Author and singer/songwriter Mack Holland has had a love of poetry and singing going straightback to his childhood. After recording his first song in 2013, and a book in 2017, he is continuinghis musical journey with a new gospel song “Lord I Thank You” that comes out at the end of themonth.“Lord I Thank You” features himself on vocals along with a gospel singer named BernardWilliams, as well as background vocalist Ashley Herring. Holland called the tune a “smooth, andupbeat” track that people are going to love.“This is a song I wrote that is basically thanking the Lord for all he's done for me,” Holland said.“That's basically what he talks about. When it comes on, I'm saying a prayer, thanking the Lordfor all he's done for me. And Mr. Williams starts to sing about all the things that God has donefor us in our lives.”Holland added, “I've let some people hear it, of course, and a lot of people are loving it.”Holland was raised in South Carolina and moved to Augusta, Georgia in 1988. As a child hegrew up in the church, singing in the choirs as well as in neighborhood groups and the schoolchorus. He was the lead singer of a group at the age of 13, but this was not on the radar aboutsomething he would really make into a career. At about 16 he started writing poetry and songs, with some in a catalog in the Library of Congress. He wrote the song “I Ain't Got No Money Honey” in 2011, which is when artist and repertoirerepresentatives caught on and asked him to put music to it. He started working with ParamountStudios in Nashville in 2014, where this song and “Your Love is a Thrill” was recorded. Then in2016, Holland wrote a gospel tune called “Are You Ready For Your Blessing.” This was the firstsong he recorded on his own, as Paramount was not involved in gospel music, and now at age60 he is continuing his musical journey.Holland has been working with Grammy Award winning producer Kevin Bond since 2016, andhas recorded six songs to date. Some songs included “He Is,” “Love Me Now” and “Are YouReady.” These songs are all readily available on all platforms for listening.Holland has written inspirational books, such as “Sweet Inspiration: The Mack Holland Book ofInspiration, Poetry and Song,” where the lyrics for a new song on the horizon called “MyFavorite Girl” are included. He said he owes his experience as a writer to his work in music.“I was a writer and just loved writing poetry, and that's what I started doing,” Holland said. “And Iwas basically recommended to start playing music. That's why I call it a blessing. One thing hasled to another, and now I just enjoy doing it all the time.”When Holland writes music he likes to inspire people. He said this is why he has songs of love, gospel inspirations and Christmas songs that transcend genres.“I like to sit down and think about things that can inspire mankind, and make you feel goodabout yourself and feel good about others,” Holland said. “And keeping the Lord in mind. Mymusic is inspirational music.”Mack Holland's brand new track, “Lord I Thank You,” as well as his other songs, can be found atall major music platforms.https://mackholland.comSpotifyApple MusicYouTube

We're joined by Warren Cummings & Brian Stock, two players who graced the Cherries shirt for over 16 years between them. One a midfield maestro, the other an attacking full-back - they both found regular first-team football at Bournemouth, going through some lows and highs both on and off the pitch. Was Sean O'Driscoll ahead of his time? What was Warren's relationship like with Kevin Bond. Was Jimmy Quinn as unprofessional as others seem to suggest? And what of the current Premier League squad? Warren is a Scottish international who clocked up over 250 appearances for the Cherries. He put in great defensive performances on the pitch but also had a desire to get forward - he was full of energy on the pitch and stayed around with us for around ten seasons, so this meant that for his services to AFC Bournemouth, he received a testimonial match against AC Milan on 3 September 2016. Alongside him is Brian Stock, who wore the Red & Black for 6 six years under Sean O’Driscoll before linking up with him again a bit later at Doncaster Rovers where he spent another significant chunk of his career. Now, at AFC Bournemouth, like Warren, he has a role coaching the youth. If anyone has both the heart and skill that perfectly personifies a supremely successful musician and Christian creative entrepreneur, it's Trent Phillips. From his roots as a music minister in Miami, to becoming the driving force behind a vast catalog of Grammy, Dove, and Stellar Award-winning albums and songs, Trent Phillips has established himself as one of the leading Producers, Musical Directors and Keyboardists of our generation. Far from resting on his accomplishments in music, which include directing bands and producing for Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Donnie McClurkin, Bishop Paul S. Morton, and dozens of other top-tier gospel legends, Trent has continuously dedicated himself to raising up the next generation of musicians and creatives. In this revealing and inspiring interview, Trent reveals the process that shaped his career in gospel music industry, and his character as a Christian and businessperson. You'll hear in his own words what he learned from his early years in music ministry, to becoming a MD on one of the most iconic albums in gospel music history, and the lessons he'd learned as a leader of worship leaders and coach to the next generation of music ministers and producers. How he remained in mentorship relationships that helped him connect with the right artistsHow his early years steered him toward the path of music and how multiple influences kept him flexible as a musicianHow being open to God's leading resulted in the biggest shift in his musical careerWhy musicians cannot be presumptuous in their dedication to only one career pathWhy he prioritizes the value of the local church despite his worldwide successHis most treasured moment and the moments when he knew he had wasted an opportunitiesHis advice to every musician and creative in a post COVID-19 music industry For more show notes and links, tap here! In an industry that often seems to reward ‘overnight success', is it worth it to perfect your craft, maintain professional principles, and learn from the best mentors you can find? According to creative entrepreneur, background vocalist and vocal producer Rachel James of Bridge Hooks & Stuff Entertainment, it's more than worth it - it's the most valuable thing you could do to ensure you maintain a spot in the rough and tumble role of being a backing vocalist.Rachel James began her musical career as a child touring the nation with a gospel group, and quickly learned the professional standards she would be expected to maintain throughout her life. Her career then brought her into an opportunity to work with top gospel artist Darwin Hobbs, who continued to help mold her personal and professional approach to life as a background singer. Noticing a need for a consistent presence in the background vocalist space, she founded Bridge Hooks & Stuff Entertainment in 2009, as a network of professional vocalists that would serve as the “Go-To” agent for entertainment industry professionals to find singers for their musical endeavors and projects.Since its inception, BHS has served clients in every facet of the entertainment industry, and has provided professional assistance to top industry professionals such as Kevin Bond, Adam Blackstone, Melanie Fiona, Musiq Soulchild, India Arie, Angie Stone and many more. Production credits for Rachel's company include the Trumpet Awards, BET's The Monique Show and Bobby Jones Gospel, Trinity Broadcasting Network's weekly production of “Praise the Lord,” numerous shows on the Gospel Music Channel, and the list continues. In this frank and powerful discussion, Rachel reveals how tough love and consistent mentoring helped her earn the valuable respect and reputation needed to sustain a career in the music industry. Now as a leader in the field herself, she is partnering with other top industry professionals to offer training opportunities like The Blended Training Day, which she is co-hosting in the summer of 2020 with fellow background singer Jasmine Crumley. In this interview, you will learn: How being trained at an early age affects your outlook on performingHow Rachel struggled figure out professional standards and apply them - both for her self and her clients The mentors that helped her make the shift to being a professional business ownerWhy you might need to stay close to your current position, and when to shift and take a riskThe importance of investing in training development and knowledge How her new event will bring together the biggest names in the industry to help train BGVS and artists the essential tools for success as a background vocalistLearn more about Rachel Bridges, Hooks and Stuff EntertainmentRegister for The Blended Training DayConnect with Rachel on InstagramFollow BHS on InstagramOther Resources: Learn about The 4 Questions you need to ask before going Full-Time in Arts and EntertainmentJoin our God and Gigs Facebook Group so you can watch more of our Facebook Live chats!

Kevin Bond is a jack of all trades and a master of many. This man is very driven to make the world a better place and he is championing that cause in his beautiful home of Kelowna BC. He believes in everyone. These ideals of a world driven by empathy started during his early childhood with the help of his grandma. He has literally faced death on numerous occasions. He died for a few minutes on an operating table in 2002, but that didn't stop him from continuing to drive his businesses and retire at 39. Kevin still works very hard in the community with the homeless and disenfranchised. If you were to ask him what he actually does, he would describe himself as an extremely aware Canadian political economist. This is a fascinating, wide ranging conversation about growing up in a farming community on the prairies, love, loss, near-death experiences, gratitude, curling, and our mutual love of baseball. I've always been around music!!! It’s in my DNA. My family is full of singers, musicians, producers, and songwriters, and it was my destiny to be in music. My father and mother made sure that my siblings and I had a very healthy balance of different styles of music ranging from Gospel, Classical, Soul, R&B, Jazz, Funk and Neo-Soul(I got into Hip-Hop by hearing OutKast’s Jazzy Bells lol). After hearing Stevie Wonder’s Songs In The Key Of Life, my love for music grew into a marriage!!!! I started to play piano at 15, played the trombone from middle school thru high school, and has sung in choirs at church and background work. I’m with the BEST BAND IN THE WORLD, Be On It. I'm a keyboardist, producer, arranger, and composer. I’ve had the honor and privilege to work and share the stage with some awesome artists such as PJ Morton, Jeremih, Chantae Cann, Bashiri Asad, Kenny Garmon, L.
