The Eye for an Eye podcast is an absolute gem in the true crime genre. From the moment I started listening, I was blown away by the intelligence and well-researched cases presented by the hosts. It's clear that a lot of effort goes into every episode, and it really shows. The podcast stands out from others in the genre by bringing new and lesser-known cases to light, which keeps things fresh and keeps me interested. I appreciate being able to learn about new crimes and hear different takes on them.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the diverse range of opinions and perspectives provided by the hosts. Matt brings a hilarious and entertaining element to each episode, while Juls is a great addition to the team with her insightful commentary. And Lisa... where do I begin? She truly seems like she can do it all, from thorough research to engaging storytelling. The chemistry between all three hosts is fantastic and makes for a truly enjoyable listening experience.

However, one issue that comes up occasionally is Matt's audio levels. There are times when he gets excited or yells into the mic, causing his voice to become too loud and overwhelming. It would be beneficial if he paid more attention to his audio levels during recording or editing to ensure a consistent listening experience for all listeners.

In conclusion, The Eye for an Eye podcast has become one of my favorites in the true crime genre. The amount of research, intelligent discussion, and fresh case choices make it stand out from other podcasts in this space. Despite a minor issue with audio levels at times, overall it is a highly entertaining show with great hosts who bring unique perspectives to each episode. I look forward to continuing my journey through their catalog of episodes and eagerly await new ones in the future!

Join Jules, Lisa and Matt on a thought-provoking and chilling journey as we explore the evidence, scrutinize the theories, and question the verdict that has left many perplexed and divided. In the quiet town of Rowlett, Texas, a seemingly idyllic suburban home transforms into a scene of unimaginable horror. Tragically, two of her sons did not survive the ordeal. But as investigators delved into the details, inconsistencies emerged, and Darlie soon found herself accused of a heinous crime: the murder of her own children. The case captured national attention, fueled by sensational media coverage and a series of shocking revelations that challenged the initial narrative. In this gripping podcast series, we explore the complexities of the Darlie Routier case, dissecting the evidence, examining the forensic analysis, and exploring the motives behind the prosecution's case. We delve into the courtroom drama, revealing the strategies employed by both the defense and the prosecution, and examine the role of public perception in shaping the outcome. We confront the lingering questions that continue to haunt this case: Did Darlie Routier commit these unspeakable acts? Or was she a victim of a flawed investigation and a rush to judgment? As we peel back the layers of this compelling story, we also explore broader themes of justice, the death penalty, and the impact of media on high-profile trials. According to Matt, everyone is one or two degrees of separation from a murderer. Today we put that theory to the test. Join Lisa, Jules, Matt and our special guest Shelby, as we discuss the horrific murder of Jan Bailey in her home Christmas Eve 1992. Immediately, all focus shifted to one particular person, however, no charges related to the crime were ever brought forth. Could this be due to the suspects ties with LAPD? Could it be because their alibi, while odd, checked out? Could this be because he really was not involved? Join Lisa and Jules as they discuss the memoir Anna Yourkin, the estranged mother of infamous monster Luka Magnotta, wrote with the help of WildBlue Press' own Brian Whitney. This book is a hard read, and not just because of the gruesome subject matter. Is Anna blinded by the love she has for her son or does she agree he is a monster in human form? Can we blame her for who her son became? We also discuss the Netflix series “Don't F*ck with Cats” and what we believe that series brought to and possibly took away from when it comes to coverage on this case.  If you missed our original coverage of Luka Magnotta (Episode 5) and his disgusting incomprehensible crimes- you can find it at the link below: Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/eye-for-an-eye/id1294049883?i=1000394043641 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/episode/54t4iCu8bDujfY8Ua1LQlX?si=96LJozcuRwaAjLvxyjsILg Special thanks to the producers of todays show, your support means the world! : Michael and Carolyn Y. While we're on our season two break, we're updating you all on a case Lisa and Matt covered on the first installment of A Blind Eye. With the Netflix docuseries "Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel" bringing the case back into the spot light-it only made sense to revisit the case that mystified millions. Join Jules and Lisa for a little ladies night as we go back over the spine chilling case of Elisa Lam. With new information gathered from the docuseries, we will go back through with a fine toothed comb and discuss what we believe ultimately happened to Elisa Lam. Was this a terrible accident? Was Elisa Lam murdered? Was she possessed? Was she part of a government test? Was she playing the sinister elevator game? Or was she made up all together? As always, let us know what you guys think!
