Darwin Hobbs is one of the most respected and sought after recording artists and Worship Pastors in Gospel music. His inimitable, supple tenor (often compared with the great Luther Vandross) has provided a rich backdrop to hundreds of recordings by artists including Michael W. Smith, Jars of Clay, Amy Grant, Michael Card, Bebe and Cece Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Michael McDonald, Donna Summer, Chris Tomlin, and countless others. In the late 90s, Darwin Hobbs was signed to EMI Gospel Records (now Motown Gospel). He released seven solo albums, each solidifying his status as a “singer's singer”. After leaving EMI, Hobbs released Champion: Live through a joint venture deal with Universal Music. That album won a Stellar Gospel Music Award for Praise & Worship CD of the Year. Most recently, Hobbs and wife Traci launched HeartArt Worship, an independent label and partnered with Fairtrade Gospel and Tyscot Records to release his latest single “Get Ready”. He has served as Worship Pastor and/or Creative Director at some of the country's largest, most progressive churches. Currently, Hobbs currently serves as the Worship Pastor at the 38,000 member Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, NY under the leadership of Dr. A.R. Bernard. In his first-ever podcast interview, Hobbs shares the inside scoop with host Zack Reynolds, Jr. about: - His rise to musical stardom from his hometown of Cincinnati even though he didn't want to be a singer - His greatest lessons learned from failure and how to overcome personal and professional setbacks - The lucrative side of session work in the Nashville music scene and the Advertising Industry - The Power of Relationships and how they produce longevity - What he would do if he had to start over today FOLLOW the podcast by pressing (+) above and turn on notifications.
