At birth, Sylvia was adopted into an abusive home environment. She started working to earn money for her own clothes at age nine, then, shortly after getting her first job in a fast-food restaurant at age 15, was sexually molested by her supervisor. She was able to graduate with her high school class with honors. Her amazing story goes on from there and could easily be made into a Hollywood blockbuster. There’s a lot Kelly dives into in this episode, but it's important to note that just last year, Sylvia sold a company she started in 1995 simply as a way to support her family.
