Summary: Most people don't recognize the power that's hidden in the last few days of the year. While they do their best to enjoy the holidays, they don't celebrate their personal and professional success. Besides, they don't intentionally plan for a better year next year. They just let these important days slip away with the hope that they will set some new year resolutions at the beginning of the new year as usual without thinking that they may not fulfill their resolutions as usual. Successful people, however, use the last few days of the year very wisely to review the past 360+ days, determine their desired state for next year, and come up with strategies to make it their best year ever. Listen to this episode of the Dream Achievers Podcast in which I share with you a three-step process that helps you take advantage of the power of year end and plan ahead for your best year ever! This is the process my wife and I used a couple of days ago to strategize doubling our business next year. The following video summarizes the three-step process that I share with you in this episode:   Action Steps Complete this 3-step process by specifying your current state, setting your direction, and identifying the skills, tools, and knowledge that you need to go from your current state to your desired state by the end of next year. How to Finish This Year Strong

Summary: Do you know how to finish this year strong? We are approaching the end of the year and you have two options before finishing the year: 1. Do nothing and let the year finish without accomplishing much, 2. Do something and commit to finishing the year strong. Unfortunately, many people choose the first option. They choose to do nothing and wait for the year to end. Even if they know what they have to do, they procrastinate and do nothing. In this episode, I help you choose the second option and provide you a simple process on how to finish this year strong! The process starts with reflecting back over the past 10 to 11 months and realizing how far you have come, what you have achieved, and what you have missed. Even if you have not done much about the goals that you set for yourself at the beginning of the year, it is ok. There is no need to regret or become upset about what you wanted to do but have not done. The purpose of reflection is to review the past without being attached to it so you know your current status. The second step of the process is to define a goal in a specific area of your life so you commit to achieving it in the next 30 days (before the year ends). This goal can be related your career, business, relationship, family, health, finance, contribution, or fun. The critical part of this step is to be specific and define your goal as detailed as possible. Once you define your goal, the next obvious step is to plan for taking necessary action steps and take action right away. However, taking action on its own may not be enough. You need to believe in yourself and that you can achieve this goals, you need to be clear on the outcome you want to see, and you need to have the required discipline for achieving your set goal. I assure you that if you follow this simple process, you can accomplish the goal you set for yourself and finish the year strong! You homework is to follow the above steps and come up with your plan for taking necessary action steps to come up with a goal for finishing this year strong and a plan with action steps for achieving this goal. Meditation for Manifestation

Play Episode Listen Later Oct 5, 2018 36:53

Summary In this episode, I share with you the 8 R's of meditation from a great book by Anthony Strano, a spiritual teacher who left his body a couple of years ago. By integrating meditation in your daily life you can connect with your inner self, get guidance, remove doubt and worry, and manifest your true desires and dreams. We will end this episode with a piece of commentary meditation from Anthony's teaching that covers the 8 R's. From the book, Slaying the Three Dragons, by Anthony Strano "Meditation is the discovery of that point of silence within, like a compass needle that guides us in the right direction at the right time. To become silent, to be still in the ocean of hectic, noisy action, is a choice many people are now making. When this is achieved, this stillness acts on the mind like oxygen, giving the breath to both understand and enrich life. Of course, action is a necessity, an expression of ourselves through time, relationships and the roles we play. However, if we do not sometimes stop and take a breath of silence, then the mind begins to suffocate, thoughts speed like bullet trains and the brain feels as if it is in a pressure cooker. Emotions erupt and react like volcanoes, the eyes become dizzy with mountains of information and the head feels like a rollercoaster. This is stress. The mind needs to come up for air, to leave the jungle of pressures, deadlines and speed and slow down and find the point of silence within. Meditation is the method to find the point that recharges the mind with peace, clarity and balance. We can define meditation as the eight "R's." It is helpful if these eight R's are read slowly, giving time to ponder and gently experience that still point of peace within the self. For each of the R's there is a brief explanation and then a short exercise, which can be repeated if one wishes to. 1. Returning Meditation is the technique of returning to the original qualities of the self, namely peace, purity, love, bliss and wisdom. We can only do that by taking our thoughts inward. 2. Relaxing In meditation, the mind disconnects itself from the thoughts of anything external and connects with the inner self. In this way, it is able to receive the positive current of the original strength of the self: a peaceful source of energy. However, at first it can be difficult to disconnect the many plugs of our everyday life: the plugs of attachment, speed, worry, being busy, etc. It does take some effort. 3. Remembering As the mind relaxes and gently concentrates on the "point source" of peace energy, the individual begins to remember their spiritual identity. The reason why people are so disorientated in their lives and why they often find life boring, tedious, or empty is because they have forgotten who they truly are. 4. Releasing As we remember the forgotten reality of the self as a spiritual being and begin to experience our inner source of peace, we are released from the negativity of our mind: wasteful thinking and thoughts filled with doubt, fear and worry -- the three great dragons that dominate our mind constantly. 5. Relearning As we become free, we begin to respect ourselves and relearn what it means to value our selves, our lives and our existences in this great play of life. Forgotten truths appear and a new education of the self begins. 6. Rediscovering As we relearn, we rediscover our spiritual values and resources and, realizing they were always there, we resolve to use these silent intrinsic truths, which are the foundation of a better quality of life. 7. Restoring As we begin to use these spiritual truths, our original strengths and qualities are restored. There is a transition in consciousness enabling confidence and self-esteem to become a natural way of being. 8. Recharging The leap of consciousness that occurs when we connect with our inner spiritual self is a powerful way of recharging the energies of the human mind...

The Ultimate Recipe for Becoming Strong

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 7, 2018 31:02

Summary In this episode of the Dream Achievers Podcast, I will talk about the reason why everyone faces challenges and why we suffer. I will talk about strength as a key factor for overcoming challenges and how you can develop yourself to become spiritually strong which is the ultimate level of strength. Hellen Keller said: "Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved." So my answer to the question "Why are most people suffering?" is that because they are not strong enough! What does come to your mind when I say strong? Physical strength, emotional strength, mental strength, or spiritual strength? If we want to overcome the challenges and transform suffering to blessing, we need to shift our focus from physical strength to spiritual strength. Being spiritually strong is key to ultimate success. Spiritual strength helps us overcome all challenges. As Thomas Paine said: "The real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress, and grows brave by reflection." When you develop spiritual strength, you go beyond emotional and mental strengths. You connect with the higher power, God. You believe that everything is there for a reason. Here is my ultimate recipe: Become detached, let go of your expectations especially in tough times. Know yourself as a soul and connect with God. When faced with challenges, do your best and leave the rest to God. This is called to be in God’s grace. To have full faith. To KNOW that everything will be all right.       Summary As adults, we usually forget the dreams that we once had in our teenage years. We tend to cover them up and move on with life like most people. When we become adults, get married, and have kids, we tend to dream for them our unfulfilled dreams. We ask them to follow what we say or what suggest because we think that we are very wise and they have to listen to us.This may lead to some conflict down the road. And it may eventually create some distance between us and our kids when they become teenagers. That is why it is crucial for us to understand our teens and their dreams and aspirations better. For this reason, I invited an expert to the Dream Achievers Podcast so we can talk about the teens, their dreams, and how to support them in living their dreams. DAP 011: How to Go Beyond Your Physical Dreams and Desires

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 1, 2018 28:24

Summary What do you want the most? If you had all the money, time, and resources, what would you do? These are the type of questions that you have most probably heard and thought about. Depending on your situation in life, your answers would be different. For instance, if you don't have a car or your car is old, you might desire a car. If you are tired of renting an apartment, you might dream of having your own house. If you have a house but it is not that big, you might desire a bigger house. If you have an iPhone 7, you might dream of having an iPhone X. If you are overweight, you might want to lose weight. If you don't like your shape, you might dream of going under surgery to change your shape! If you are an adventurous, you might desire to travel around the world and have fun. In general, our dreams are linked to our past, present, and future desires. Most of our desires, however, are superficial. Consequently, our dreams do not usually go beyond physical wants and needs. These physical wants and needs are mainly in response to the external noises around us. And since we are living in a world in which we are constantly bombarded with external noises such as advertisements, negative news, and people's opinions about us, we don't get a chance to think more deeply about our true needs and desires. The reality is that when we work hard and fulfill our current physical dreams, we do not become satisfied. We long for more. And since we don't slow down to think why we want what we want, we work even harder to achieve more of our physical dreams and desires. This cycle of wanting more without slowing down may go on until we get old. Eventually, despite all the physical achievements, we may realize that we are not happy internally. We feel empty inside. We lack peace of mind! Unfortunately, most of us leave this world unfulfilled! The question is, how can you avoid this? How can you make sure that you won't end dying unfulfilled? The answer is that you should go beyond physical achievements. Your current dreams and desires should lead you to deeper understanding of yourself, your spiritual growth, and living a fulfilled and happy life. DAP 008: How to Reclaim Your Confidence with Confidence Alchemist, Keith Blakemore-Noble

Many goals and dreams are left unfulfilled because we are not willing to enact the necessary changes. After some trials, we hit a wall and do not see a way out. Our excitement soon turns into disappointment, and our hope into fear and doubt. This will eventually lead to losing confidence and self-belief. "I can't" and "it's hard" become our mantras, and before we know it we have slashed our goal or ditched it altogether. We then jump to another branch, set another goal, and repeat the cycle. The #1 challenge of many people, that stops them from moving forward toward accomplishing their goals and fulfilling their dreams, is their lack of confidence. When you are challenged by a low confidence level, you tend to live in the victim mode and see yourself as much less than who you are or who you can be. You stay inside your comfort zone because you think that if you cross the boundary and go beyond your comfort level you will fail. If you are challenged by low confidence and want to reclaim your confidence or overcome your fears, this episode of the Dream Achievers Podcast is for you! In this episode, I talk to Keith Blakemore-Noble who helps people gain confidence and conquer their phobias. Keith Blakemore-Noble is an international speaker, best-selling author, a radio host, hypnotist, phobia expert, Confidence Alchemist, and an occasional magician. He has taught, performed, and spoken on stages around the globe in UK, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Nepal, Tibet, and USA. Keith is a also master practitioner in NLP and hypnosis, and he's been using hypnosis since 2010 - both to help people conquer phobias and reclaim their confidence, and for fun and entertainment. In this episode, Keith and I will talk about the following: - How Keith became an expert in confidence and phobia - Why confidence matters and the benefits of being confident - How we lose our confidence and and how to gain our confidence back - The meaning behind Confidence Alchemist - The 4 words that have caused many of us lose our confidence in socializing with others and how to fix it - Power of hypnosis and NLP in reprogramming your mind to reclaim your confidence - How to gain confidence using Keith's 6-step process - What does it mean to Be Your Change? DAP 003: Secret to Unlocking Your True Potential

Play Episode Listen Later Feb 9, 2018 27:19

Summary Today's episode of the Dream Achievers Podcast is about your potential. YES, YOUR POTENTIAL. Have you ever heard this sentence from someone? "You have potential!" I am pretty sure you have. Maybe from your friend, your spouse, your manager at work, or a mentor. Or maybe you have read about that in a book. To me, every one of us has a great potential that we normally are not aware of. Many may tell us about our potential and what we could become as a result but they cannot help us unlock it. I want to talk about this latter part today. I want to talk about the secret to unlocking your true potential in life. I want to talk about opening up the gate to your unique potential. When you open up the gate, the opportunities are endless. The problem is that when it comes to our potential and what our true capabilities are, many of us do not care! Unfortunately, we tend to follow the crowd because that is what everyone else does. We go to college because that is customary, we take a low paying job because there is nothing else out there, we settle for less because that is the way it is in our society, we watch 6 hours of TV every day because there is nothing else to do after work, we don't do something new because like everyone else we are busy and do not have time, we eat junk food because like most people we don't have time to cook good and healthy food, we don't save for our future because life is tough already, we don't care because no one seems to care and there is not much we can do about the circumstances in our life. But it does not need to be this way. You don't need to follow the crowd. You don't need to follow media's advice. You can lead your own life to greater heights. We rarely sit and think about how else we can live, how else we can work, and how else we can succeed. That is unfortunate. That is not the way we were meant to live when we decided to come to this world. Life is not about the process that everyone else is going through. Life is about growth, it is about finding our potential, and then fulfilling that potential so we can live a vibrant life. But how? Listen to this episode to discover the secret to unlocking your true potential. What You Will Learn: - The key question to ask yourself for unlocking your true potential - The story that helped me rediscover my true identity and how you can do the same - Why no one can help us unlock and fulfill our potential without our permission - Tips on how to know yourself more deeply so you can unlock your true potential and get to the peak of success and happiness faster Action List - Subscribe to the Dream Achievers Podcast on iTunes - Download the transcription of this episode - Share your thoughts and questions using the comment box below - Order your copy of Get What You Want book - Share this episode with your connections using the social media icons on this page - Join our Facebook Community of Dream Achievers
