to ultimately think through what is it we're ultimately going to be able to help these people with. Once you crack the code of understanding the conversation, then you can scale it. This is a great call to think through this exercise, and about the needs of one particular audience.
