The Creator of Gears of War & Unreal Cliff "Cliffy B" Bleszinski stops by to talk about his new memoir "Control Freak". It's a no holds barred account about his entire life starting as a a Nintendo Champion, Game Maker, but also an awkward nerd, who lost his Dad, and even got molested. Actor Zach McGowan from Starz "Black Sails" The 100 on the CW, and countless other film and tv credits, joins the show to talk about his new movie "Sanctioning Evil". We talk about his experience making the film, but other films with Danny Glover and the underrated flick "Dracula Untold".Skungy's Pick of the Week is "Gotham Knights" which was sold as a sequel to the Arkham series, but is no such thing. Add on the fact that the combat system stinks and the price tag is too high, you have a flop.In Top Nerd News, we cover the strange love affair the world seems to have for James Cameron'd "Avatar" series. The sequel is due out soon, and there is already a plan for what they'll do if it's a box office flop. Later we check out the new trailer for "A Christmas Story 2" which is technically the 3rd movie because of the straight to video "A Christmas Story 2 : The Official Sequel". Finally we make some wild guesses as to what Black Panther 2 aka "Wakanda Forever" will be about, and how well Namor and the New Black Panther is received. All that and more on The Week in Geek with D Squared. Staff Sergeant Reginald Barnes (Tobias Truvillion), a decorated war hero, is dishonorably discharged after four tours of duty when a soldier under his command goes rogue. Disenfranchised by the very government he served with honor, Barnes is now alone to piece his life back together. But he finds his way back into society after being recruited by the charismatic and ambitious politician Dakota Ambrose (Zach McGowan) and his life is given new purpose. As the mission unfolds, Barnes and Ambrose walk a fine line between covert military operations on civilian soil and unsanctioned retribution toward an underground criminal element, all while being tracked by FBI special agent Kensington (Taryn Manning).

New "Kahnversations" Podcast with Actor Ashton Holmes! Ashton just finished an arc on Amazon’s 6th season of Bosch which, as of April 17th, is now streaming. He recently shot the independent feature, ACTS OF VIOLENCE opposite Bruce Willis, Mike Epps & Sophia Bush. He can also be seen on BET’s BEING MARY JANE, opposite Gabrielle Union. Previously, Ashton was seen in IMPERFECTIONS opposite Zach McGowan as well as independent feature PASADENA opposite Peter Bogdanovich, Cheryl Hines and Alicia Witt. Prior to this, he starred in the CBS pilot ONLY HUMAN opposite Jamie Lee Curtis, and the ABC pilot RECKLESS for executive producer / director Martin Campbell. One of Ashton’s most critically acclaimed TV performances was playing the villainous Tyler Barroll on the first season of ABC’s hit show REVENGE. Also, on the small screen was his memorable performance as Sydney Phillips in the Emmy winning HBO miniseries THE PACIFIC, executively produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. His other credits include the CW’s NIKITA, the CW's ARROW, ABC’s BOSTON LEGAL, the independent feature PEACEFUL WARRIOR starring Nick Nolte, SMART PEOPLE opposite Dennis Quaid, Sarah Jessica Parker and Ellen Page for Miramax, and WINDCHILL starring alongside Emily Blunt and produced by Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney. There are so many inspiring podcasts with fabulous stars out there. But their careers feel light years away from ours, don’t they? Wouldn’t it be great to hear from the guy who just booked his first pilot? Or the kid finally doing a studio pic after a bunch of low budget indies? Or the woman who’s been a series regular a few times but is only now becoming a name? What about the guy who’s been on a show for years and you know his face but what’shisnameagain? Or that actress who is now a freakin’ showrunner???? How’d THEY do it, right? How did they transition from relative obscurity, bartending and bottle service, to buying that house in Brentwood? We’re producing “Kahnversations,” a podcast that provides access to THOSE people -- your immediate predecessors -- so that you can learn from them while their battle scars are still fresh. In “Kahnversations,” our own Ryan Bailey interviews some of Lesly Kahn & Company’s working actors, directors, and writers in order to learn how they got started in Hollywood, the challenges and hurdles they faced, and how they overcame the odds. (They also dish out some crazy stories!) Listen in and enjoy as these entertainers speak candidly about their paths, processes, and experiences. You might even hear a bit about how Lesly and the Kahnstitute have influenced and shaped their careers.

Recently as part of the Edinburgh International Film Festival Craig was able to sit down with the director and cast of Robert the Bruce. The conversation included director Richard Gray as well as starts Angus MacFadyen, Zach McGowan and Anna Hutchison. The discussion covered cold weather filming, themes being explored, how ideals are interpreted along with a quick question about Power Rangers, The 100 and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Bear in mind the interview was conducted in a busy hotel lobby so there is some background noise but the conversation is more than clear.
