Dr. Brian Hill (Senior Pastor), "Resurrection Freedom", Baptism Video, Video Presentation, Modern Worship Praise Team (11:15 Service). 31. To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” 33. They answered him, “We are Abraham's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?” 34. Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (John 8:31-36 NIV)

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. 15. All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. 16. Only let us live up to what we have already attained. 17. Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do. 18. For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. 19. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. 20. But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21. who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. (Philippians 3:12-21 NIV)

Dr. Brian Hill (Senior Pastor), "A Study of Philippians: Working Out Our Salvation", Video Presentation, Modern Worship Praise Team (11:15 Service). 12. Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13. for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. 14. Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15. so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16. as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain. 17. But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. 18. So you too should be glad and rejoice with me. Dr. Brian Hill (Senior Pastor), "When Hard Times Come: Ruth 1", Video Presentation, Modern Worship Praise Team (11:15 Service).1. In the days when the judges ruled, there was a famine in the land. So a man from Bethlehem in Judah, together with his wife and two sons, went to live for a while in the country of Moab. 2. The man's name was Elimelek, his wife's name was Naomi, and the names of his two sons were Mahlon and Kilion. They were Ephrathites from Bethlehem, Judah. And they went to Moab and lived there.3. Now Elimelek, Naomi's husband, died, and she was left with her two sons. 4. They married Moabite women, one named Orpah and the other Ruth. After they had lived there about ten years, 5. both Mahlon and Kilion also died, and Naomi was left without her two sons and her husband.6. When Naomi heard in Moab that the Lord had come to the aid of his people by providing food for them, she and her daughters-in-law prepared to return home from there. 7. With her two daughters-in-law she left the place where she had been living and set out on the road that would take them back to the land of Judah.8. Then Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go back, each of you, to your mother's home. May the Lord show you kindness, as you have shown kindness to your dead husbands and to me. 9. May the Lord grant that each of you will find rest in the home of another husband.”Then she kissed them goodbye and they wept aloud 10. and said to her, “We will go back with you to your people.”11. But Naomi said, “Return home, my daughters. Why would you come with me? Am I going to have any more sons, who could become your husbands? 12. Return home, my daughters; I am too old to have another husband. Even if I thought there was still hope for me—even if I had a husband tonight and then gave birth to sons— 13. would you wait until they grew up? Would you remain unmarried for them? No, my daughters. It is more bitter for me than for you, because the Lord's hand has turned against me!”14. At this they wept aloud again. Then Orpah kissed her mother-in-law goodbye, but Ruth clung to her.15. “Look,” said Naomi, “your sister-in-law is going back to her people and her gods. Go back with her.”16. But Ruth replied, “Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. 17. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.” 18. When Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her.19. So the two women went on until they came to Bethlehem. When they arrived in Bethlehem, the whole town was stirred because of them, and the women exclaimed, “Can this be Naomi?”20. “Don't call me Naomi,[b]” she told them. “Call me Mara,[c] because the Almighty[d] has made my life very bitter. 21. I went away full, but the Lord has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi? The Lord has afflicted[e] me; the Almighty has brought misfortune upon me.”22. So Naomi returned from Moab accompanied by Ruth the Moabite, her daughter-in-law, arriving in Bethlehem as the barley harvest was beginning. (Ruth 1:1-22 NIV)

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. This, then, is how you should pray: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today, our daily bread". (Matthew 6:6-11 NIV)

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing[a] her by the washing with water through the word, 27. and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing[a] her by the washing with water through the word, 27. and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. (Ephesians 5:21-27 NIV)

A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.11. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.12. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.13. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.14. She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.15. She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants.16. She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.17. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.18. She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.19. In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.20. She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.21. When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.22. She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple.23. Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.24. She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.25. She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.26. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.27. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.28. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 29. “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”30. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.31. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
