What do you do when wholesale for brick-and-mortar sales suddenly causes you to lose the Buy Box? There's only one thing to do: get out of brick-and-mortar sales. That's exactly what Anna Maria from BabyForte did after large online pharmacies snatched the Buy Box away from her on Amazon. Local pharmacies reacted immediately and negatively to her cautious price adjustment. Since then, she has been focusing fully on her online business again. In this podcast episode, she talks about the three phases a D2C brand goes through when it is being built up, why she continues to invest in her web shop, why she relies on a clearly defined brand portfolio, and why she is not looking for investors at the moment. She also reveals why her team spends every week analyzing click rates.Note from the sponsor Taxdoo:Every marketplace trader can tell you a thing or two about it: different tax rates, different responsibilities, tax advisors who are inexperienced in e-commerce. As Alexander Klinger from MediaMarktSaturn knows it's not enough stock, no prep for returns and customer inquiries, poor product content and shipping KPIs all over the place. Thriving Adoptees - Inspiration For Adoptive Parents & Adoptees
We all have trauma. Infertility traumatises and miscarriage takes that to a different level of pain. For Anna Maria miscarriage prompted depression. Listen in as she shares her learnings from bouncing back from that, raising her daughters and finding peace.Anna Maria DiDio, MSW is a writer, speaker and educator who has devoted her time and talents to organizations focusing on women, girls and families. She is also the mother of two wonderful women. Her younger daughter joined the family through adoption. Here's more about Anna Maria from her website:"Twenty years ago, the myth of adoption had me hooked and I was unprepared for the journey ahead. My mission in writing children's books is to encourage open conversation about adoptee love and loss so that all blended families thrive! When reading together, allow your child to express honest emotions and feelings. All of the events in my books have been inspired by our own family experience, chronicled in my memoir – Love at the Border.Shattered by infertility, Anna Maria knew that adoption was the only way to realize the family of her dreams. That is how she found herself in a Mexican orphanage ready to meet a six-year-old girl. Once in their forever home, her new daughter cried and pleaded to return to the women who had cared for her since birth. Anna Maria was devastated."https://www.amdidio.com/https://www.instagram.com/annamariadidiomsw/https://www.facebook.com/AnnaMariaDiDioMSW Guests and the host are not (unless mentioned) licensed pscyho-therapists and speak from their own opinion only. A memória física e emocional", diz.

For the 37th episode of “Reading the Art World,” host Megan Fox Kelly speaks with Ian Wardropper, author and former director of The Frick Collection, about his illuminating new book “The Fricks Collect: An American Family and the Evolution of Taste in the Gilded Age,” published by The Frick Collection in association with Rizzoli Electa.Wardropper shares the fascinating story of Henry Clay Frick's evolution from a rough Pittsburgh businessman to one of America's most discerning collectors. Through careful research into the Frick archives, Wardropper shows how Frick spent his first twenty years collecting contemporary American art — learning to develop his eye and work with dealers — before making the leap to Old Master paintings at the highest level of the market. Our conversation reveals Frick's distinctive approach to collecting: his relentless focus on quality over quantity, his willingness to edit and refine his holdings, and his vision for creating harmonious environments where great paintings lived alongside exceptional decorative arts. Wardropper also brings to light the crucial role of Helen Clay Frick, whose strong opinions and different tastes shaped the collection's growth after her father's death, including her establishment of the world-renowned Frick Art Research Library. This episode provides essential insights for collectors, museum professionals, and anyone interested in how great collections are built and sustained across generations. Wardropper's deep understanding of both the Frick family's story and the institution's transformation offers a compelling look at American collecting at its finest.ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ian Wardropper served as the Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Director of The Frick Collection for 14 years, leading the institution through its most transformative period, including the first comprehensive renovation in nearly 90 years and the innovative Frick Madison project. Previously, he held curatorial positions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art as Chairman of European Sculpture and Decorative Arts and at the Art Institute of Chicago for twenty years. A specialist in European decorative arts and sculpture, Wardropper oversaw ambitious exhibitions, a major capital campaign that raised $242 million, and pioneering digital initiatives including the acclaimed "Cocktails with a Curator" series. He holds a Ph.D. in art history from NYU and was named a Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et Lettres by the French Minister of Culture.PURCHASE THE BOOK https://shop.frick.org/the-fricks-collect-an-american-family-and-the-evolution-of-taste-the-gilded-age-softcoverSUBSCRIBE, FOLLOW AND HEAR INTERVIEWS:For more information, visit meganfoxkelly.com, hear our past interviews, and subscribe at the bottom of our Of Interest page for new posts.Follow us on Instagram: @meganfoxkelly"Reading the Art World" is a live interview and podcast series with leading art world authors hosted by art advisor Megan Fox Kelly. Men Tisdagsklubbens guidade fågelturer fortsatte.

Although the history of Indonesian music has received much attention from ethnomusicologists and Western composers alike, almost nothing has been written on the interaction of missionaries with local culture. Missionaries, Anthropologists, and Music in the Indonesian Archipelago (U California Press, 2025) represents the first attempt to concentrate on the musical dimension of missionary activities in Indonesia. In fourteen essays, a group of distinguished scholars show the complexity of the topic: while some missionaries did important scholarship on local music, making recordings and attempting to use local music in services, others tried to suppress whatever they found. Many were collaborating closely with anthropologists who admitted freely that they could not have done their work without them. And both parties brought colonial biases into their work. By grappling with these realities and records, this book is a collective effort to decolonize the project of making music histories. Byung Ho Choi is a Ph.D. candidate in the History and Ecumenics program at Princeton Theological Seminary, concentrating in World Christianity and history of religions. His research focuses on the indigenous expressions of Christianities found in Southeast Asia, particularly Christianity that is practiced in the Muslim-dominant archipelagic nation of Indonesia. More broadly, he is interested in history and the anthropology of Christianity, complexities of religious conversion and social identity, inter-religious dialogue, ecumenism, and World Christianity. Welcome back to The Latin Prayer Podcast! Today, we're diving into the 100 Requiem Chaplet—a powerful devotion for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, with a profound connection to Blessed Anna Maria Taigi. Bl. Anna Maria, a mystic and visionary, was given extraordinary insights into the spiritual realm. One of her greatest devotions was this chaplet, which she prayed fervently for the release of souls from purgatory. It is said that through this prayer, countless souls were freed and abundant graces were poured out from Heaven. In this episode, I'll walk you through the 100 Requiem Chaplet, how to pray it, and why it holds such a privileged place in Catholic tradition. If you've never prayed this before, you may be surprised by the depth of its power and the graces attached to it.
