Sickness has certainly been a buzz topic the last 2.5 years. In this episode, Claire talks about her changing view of 'sickness' of germs & of injuries. She's sharing how she 'treats' or doesn't treat injuries & illnesses now & why she stopped seeing the chiropractor (or any practitioner). Everything shared in this episode is Claire's personal opinion based on research and personal experimentation. Nothing is to be taken as advice.
Claire's younger son broke his wrist in February this year and needed surgery. In this episode, she shares how she supported him naturally and navigated the medical world in the big C times when you have a different view of the world situation. Nothing in this episode is to be taken as medical advice. All information shared is based on personal experience only.
We all have our own lens through which we view the world. Whether it's our education, our upbringing, our culture, our social circles or even our mood, we may look at the exact same thing as someone else and see it differently. In this episode, Claire shares a glimpse through her own lens at the current state of the world based on years of learning & unlearning and learning it all over again. There are are many things that were likely missed as it's a subject she could speak of for hours. But if there is one thing you take away from it, it's this... always ask yourself 'why do I think that?' That simple question can lead you to so many interesting places.REFERENCESBread Baking 101Back to Basics eCourse
If a smoke detector was going off in your house in the middle of the night, would you take the batteries out to stop it beeping & climb back into bed?OR would you get up, see if something's actually on fire, get everyone out safely then attend to the fire?Maybe it's a rubbish analogy but it's something I speak about in this episode. It's an analogy that makes sense in my head (when so many things don't) to explain the way I see one aspect of things right now.I've felt so many things weighing heavily on me recently & wasn't quite sure how to express myself other than talking it out, unscripted. I spoke about privilege, division, what I think it will take to bring us back together again & some little suggestions to help us remember we are one, but we are many.I hope it might help those who are afraid to speak to find their voice. I hope it might help those who don't understand me or think I'm insane to at least see my perspective. See my heart behind what I share & the way I see things.I also hope it will make those who think I'm 'the problem,' or I'm selfish or (insert other derogatory thought) that I can understand where others are coming from. I really can. I'm not oblivious to it. I'm not ignoring it. I don't not take this seriously. Most of all I hope it inspires a little more unity, a little less division.
Claire's talking connection. Back in 2019, after a particularly life-changing conference, Claire recorded an episode on what she believed was missing from our lives and perhaps contributing to our worsening mental and physical health. But she never hit publish. Back then she thought it might be too controversial and she didn’t feel ‘brave’ enough to open that can of worms.2021 Claire – hand her a can of worms and she’ll open it.Claire’s speaking of why connection is so important now more than ever and simple changes you can make to set you on your way back to yourself.2020 has highlighted just how disconnected we have become from our food, nature, our bodies and each other. Whether that’s by design of big business or simply a natural drifting is anyone’s guess but Claire is determined to help us reconnect. So we can be happier and healthier, together.FREEBIES:Toxin cheat sheet to save to your phoneREFERENCES:Foaming hand soap recipeDry Shampoo recipeLow Tox HomeFind Claire online:Instagram - @clairekcreationswww.clairekcreations.comJoin The Natural Life Facebook groupThank you for listeningI really appreciate you choosing to listen to From the Heart of the Home and for supporting the podcast. Please, leave an honest review on iTunes.
