In this message we take a look at the topics of abortion, biblical marriage, racism, human government, and the persecuted church. Sanctity of life ultimately comes from being created in the image of God. We also look at the dangers of Neo-Marxism.
Southern Baptists have had a longstanding commitment to advocating for the protection of preborn lives and opposing abortion in every form. This is rooted in the biblical revelation that all people are created in God's image and have inherent value. During a recent pro-life advocacy trip to Washington, D.C., Southern Baptist college students, leaders, and pastors joined us for the 2026 March for Life and advocated alongside us on Capitol Hill. On this episode, you'll hear from two individuals involved in that trip, Dr. Dub Oliver, president of Union University, and Jason Marlin, lead pastor of First Baptist Church in Kirksville, Missouri, and an ERLC trustee. Both men reflect on their recent experience at the 53rd annual March for Life and share about the importance of educating and equipping the next generation to engage faithfully on pro-life issues. Pastor Lance and Shon Thornburg share a message focusing on the importance of supporting pre-born life, and the church's role in aiding those affected by abortion. They explain how Love Life ministries offers resources to encourage people to choose life, and critiques cultural challenges to family and life values. They invite the church to get involved in pro-life efforts, emphasizing leadership, prayer, and community support, while encouraging participation in events that uphold the mission of life.
Olivia Lupia of The Tennessee Conservative interviews State Representative Monty Fritts, who is also running for governor, discussing upcoming bills and his legislative priorities for the session. The bill filing deadline was extended to February 3rd at 3:00 p.m..Key topics and bills discussed include:Grocery Sales Tax Bill: Representative Fritts is running a bill that would remove the 4% state sales tax on items that qualify for WIC. He notes that this is the same bill he carried a couple of years ago and it removes the burden from grocers by not requiring them to reprogram anything. The intent is that all Tennessee citizens would benefit from the tax removal on these items. A few years ago, the fiscal note was about $150 million. He believes this is a "measured step forward" compared to trying to remove all grocery taxes and that the dollars saved by Tennesseans will go back into the economy.Charlie Kirk Memorial Courtyard Bill: Representative Fritts and Senator Pod are running a bill for schools that would create the Charlie Kirk Memorial Courtyard. The idea evolved from an initial proposal for a road or boulevard. The courtyards are intended to be a conversation space, memorializing the importance of dialogue, and would allow for public donations to help. The idea is to remind "crazy leftist Marxist radicals" on college campuses that they are near things like the Ten Commandments and the Declaration of Independence.Illegal Immigration: Representative Fritts believes Tennessee has led the nation in addressing illegal immigration, specifically with House Bill 1872, which addresses violent crime committed by illegal immigrants with a life in prison sentence without parole. He also highlighted the importance of considering residency status for bond.Non-Essentialism Bill: Representative Fritts is still pursuing his non-essentialism bill, which the governor's office has fought for three years.Property Tax: Representative Fritts wants to address property taxes by getting rid of the unrealized capital gain tax. He also wants to fix the value of a home at its 2020 value or what the owner paid for it since then. His bill aims to prevent U.S. citizens from being evicted for delinquent property taxes, especially if they have owned the house for ten years.Sanctity of Life Bill: This bill focuses on five areas and includes provisions related to In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). Representative Fritts stated that to discard or destroy a fertilized egg as part of the IVF process is murder. The bill is intended as a "corrective measure" after Governor Lee did not veto a bill that Fritts believed gave the right to create and discard human life at will. The other categories addressed in the bill are transgender surgeries, human trafficking, and abortion.Obscenity and Pornography: A bill is being introduced to take on obscenity and pornography in public places. It would require places like a strip club to post a sign warning that patrons "may be contributing to human trafficking, sexual assault, and family violence". Books and tapes would also require a warning label similar to a pack of cigarettes.Gun Bills: Representative Fritts is working on two gun bills, which address the "intent to go armed". One bill is already filed. The other bill would also include campus carry, allowing young adults to carry a firearm on campus, and would allow citizens to protect their private property with a firearm. The bill also addresses long guns.

Pastor Ben Smith delivers a powerful sermon on the sanctity of human life, focusing on Leviticus 18:1-5, 21 and addressing abortion from a biblical perspective. Listeners will learn how to honor life by being separate from the world, submitting to God's Word, and recognizing that every life belongs to Him. Through the example of Shiphrah and Puah in Exodus 1, this message challenges believers to respond faithfully in a culture that often devalues life, seeing abortion as a direct rebellion against God's authority.
Is abortion ever justified? Although the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling has been overturned, abortion remains widespread, and debate continues—particularly over whether there are circumstances in which abortion might be considered justifiable.Drawing from Scripture and Christian ethics, Dr. Bernard addresses common objections often raised in public discussion, including cases involving rape, incest, and situations where the life of the mother is at risk. He explains the biblical principles Christians should consider when thinking about and discussing abortion, emphasizing both moral clarity and compassion. This episode is part of Apostolic Life in the 21st Century, a podcast in which Dr. Bernard answers questions about the Bible, Christian living, and current events from a biblical perspective.Visit PentecostalPublishing.com to shop Dr. Bernard's full catalog of published works. On Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, we pause to remember that every life is created by God, known by Him, and deeply valued. Together, we want to be people whose hearts are shaped by compassion, who start at home by honoring life in our everyday relationships, who ask God to open our eyes to the preborn, the vulnerable, and the unseen, and who rest in Jesus, the One who brings life in abundance. As we respond in faith, may our lives reflect His love, truth, and hope to a watching world.

Thanks for lending us your ears and your heart today. This is part 3 of our 4 part series on the Sanctity of Life. This installment turns our attention to a document that has shaped the modern Pro-Life movement in profound and lasting ways. Humanae Vitae, its prophetic insights into human love, the dignity of the family, and the moral vision of the church continues to guide countless individuals and ministries committed to protecting LIFE. If you are not familiar with Humanae Vitae (Latin for "Of Human Life") we hope our discussion will encourage you to read it yourself to better understand why the Catholic Church sees it as an important teaching on defending LIFE and supporting Mother's in need.
Sanctity of Life Day is a reminder that human life is not accidental or ordinary—it is created, intentional, and sacred. This devotional centers on the biblical truth that people have value because they are made in God’s image. Our worth isn’t earned by performance, productivity, age, ability, or circumstance. It’s given by the Creator who formed us, knows us, and calls us His. The devotional also emphasizes God’s personal involvement in every life. Scripture describes Him as the One who sees us before we’re even fully formed, who writes our days with purpose, and who breathes life into humanity. That means every person carries God-given dignity and is never invisible to Him. From the beginning, God’s hand has been on our lives—shaping, guiding, and appointing good works for us to walk in. Because life is sacred to God, His people are called to value it too. That includes choosing life in our own hearts and decisions, and also standing up for those who are overlooked, vulnerable, or not valued by the world around them. The devotional calls believers to reflect God’s heart by protecting, honoring, and advocating for human dignity—speaking up, showing compassion, and living with conviction that every life is worthy of care and protection. Today is an invitation to gratitude for the gift of life, and a renewed commitment to represent God well—by cherishing life the way He does. Main Takeaways Human life is sacred because every person is made in the image of God. Your life is not accidental—God’s hand and purpose are present from the very beginning. Our worth is rooted in God’s creation and care, not in culture’s standards or achievements. God calls His people to choose life and to value the lives of others. Part of godly character is advocating for those who are vulnerable and not valued by society. Today’s Bible Verse: “What is mankind that You are mindful of them, human beings that You care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of Your hands; You put everything under their feet.” - Psalm 8:4-6 Your Daily Prayer Here is a brief excerpt from today’s prayer: “Strengthen us to value and choose life for ourselves, and stand up for individuals who are not valued in our culture.” You can listen to the full prayer here or read the devotional at the links below. "Abortion is a spiritual warfare disguised as a political or social disagreement." — Addy Reilly In this stirring message, Addy Reilly exposes the spiritual roots of the abortion crisis, revealing it not as a political debate, but as a direct attack on the Imago Dei. From the "demonic parody" of the Eucharist to the modern-day schemes of the Satanic Temple, Reilly challenges the church to step outside its walls, arm itself with the Gospel of Peace, and meet those in shame with the same redemptive love Jesus offered the woman at the well. +++++++ You can find our service times on our website: https://www.anctally.com/ You can find sermon highlights on Twitter here: https://x.com/allnationstally
This sermon addresses the sanctity of human life by grounding its value in God's design and character. Pastor Blaine teaches that every human life is created in the image of God, giving it inherent worth, dignity, and purpose from conception to natural death. He emphasizes that the issue is not ultimately political or cultural, but theological—how we view God determines how we treat human life. The message calls believers to respond with both truth and compassion: to uphold God's design for life while extending grace, forgiveness, and hope through the gospel. Blaine challenges the church to be a people who protect the vulnerable, care for those who are hurting, and confidently proclaim Christ as the source of redemption, healing, and true life.

” (James 2:15-17) Sanctity of Life Sunday “Living FaithThe Demonstration (vv. 15-16) 1 Jo. 3:17 17 But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? 18 Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. Pro. 24:11-12 Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. 12 If you say, “Behold, we did not know this, does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work? The Definition (v. 17) Matt. 7:21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” What do we offer? Justice, hope and help. - Justice: is the truth about abortion, voting and speaking Christianly (Psa. 82:3-4). - Hope: reject abortion as the moral wrong (sin) that it is. - Help: tangible (foster care, adoption, body & soul care).
In this special Sanctity of Life message, Pastor Rob Currington shows how we are all made in the image of God.

On today's episode, you'll hear from Terry Dorsett, executive director of the Baptist Churches of New England, about the unique challenges facing New England Baptists, particularly when it comes to advocating for pre-born lives. He also discusses how cooperation with other state conventions like Tennessee and Alabama, fellow SBC entities, and local churches makes pro-life ministry possible in a region that is largely abortion permissive.New England Baptists face other ministry obstacles and opportunities as well, including family issues, pornography and gambling. Even with these challenges, there are encouraging signs of growth. According to Lifeway Research, New England is the only region in the SBC that has grown over the past five years. Terry has served in New England since 1994, first as a pastor, then a church planner, a director of missions, and finally a church planting catalyst before becoming the executive director of the Baptist Churches of New England in 2015.
