जब भी हम कोई इवेंट register करते हैं, और उसमें participate करते हैं, हमारा पूरा focus होता है उस event से maximum फ़ायदा उठाने का - to make it count. But because we get so engrossed in our own world, we rarely ever think about anybody else - the race organisers, their team, their efforts, for example. कभी photographer के बारे में सोचा है? Apart from when you didn't get your photos on time and wanted someone to scream at. We don't really care about much else. But these guys are artists, they're craftsmen and sometimes they're involved in more than just their mandate and put themselves in situations where they can capture the very essence of endurance sport through stories that touch, move and inspire us to toe the start line, yet again. Today's conversation is with Pushkar, who's the founder of Bawray Banjarey, a beautiful community on Instagram, give it a follow for some enriching content. If you've run an ultramarathon, there's a high likelihood that you would have seen Pushkar with a camera capturing running stories of triumph and misery in equal measure. This conversation captures Pushkar's personal journey in great detail, and we touch upon a few conversations around running as well. A quick word of Caution: In some places, we may have used language that maybe considered inappropriate by some, so viewer discretion is advised. And so without further ado, here's Pushkar and me in the Find your ultra podcast, episode 42. आनंद लीजिए! Dujuan Cherry, the creative force behind Agency ML, offers valuable insights into navigating the world of wealth advisory. He emphasizes the importance of embodying your brand and becoming the character you aspire to be. As we delve deeper, Dujuan shares his ambitious plans for incorporating AI and creating short films. He opens up about his dream of transforming Milwaukee into a production hub for great shows and talent. He envisions a future where Hollywood comes to Milwaukee, providing the talent in his city an elevated platform. Listen in as Dujuan shares insights into creating an unforgettable customer experience and his unique approach to video production. For an episode packed with passion, determination, and a fresh perspective on building a local Hollywood, tune in. Episode Highlights: 14:11 - Talk about what you do, talk about the importance of your service. But not only that, do whatever you can, you know. Volunteer your time. It's always good. Once again, kind of going back to that it's always good to give more than you take. So, volunteer your time. At the end, people will see that, and people will understand this is somebody who loves us and not just wants to have us as a client. 18:48 - I feel when you see something visually and you're hearing a person's story, you feel as if you're in the room with them. It's almost as if there's a relatability. It just tells a better story visually. People are attracted to movies, and movies tell a great story. And if you can create almost a movie-like feel to whatever message you're trying to portray to your specific type of clientele for your business, then it's going to have that same sort of emotion behind it.29:04 - I think I want Milwaukee to become a place where you don't have to go to Hollywood. Hollywood will come to us. And I think that's the biggest thing right now that I'm working on. I guess you could say, new business plan or try to incorporate that within the business, but I want to build a film-slash-television show production where great shows are being put on major networks. And people are either moving to Milwaukee or young talent are auditioning in Milwaukee.Connect with Elzie LinkedInSupport the journeyJoin the Flame StartersContact Dujuan CherryLinkedInInstagram

On this episode of Beyond The Lens, I'm sharing my recent experience in Borneo, Indonesia: the rainforest, the photographic challenges the rainforest creates, and the "persons of the forest," the orangutans. I talk about the existential threats that orangutans face caused by deforestation and loss of habitat due to development and palm oil plantations. You can help keep orangutans from extinction by buying products using environmentally sustainable palm oil with the RSPO label or donating to organizations like Save The Orangutan, whose mission is to save and protect the critically endangered orangutan and its last remaining habitats in Borneo and to raise national and international awareness of the severe deforestation threatening the orangutan's future existence.I also answer a few of your questions submitted via social media, including how to sleep on a plane, the best settings for wildlife on my Canon R5, my most embarrassing moment as a photographer, and more.Other Notable links:Beyond The Lens: Episode 5 (Ask Me Anything V1)Beyond The Lens: Episode 19 (Photography From the Bottom of the World)Beyond The Lens: Episode 34 (Ian Plant and Rick Sammon - Thinking vs. Feeling Compositions)WOAOW Sleep MaskTherm-a-Rest Compressible PillowThis episode was brought to you by Luminar Neo. “We teach people how to think of us.”Are you ready to steer your reputation? Are you ready to up-level your brand? Are you ready to connect with your audience and show them who you really are? Are you ready to create visual assets that frame the way you are seen and understood? And, most importantly….are you ready to show up on purpose? My name is Marlana and I am an international photographer and visual strategist. My client base has included athletes, celebrities, WWE Superstars and public figures including Miss North Carolina. My experience includes storytelling, advertising, location scouting and set styling and design. My work has been featured on magazine covers and in NY Times ads.I have been hosting Your Iconic Image for 100 episodes now and for episode 100, my first guest, John Dalrymple is going to turn things around and interview me. www.marlanasemenza.comIG: marlana.semenza.photoTranscription : Vision In WordMarlanaWell, welcome to the 100th episode of Your Iconic Image. And today, you are actually going to get a little insight on me, and what we're going to do is, we're going to bring this whole thing full circle. My very first guest is going to do the interview. If you missed his episode, please go back and watch it. It is called What Makes An Icon? John, the show's yours. JohnWell, hello, Marlana. How are you? Marlana I'm well. John Well, it's an honor to talk with you today. You know, you are a genuine and authentic person, incredibly talented. And I would even say gifted in your ability to bring out the best in people. You've reached this milestone 100 podcast. And today, we get the chance to get to know you. Even though you've done 100 podcasts, many people really don't know what you do. So, first question, tell us about what you do.MarlanaI am a photographer and visual strategist. So, what that means is, I take all the things that make you unique, and I bridge the gap between that and what your audience or clients need to know. I do that in images, and that's in a nutshell, that is that.JohnOkay, you're in a crowded field, as we all are. Tell us what makes you different than other photographers.MarlanaI think part of it is my background. But also, at its core, I'm really not in the photography business. Photography is the vessel that I used, and the means of communication that I use. But really, I'm in the reputation business. And so, I think that's the biggest difference.

Their member companies provide logistic and scientific support to National Antarctic Programs and Antarctic organizations. With more than 200 annual departures to Antarctica, tour vessels offer an essential opportunity for researchers and science programs. In this episode of Beyond The Lens, Richard sits down with the Executive Director at the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO), Gina Greer. She delves into the Antarctic Treaty, which upholds that Antarctica will only be used for peace and scientific purposes, and how IAATO works to support this agreement. She highlights how she got involved in the marine conservation industry after initially training as an accountant. It's that time again. Time to recap the year as we head into… WHAT?! End of year recap in September? I promise there's a reason for it and I'm sharing it all. Listen in to this very last Success Beyond the Lens episode for 2022 and learn what to expect for the business and podcast going forward! As you know, moving into the fall and winter seasons, the photography world goes bananas. For many photographers, this is the busiest time of year, which means it's also my busiest time of year. What I have found is that trying to juggle it all while still providing the best level of service and attention to our clients is not productive. So this year, we're pausing new episodes of the podcast before we hit the busy season and we'll be back in January. But that's not what this episode is all about. No! You're here to learn all about the ins and outs and ups and downs that we've faced so far in 2022. To say that this year has been a year of growth would be an understatement. Not just a year of growth in revenue, but also a year of growth both personally and professionally for me. This year I've truly gone from being in my business and doing the client work, to running my business, building a team, and helping to support them in providing fantastic service to our clients. If you've ever hired any team members ever, you know what a huge shift that is. Listen as I share how this shift has impacted my work days as well as my personal life and why it's amazing but also unsettling at the same time. If you're experiencing growth in your business, know that discomfort is normal and it really is a catalyst for great things to come. See you in 2023! In This Episode: [01:04] I know it's crazy to talk about doing a 2022 wrap up at the end of September. [01:47] Listen as I share why I'm doing it now instead of later. [02:43] Let's chat about everything that's happened in 2022. [06:16] I realized that I needed to make some changes to free up some space to run my business. [08:36] Now I have more time in my days than I've ever had in my business and it feels weird. [11:47] I've also made time to do things I like to do. [13:13] The hardest thing has been figuring out how to manage the new dynamics of my business. [17:24] “Make sure you are not making your business your life.” [19:00] I'll see you in January.
